Ey Klaus, you missed the part where you killed your own brother because he was trying to help you, killed two innocent girls because you wanted to break a curse and kept slaves around for a year.
Because Klaus is perpetually lonely and isolated because of his own destructive choices and thus has no one to talk to, to confide in, and no one to "understand" him?
If the conversation they had last episode at the end is to be used as a point of reference, I take it that the love square has already begun (let's not forget Rebekah).
I think they added Cami in to the mix a bit too quickly. I don't mind the character at all but wish we had more of a set up as to why Marcel picked her out specifically as his human obsession and why -- besides being compelled by Klaus -- Cami's so quickly drawn in to hanging with all of these people who are, let's face it, a bit creepy. Again, it just feels a bit rushed with her character's introduction. I suppose this is the episode where we sort it out?
If you watched the episode about The Originals on the last season of TVD you will see that Klaus and Cami had a moment. I know that it would not be that simple but Klaus likes her.
When was the last time klaus said Caroline's name? In may during the season finale for tvd. If in this show his feelings mirror those in tvd then klaus is well aware that he and Caroline aren't happening anytime soon (if at all).
That's the problem. They make this big deal about it and then if it's not convenient it's swept under the rug. Besides Cami reminds me a lot of Caroline. Chances are she'll end up a vampire anyway
I liked Klaus's interactions with Caroline but their whatever-it-was was completely fan-on in my opinion. They realized how much fans liked the pairing (more like idea of the pairing) and gave them a lot more of it. i dont think the writers ever had the intention of actually pairing them together. I mean if you think of the nature of their relationship (Klaus having Tyler bite her, Klaus trying to kill her friends, Caroline trying to kill Klaus and using his affections to distract him, Klaus staking Caroline and biting her, KLAUS BEING AN UNREPENTANT PSYCHO) you would ask yourself why else would the writers continue with Klaroline if wasnt because the female viewers were hooked on it. So I understand that now that the originals have their own show they would want to start him over away from the craze. Though if they are planning on starting him over with Cami they are sadly mistaken. Not many people are buying it. Though from reading some interviews Joseph has done, his relationship with Cami is not what the fans (and those that would strike against it) are making it and that it is not going to turn romantic (let's toast to that).
ok so here is an interview Joseph did today where he talked about the Caroline business.
Joseph on Klaroline:
“Oh, people care about that? Really?” We’re building something here and it will be referred to. It’s not like we’re like, “Well, that’s done. Forget everything we built up and you invested in.” I think there’s got to be some kind of resolve. But yeah, for me it was a surprise how much people responded to it.
So first off, I am not part of any "fanon" or whatever the hell that is. I just finished watching the entire vampire diaries series on netflix this last summer. I made my comment based on what VD set forth as reality: that Klaus was never in love or has not been "in love" in a really long time, and that Caroline was the first girl he was interested or cared about in forever. The show itself said as much over and over again, and then re-confirmed it again during the season 5 finale of VD. The reason I mentioned Caroline was that again, VD made a huge deal about Klaus being in love with Caroline, and then proceeded to have him completely move past her and apparently onto Cami within a month or two of time. I just think that even if it is a different show, they are the same characters and there should be some kind of consistency.
Honestly, Joseph Morgan (as awesome as he is) doesn't really have a say on who Klaus cares about--that's up to the show's writers or producers.
Well first of all I never said you said you were involved in anything I was just commenting on the reason I thought the Klaus/Caroline romance came about, that it was pushed on by the fans who read too much into something that wasn't suppose to be a big deal. Second of all, I send you that link not because I had something to prove but because I was reading the interview and I remembered what you said about"Klaroline" being downplayed in the originals and so I thought you might have been interested in reading what Joseph who is in a position of knowing what the writers have in store had to say in the matter.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteKlaus is such a good person
That is one hell of a spin Klaus is putting on recent events. He'd make a good White House Press Secretary.
ReplyDeleteHe seems to leaving out the part about how Hayley is pregnant with his child.
ReplyDeleteIt's an odd conversation. I don't know why he's telling her any of that.
With recent news they could probably use it :P
ReplyDeleteBecause Klaus is perpetually lonely and isolated because of his own destructive choices and thus has no one to talk to, to confide in, and no one to "understand" him?
ReplyDeleteI think there's going to be a love triangle between Klaus/Cami/Marcel.
ReplyDeleteI sure as hell hope not but, knowing the people who created this show, the chances that you're right are pretty good.
ReplyDeleteIf the conversation they had last episode at the end is to be used as a point of reference, I take it that the love square has already begun (let's not forget Rebekah).

ReplyDeleteTVD felt very rushed to me as well. Elena & Stefan didn't really have any build-up they were just suddenly in love.
ReplyDeleteI am loving this show :D:D:D:D
ReplyDeleteI really LOVE this show!! but this Cami character is sooo plain and boring! I hope there won't be a love triangle...
ReplyDeleteIf you watched the episode about The Originals on the last season of TVD you will see that Klaus and Cami had a moment. I know that it would not be that simple but Klaus likes her.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how when Cami is being compelled into dating Marcel and isn't actually interested in him.
ReplyDeleteUm isn't Klaus supposed to still be in love with Caroline????
ReplyDeleteWhen was the last time klaus said Caroline's name? In may during the season finale for tvd. If in this show his feelings mirror those in tvd then klaus is well aware that he and Caroline aren't happening anytime soon (if at all).
