I loved the scene where Vin and JT exchange snacks without a word or glance, like it's just old habit kicking in out of muscle memory. It's the first sign their friendship is still there under the amnesia.
I hope it doesn't cause too much of a kerfuffle, I'm slightly disappointed but so are quite a few fans. I liked it well enough just not what I was expecting after Hothead.
No you're not alone! Several of us didn't care for this episode at all! I didn't hate it, but it's definitely my least favorite so far. Let's just say there was more I didn't like than I liked.
This episode had a lot to live up to after last week's "Hothead". I still enjoyed it but it didn't have the same impact. One thing I noticed was that there were a lot of thank yous! The fight scenes were well executed and for once Vincent had to use some skill instead of " swiping everyone from the scene"! At least Vincent has acknowledged Cat's devotion and his need to have her in his life. So much better than the blank incomprehension in "Who Am I"! Loved the bromance scene and will be much happier when Vincent also acknowledges JT's sacrifices. I was heartbroken when JT said to Tess " at least you friend still remembers you". I expect from the pattern emerging that the next episode will be awesome! Here's hoping!
great episode, showing us that Vincent wasnt always the noble hero we have today!! some great scenes just wish Gabe would back off...before he gets hurt in more ways than one #BatB #Reunion another quality episode from an awesome set of writers
SO true that I did expect a lot after loving the first 4 eps of Season 2 so this wasn't my fave for reasons but definitely the sweet kiss gets my vote! ♥ Glad my precious BBs are on the same page again. Next week should be grand judging from the preview! Hurry Monday! :D
Now i kow why I'm feeling so disconnected with S2 : I don't get the romance . I get the action (even too much for me ) , the mythology ,some drama and few not-so-romantic bones thrown in the middle . Vincat are off. Dead . You can sense it. There's no passion, no emotion , no chemistry. Nada . Niet . Annoying and annoyed . Their cold interactions are hitting on my nerves . If S1 was about "when will they kiss? " S2 is more about "Ok , let's them kiss and get over this crap asap" . I was looking forward to an achingly romantic season , I've got one of the most boring fake Tv couple I have ever seen in a while. Sorry Cat you are not "destined" to be right now you are "comdemned" .So , a glips to a pretty bar tender was enough to remember everything about Gabrielle . One night and 5 episodes with Catherine and he got just memories about a metal fire escape ? Wow. Romantic and gross. And what about Cat finding out that Reynolds is her real father ? Com'on this should have been THE moment and it was one of the most insulting , laughable moment I've ever seen on Batb. Brutally honest: I don't really care what they will do in the next episodes . The U-Turn for me has been brutal , chaotic and emotionally disconnected with the old characters .I guess the new action-packed direction is not really helping THIS show. Cold Turkey time for me. Done for now.
I feel like crying as I admit, I agree with you. The show has become more action packed but the intense romance that defines Beauty and the Beast has been lost somewhere amidst the crazy pace of the season.
I liked, the JT and Vincent moments in the bar as well as on the sofa JT is so in tune with all things Vincent, I feel so bad for JT, I also liked how V recognized how much Cat has sacrificed for him, Gabe has over stayed his welcome, I can understand him being grateful for cat saving him but now this is becoming the Gabe show, a little more JT in the mix please!!!
I liked it a lot but wished it had more VinCat moments. Cat also seems lost in limbo and poor Vincent does not know where to stand. Action scenes were very impressive, interesting new character, it was good to see Vincent & JT hanging out and Cat doing the same with her friends. Loved the flash back of Vincent's past, and details on Cat's past. We are finally learning more and more about these characters that we love so much. Gabe irritated me and he cannot be trusted. JT & Tess were s delight as always. Am looking forward to next week's episode. ..hope we have more VinCat scenes. #BatB
Just realized that Vincent smiles a lot when he's with other women . Alex , Gabrielle, the waitress . Too bad he never smile when he's with Catherine. They don't have a happy relationship. Really sad.
I liked that JT was back. I think we didn't get enough VinCat moments. And I hated seeing Gabe around Cat so much, I cannot believe after what he did on S1 they r pushing him as a good guy. He is not a good guy and he should stay away from Cat! I don't get how Cat can smile at him after what he did to Vincent.
Not surprised that Vincat didn't make PCA onscreen chemistry nomination . The audience is not blind . Not really sure what's wrong with JR & KK but they should better step up because Vincat love boat is sinking .
For the first time, what a disappointing episode! The whole story about Zach made no sense to me. So V had a thing with his girl, then she wrote Zach a letter telling him about it, but they were still friends while in Afghanistan? Why didn't he fight him there? How is this unresolved between them and why did he pretend to be friends with him in the first place but then reveal his intentions of killing Cat and him? On that note wouldn't have been easier to killer her without tipping him off first? I'm also starting to question where the writers are going with the whole new V super-beast/ killing machine/full-on badass theme. Although new V is cool, I liked the old one a lot better. He was a bit of a loser and loner and his vulnerability nicely balanced the 'beast' side of him. For the first time also I didn't like the V/Cat dynamic. Dare I say... I saw no chemistry between them in this ep., as if they're both a bit bored with it, especially during the last scene after the fight. That whole dialog was a bit forced. I've really loved the show so far so fingers crossed it's one time thing.I hope the writers won't screw this up, I really don't want to see it cancelled!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Liked this episode, not as great as last week but still good! Can't wait to see your review!
ReplyDeleteVincent remembers he hooked up with Zack' s ex and bar fight ensures.
ReplyDeleteI loved the scene where Vin and JT exchange snacks without a word or glance, like it's just old habit kicking in out of muscle memory. It's the first sign their friendship is still there under the amnesia.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Kiss and finally some bromance time #BatB #Reunion

ReplyDeleteWe need more JT and Vincent time. That scene was like 5 seconds and JT was basically in the corner at the bar.
ReplyDeleteNo you're not alone! Several of us didn't care for this episode at all! I didn't hate it, but it's definitely my least favorite so far. Let's just say there was more I didn't like than I liked.

ReplyDeleteThis is true but at least we get some time ^^ Less Gabe, more Bromance please!
ReplyDeleteI love their chemistry
ReplyDeleteI love BATB ^__^
It's hard to choose one, there are so many for different reasons...

ReplyDeleteYes so true! not my favorite but then last season I didn't love them all! Just going to hang in for the ride!

ReplyDeleteCat and Vincent together strike sparks
ReplyDeleteThank you! He is not a good guy. I find it ironic that peeps forgive Gabe so easily but Vincent can never catch a break.
