Episode 3 of the Tomorrow People is by far the best yet. It's filled with thrills, action and multiple twists that are unpredictable.
The episode is very Cara-centric. There are a few flashbacks to Cara before joining the Tomorrow People, and the present day portions of the episode contain scenes that are either about her or can involve her. We get to see four different sides to her across the episode, and it's really interesting to see how they come together.
Stephen, still adjusting to his newfound powers is having some personal problems. I won't speak to what they are, but the storyline can be felt through the entire episode. The writers do a good job of reminding us about it and a lot of the scenes that aren't even connected to it can be related to it. However, John and Cara both frustrate Stephen when he asks for help, so we get to see a side of Stephen that has to deal with that frustration.
Meanwhile, Stephen is using his position as a double agent to good effect. The result however, could lead to some serious issues with Jedikiah. In terms of him, he shows that he can be ever so slightly reasonable at times. It's not much, but it's something.
The episode ends with a cliffhanger that could be very problematic for the Tomorrow People AND Jedikiah in the near future.
Other bits:
- When you see Stephen's first scene, you'll see a superpower that he really does not posses.
- The fight scene is awesome.
- Telepathy isn't as good as people think.
- "Go grab a water, maybe change my shorts."
- "I am a supercomputer.
Watch The Tomorrow People on the CW, 9/8c this Wednesday.
