Let's start with Rigsby and Van Pelt. I was so happy for them. They finally reached their happy ending, after five years of on-and-off relationship.
The opening scene was one of the cutest in the episode. Rigsby wakes up and finds out that Grace is playing with his son, Ben. - how much did he grow up? - Those three are like family now. And finally, they revealed an important thing about relationship at work: agents can date. Life is too short to waste time, so Rigsby really started thinking about the idea of marriage, especially when the murder case involved a man killed during the preparations for a wedding. To reunite all the family and catch the killer, Lisbon suggests Rigsby to create a distraction during the cerimony. And what a distraction! I'm sure a marriage proposal wasn't exactly what Van Pelt expected to! Lisbon's face really touched me. She was surprised, but happy for them, and still even a little bit sad. Maybe she was looking into her life and dreaming about a future like that?
The episode also had some cute Jane and Lisbon moments. I liked the one in the office when he helped her with her jacked, and then lifted her hair behind her back. It's just me or those just are getting closer a little bit more? The personal space seemed disappeared.
Finally we got to know better Sceriff McAllister. Jane got the CBI to investigate in Napa Valley, so he could take a look at the Sceriff. Firsty, Lisbon noticed McAllister apparently seemed to have afraid of heights: he couldn't go upstairs, he couldn't watch the beautiful view outside the church. That was curious because later, when Jane was in danger and hung in the balance, he approaches with the help of a scale and gave him a hand.
Writer Daniel Cerone always reminds us this show is about a sorrow soul and his path to avenge his family by finding and killing the man who murdered them. Cerone had already described Patrick Jane's heart last season with Devil's Cherry. In this episode, when Jane looks at Van Pelt and Rigsby getting married and how they're so happily together, he smiles but cries. Surely, he's pleased, but I can say his thought went to his wife. Or as if he was wondering when happiness will come to knock again on his door.
I'll leave you with all those two gifs.
Did you enjoy the episode and the wedding? Can you say Sceriff McAllister is out of the suspects?
