The CW has put in development iZombie, which Thomas and Ruggiero will write based on the characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred and published by DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint. iZombie, from Warner Bros TV and Rob Thomas Prods, is a supernatural crime procedural that centers on a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. But with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories, and with the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head.

OH MY F*CKING CTHULHU! I hope this turn to be in a Buffy-ish way more than TheVampirediaries-ish way. I'm so fan of the comic!!! I'm BEYOND EXCITED!!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha I just imagine the CW's drama announcer being like "iZombie...this fall on The CW" and it makes me laugh hahaha.
ReplyDeleteIt's The CW, what do you expect?
ReplyDeleteThis sounds interesting but I don't know if the CW can pull it off. Hoping for yhe best, expecting mild mediocricy at best.
ReplyDeleteI see that The CW isn't giving up on the zombie genre just yet.
ReplyDeleteBuffy was a WB show (CW nowadays)!!! And yes, I'm scared of this, because a great comic can turn to be a crappy CW tv series :-/
ReplyDeleteIt has to be a disaster!! noway in hell cw can make this without making it a complete laughing stock!! the idea is good but not for cw,sorry!!
ReplyDeleteGot excited by the title, then that faded when I read the synopsis. I would love to see the CW's PG take on TWD. I love zombie movies/shows, but I didn't like Warm Bodies that much.. I like my zombies mindless and savage lol.
ReplyDeleteThose were the old days.
ReplyDeleteWarm Bodies is later to the comics of iZombie, and believe me, iZombie is NOT Warm Bodies. It's just like Buffy meet Nancy Drew who is a zombie.
ReplyDeleteOh you're SO right!!
ReplyDeleteI miss WB, great shows. :(.
ReplyDeleteThis wouldnt be good on any network, the synopsis is awful.
ReplyDeleteNot overly excited by this news, but I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the BBC zombie series In the Flesh last year. Who knows.
ReplyDeleteWarm Bodies is one of the few zombie stories I like.
ReplyDeleteSo now, how many things are CW developing? Seems like so many
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a comedy
ReplyDeleteIt is, but they seem to be keeping most of their shows anyway so some of these might not even pan out.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, this show have to have comedy like the comic book, that for sure :)
ReplyDeleteThe plot looks pretty lame to me.
ReplyDeleteMr Floppy ¬¬ mardision gitana pa ti.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Tru Calling. Sorta.
ReplyDeleteThe synopsis is hilarious. XD
ReplyDeleteSounds aweful to me.
ReplyDelete"How are you such a good detective."
"I eat brains. You should try it sometime."
I'm happy that The CW seem to be embracing all things sfi-fi & supernatural but this is the wrong project.
