  1. I'm glad they will be able to finish the show properly. I hope we will get a great (satisfactory) ending.

  2. The final season will have 10 episodes and will air on FXX.

  4. I'm so happy I'm chasing my tail.

I'm glad, honestly, because after the dismal ratings of this summer, the renewal wasn't a sure thing, even if we're talking about the amazing FX — the absence of Wilfred's buddy Louie, and thus of some viewers who chose not to tune in every Thursday for only 30 minutes of programming instead of a full hour, probably didn't help.

Above all, this show needs to tell a definite story and give viewers closure, and with a final 10-episode season announced well in advance, the writers will be able to solve all the mysteries — kind of unusual for a comedy.

All hail FX, a place where they respect showrunners, and thus the integrity of their great series.

I'm a bit annoyed by the 10-episode order instead of 13 like the previous three seasons. That brings the show to 49 episodes. Why not 50, or even better 52? Those are superior numbers [/ weirdo out]

  6. You don't agree that it's a comedy?

  7. For us, it's 49 episodes. For the network, each episode costs millions of dollars to produce. I find it weird that they make the final season 10 instead of 13 episodes, but I guess they are trying to save money where they can.

I think a third season of The Newsroom is already official, just not press release-official. I thought that if it turns out Aaron Sorkin does not have time, then they just delay it until he does. That's what happened with Curb Your Enthusiasm, isn't it?

I have to say I like that they are ending summer shows. Means fresh new content that will hopefully attract an even bigger audience than the shows that ended. But I honestly never expected Dexter, Breaking Bad, Burn Notice and Futurama to end the very same summer. That was a big surprise to me.

  8. its obviously a comedy but i dont see whats the point of moving it to another channel for the final season when fewer people will be able to see it

  9. The fact that it's a comedy is the reason that they're putting it on FXX, as it is their comedy channel.

  10. Yet they're not putting anger management on there

  11. Well, I can't explain that one. Maybe they don't realize it's supposed a comedy because it isn't funny.
