While talking with reporters on set at the 200th episode celebration, Craig Thomas shared that the while there is a potential spinoff in the works (with a whole new group of characters), for the creative team behind the show, this particular story ends when the series finale airs: “April 28th [when the series finale concludes] at 9 PM is the end of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.” (A CBS rep had no comment.)

Nooo, don't leave me that soon! I'm not ready for this.
ReplyDeleteWhat. No May Sweeps series finale?
ReplyDeleteWhoa, April 28th?! That's too soon.
ReplyDeleteOne day after my birthday!
ReplyDelete哈哈
ReplyDeleteWhat?
ReplyDeleteSurprised they manage to stretch out the remaining 12 episodes for that long.
ReplyDelete9PM, huh? So are we to expect a special one-hour documentary about the show before that? Similar to the one Friends had when it aired its series finale 9 years ago...
ReplyDeleteGiven that they're probably going to air only two episodes in January as usual, and only two in February because of the Olympics, if this is true it mean we're getting a total of 8 episodes in March/April!
ReplyDeleteProbably not. I think the series finale itself is an hour.
ReplyDeleteYes, but if it starts at 9PM, instead of the usual 8PM slot, it means it's running from 9 to 10, which means, that there are other plans for the 8 to 9 PM slot!
ReplyDeleteNo, he is saying that the show "ends" at 9 PM.
