Originally I thought it would be for Walt himself, but once they started pointing out Lydia's stevia stuff every episode it became more apparent she was going to get and deserved it.
Same here... I was sure Walt would go on a suicide mission, and that he would take the ricin to prevent getting caught. But the machine gun car robot made sure of all of that already!
A. It doesn't make sense how Walt got the Ricin into the Stevia. B. It was glaringly obvious that's the direction they were going that I thought it was a red herring. C. It would've tied up Jesse's storyline up better than him just driving off
Walt...because it would be neat for first time watchers of the show to see Walt with the Ricin for the first time only to find out that it was himself it would eventually be used on.
I think they got it right with the Ricin going to Lydia, but honestly, I think Jesse has wanted to die for most of the last season and the Ricin could have been almost a mercy killing if given to him.
As it ended I see anything but a "happy ending" for Jesse. He still will be torturing himself, guilt-ridden, make bad decisions and want to die...
Agreed. What is crazy hysterical laughing Jesse driving off to exactly?
No home, no job, no girlfriend, no money, no easy life as he will be a wanted man. All the guilt and trauma of before with even less positive aspects in his life.
And in addition, of course he can never have Brock. Even if he knew where to look for him, a drug using, meth cooking, FBI/ DEA most wanted high school drop out is not exactly material for adopting a child. Especially considering his connection (and yet another terrible decision) to Brock's mother is the reason she is dead!
At least death by Ricin would have brought a peaceful end for him....
I liked that Jesse´s storyline ended like that. Not everybody had to die for the series to end, so it was good that Jesses end was left open. I would have been disappointed if everybody died, that would have seemed like the easy way out for the writers.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteVoted: Walt Jr.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm a horrible person but I just hate this character!
Lydia, I felt like everybody got the right ending. It was a very fulfilling ending for me.
ReplyDeleteTwo people voted for Jesse!!! :-( I´m sooo happy that Jesse survived.

ReplyDeleteLydia. They got it right. There will be no more blue meth now that Todd, Jack, and Lydia are dead.
ReplyDeleteLydia was the right choice.
