    Wow, what a sneak peek, over 2 minutes! I was hoping Mycroft would return ;) Rhys Ifans is a wonderful casting choice.

    I actually think about it all the time. Not that I am a genious living in agony and a drug addict :) but I think about other people, like how the world had more truly great thinkers in the past and I believe that part of it is to blame in the chaotic and distracting life of our era.
    If one reads about Kant's daily schedule, one can realize that he actually had time to think and focus and it would take a serious isolation from the society to recreate that nowadays. I think it is a valid point and suits the character, since he has a perception well above average.
    It is a nice hint of the writers towards their justification as to why this Sherlock is more "intense" than the classic Sherlock. Nice touch.

    LOVE this scene! Sherlock opening up and actually taking the sobriety meetings somewhat seriously until "Fatty" throws him for a loop.... I so cannot wait for this ep!

    I'm really happy that Mycroft is back. I hope we'll get more references to the book about him.They talked about his laziness and his weight in the first episode of the season which is great. But another big feature of the original character is that his "senses are unnaturally keen" too, even more than his brother's. I think this could make the character really interesting.

    I disagree. I think there are still many great thinkers in our current era but that the general public simply doesn't care as much. There is just so much competition these days, that it's hard for a single one to stand out. Also, it would be impossible for someone to be a true genius, a polymath, in our time since the amount of knowledge one must study to be considered one almost seems infinite.
