The "random" mix of monsters makes me want to watch it more than ever, there's got to be a reason for these particular monsters. They never dealt with who "tried" blowing up the TARDIS, so maybe it's partly involving that partnership (or was that undone when he rebooted the universe?)
I noticed that as well. It's looking more and more like the Christmas special is going to be one big cluster bomb of bad guys. I also liked the nice touch of Capaldi's face in the fire.
It was the Silence who tried to blow it up, as a fail safe in case he escaped the Pandorica I guess, not knowing that River could also pilot it. It was all done to try and stop a war that happens in this episode if rumours are to believed. The war last for hundreds of years, we see this in the episode itself...the endless war that Korvarian refers to, I assume that S6 takes place at some point during this episode to try and stop it ever starting.
I don't know, most of that sounds plausible (and some of it sounds awesome) but I don't think the Silence were actually responsible for the TARDIS exploding.
Hmm, I had heard that 'Handles' (the cyber head Matt is carrying around for a lot of the episode) was meant to be a wooden rather than metal, but it doesn't look like that in this photo. Pretty cool to have that lil bit of info about Handles confirmed though :D
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
this looks... weird?? O.o
ReplyDeleteInteresting photo. For a second there, I thought Clara was wearing a wedding ring but it's the wrong hand.
ReplyDeleteGlad I wasn't the only one to think that, lol.
ReplyDeleteAngel hands under the snow to the bottom left is interesting too

ReplyDeleteOh nice, I hadn't spotted that thou I assume that the 12 o'clock hands on the tower are a nod to him too

ReplyDeleteLooks like the Eleventh's final episode is going to be an explosive one.
ReplyDeleteClara looks like she's upset that he ruined her Christmas dinner.
ReplyDeleteWeird poster.
You don't know how right you are ;)
