Here is where we left off last season : Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) is happy going to her junior prom, but when hidden secrets are revealed plans begin to change. Dorrit (Stefania Owen) is determined to take her relationship with Miller (Evan Crooks) to the next level, but things hit a bump along the way. For the first time in her life, Mouse (Ellen Wong) decides to defy her parents to date whom she wants. Tom (Matt Letscher) begins to struggle with sneaking around, especially when he thinks someone might be on to him. Elsewhere, Larissa (Freema Agyeman) makes Carrie and Walt (Brendan Dooling) an enticing offer. Sebastian (Austin Butler) and Maggie (Katie Findlay) share a kiss, and when Carrie finds out, she is to heartbroken to forgive them both.
When I heard the show got picked up for a season season I was thrilled. I would off been pretty bummed if they canceled the show after seeing the way the ended their last episode. I recently got a chance to see the new episode for the second season and I can officially say I am super excited where they are headed this season.
A new character is introduced in this episode and as most of you guys know it's Samantha Jones, who will be played by Lindsey Gort. I have not watch the original "Sex in The City" series but I can say that Lindsey Gort was a perfect cast to play the younger version of Kim Cattrall. I'm going to write down some key points of this episode without spoiling to much.
Spoilers
- Carrie is spending her summer living Manhattan with Walt in Larissa's fabulous loft.
- Walt and Donna have become really good friends and when Walt invites Donna to hang out with Carrie, she brings someone along; which Carrie isn't too happy to see.
- Maggie now works at the country club, and gets picked by Donna and her friends.
- Sebastian still regrets that he kissed Maggie, and he tries to avoid her as much possible.
- Mouse and her boyfriend are still going at it strong. Seems like after all her parents like him now and they think that he is will have a good influence on her.
- Dorrit has been keeping her relationship with Miller a secret and Mr. Bradshaw doesn't even know about it until Carrie accidentally mentions it to him.
- Before Samantha is introduce, we find out that she is cousins with Donna.
- Carrie's chest game with Sebastian.
- For you girls out there! We see some Sebastian shirtless scenes ;)
- Sebastian and Carrie's first scene together.
- Carrie meeting Samantha for the first time.
- Miller meeting Mr. Bradshaw.
- Mouse forgiving Maggie.
- Samantha helping Carrie break in Larissa's loft.
- Dorrit's crazy make up is back!
Over all I give this episode a 9 out of 10. Great to see back Anna Sophia Robb back in action, she is such a talented young actress. Can't wait to see what else is in store for us.
