  1. its amazing to see Jared go from Sam to Zeke in a second's time

  2. And there I was hoping to get a sneak peek at Cas' new human life.

We'll I guess our holy, perfect and in no way favoured by the writers Super!Sam will have to do ;)

  3. interesting... it looks like Ezekiel will be switching on more and more...

    ReplyDelete
  4. We got that in promo and spoiler pictures. I don't want more really because I'd like to be surprised while watching the episode and we already know a lot stuff

  5. OMG.I SCREAMED.I did not expect that :O

    ReplyDelete
  6. yeah yeah Sam went jogging....but lets deal with the real shocker... DEAN HAS A BATHROBE?!?.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I like that this seems a little more like the Sam from first couple of seasons. The Sam with hope...

    ReplyDelete
  8. At least he's not 'I don't feel sorry anymore and thus all my sins are washed away' Sam anymore

    ReplyDelete
  9. me ? Nah, never. I'm not bitter about any CW show at the moment...

Elijah being in a coffin ? Doesen't itch me a bit
Dean being pushed into feeling guilty again while Sam gets both powers and glory ? Not at all
TVD now being 'The Shipper Diaries' ? What do I care ?

    ReplyDelete
  10. See I wouldnt mind this type of comment if it wasnt for the fact that Sam has more than made up for his wrongs and the fact there is hardly anybody who hasnt got it wrong even with good intentions. including Aa certain angel.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I wonder if Zeke will pop up and save the day again?

    ReplyDelete
  12. My problem with Sam making up for his sins is that it's more the typical 'Yeah, I died. Y'know ? I made up for it' writing sh*t the writers pull.

Sam does something bad, sacrifices himself and is forgiven again....because he died....again

Cas still lives under the weight of the wrongs he did in season 6, that was 3 years ago.

  13. Do not agree with you at all on anything you said and will not defend Sam from statements like this when there is no need. This type of thinking and resentment that Sam has never done enough and poor Castiel is still dragging around his mistakes is something that will set me off and this is not the thread for this.

Sam carry's those scars which is why he got in the mess he did and he is not being allowed to move on from them as Tracy proved. As for Castiel you and I differ on how much he is still carrying the weight around.

  14. You're doing the same thing mac is doing... Everyone can have a different opinion but you're being just as disrespectful to Cas' fan's as he was to Sam's...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well then we are both has bad as each other and I am sure his view will not change anymore than mine will.

    ReplyDelete
  16. That was creepy. lol But seriously that's the first thing i said, actually first thing i noticed...He went running?? LOL I'm surprised Dean took that long to notice. But glad Sam is doing better.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Awesome change over, love the eyes..Jared has always been great playing different characters.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Man, having Sam and Zeke transition back and forth at the drop of a hat has gotta be hella confusing for Dean. Never know who you're gonna be talking to any given moment. Confusing for Sam, too, since he'd just black out for a couple minutes, randomly.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I am giving you an up vote for the Elijah in a coffin and TVD being not so good this year..
I am going to give SPN time to work their magic this year and will hope for the best. So far I am loving where this is going.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, I don't think Sam has forgiven himself, despite what he says. He's still carrying that crap around, and he has as much self hatred as Dean does, they're both way messed up.

Sam really HASN'T been able to forget about what he did, for example when he accidentally let Lucifer out, because TPTB had a minor character bring that up completely out of the blue and for apparently no reason but to make Sam feel shitty. Dean likes to bring up stuff Sam has done, too, despite him saying in the past that it was all behind them.

I really don't think Castiel is still feeling guilty for what he did...and even if he is, no one else is constantly reminding him he nearly killed Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Whoa at that change. Jared's pretty good at this!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Still bothered by the lack of Sam, especially in 9.02...but I've not given up hope they'll get it together and realize that it's possible, and important, that they focus on BOTH Sam and Dean...they're both the main characters, after all. :P

  23. Yours is only post so far where I chose to "out" myself on one my extremely rare vote downs. As other posters have noted the PROMO that the CW aired was very Cas heavy, and I'm not alone in being delighted by the Bro scene sneak peek ... it's what many Bro Fans have wished for, that Sam be shown as obviously carrying about Dean as Dean is about Sam. JP's turn-on-dime transition from Sam to Ezekiel was delicious icing on a great tasting cake.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It was really cool how Zeke just popped out, but I have a feeling Sam is going to start to wonder about all his memory gaps! Haha!

Kudos to Jared! He went from Sam to Zeke in like one second!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lol, I love Dean's "Dead Guy" slippers and Bathrobe. Sam objected to Dean's wearing them in *I think* 816 or maybe a later one. I'm glad Dean still wears what he wants.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, sooner or later Sam will notice he has gaps in his 'waking memories'.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ezekiel has access to Sam's thoughts so he can erase any doubt that he will have. Of course that would mean more doubts and more erasings...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm not sure Sam has a lot of glory at the moment. He's being used by an angel without his consent. He's living a lie. And he has even less interaction with anyone on the show, which I didn't think was possible.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I can't say Sam's been forgiven. We learned least year that Dean still hasn't really forgiven Sam for his sins, and Sam hadn't forgiven himself. Granted, I thought the Dean SC and Sacrifice speeches were OOC and OTT (esp. the part where he blames Sam for being soulless), but we see that all was not forgiven.

Plus, any forgiveness Sam gave himself or lack of guilt he claimed to have was not genuine since Tracey's words shook him. He he had truly felt his sins were washed away, he wouldn't have been upset w/her comments to him, and he still wouldn't have been reflecting on her comments at the end of the episode.

Honestly, the ONLY reason Sam had no guilt in that S7 episode is b/c
the writers wanted to focus on Dean. It was a Dean episode so Sam
conveniently had no guilt anymore even though Sam has expressed guilt in
some form or fashion since S1.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I literally just wrote something very similar! Haha!

I couldn't agree more w/you. Despite Sam saying he had no guilt, we see that's not true b/c Tracy's words really bothered him and weighed on his mind. If he had truly forgiven himself for all his wrongs, she couldn't have made him feel bad. Sam will likely always feel bad for freeing Lucifer.

I also agree that no one on the show continuously rags on Cas for freeing Sam from the PR, breaking Sam's wall, killing numerous people, freeing the Leviathans, stealing the angel tablet, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  31. LOL So did I. That completely freaked me the hell out. I wasn't expecting him to switch from Sam to Zeke in literally one second.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Kudos to Jared for effectively creeping me right the hell out here. I was so not expecting that at all.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Me neither!!!I was so not prepared for it O_O And I totally didn't expect this to be in the sneak peek!!!But I guess this is why the synopsis says "Ezekiel tells Dean a group of Angels is after Cas" and so Sam and Dean set out to find him.

    ReplyDelete
  34. All Cas ever does is feel guilt and try to atone. That's why he was waiting to die alone in Purgatory.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm a Cas fan and I agree with sharonally lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sam's jogged before, in season 7. I think the Dr. Phil episode. The one with the hilarious outtake. XD

    ReplyDelete
  37. What are you talking about? Sam is a main character and even I (a Dean and Cas fan if I need a label) see that Sam doesn't get the attention he should (though he has lately gotten the more interesting ties to the main plot). I love Cas, but I don't need it to be all about him. You may hate Sam, but not all Cas fans do. Some of us can handle and actually like Sam scenes.

  38. It's called drama and the CW has it in spades, but the network does not control the writers. The network just attracts drama, lol.

The Originals: The actor was filming Saving Hope, another show, so I'm pretty sure that's the only reason he's still in that coffin. Elijah is my fav Original too, but I understand when actors are busy. It's not the writers fault.

Supernatural: Both Dean and Sam have guilt. Just last episode a minor character got to throw the Apocalypse at Sam AGAIN.

Vampire Diaries: That's what it has been centered on. I read the first few books. The love triangle is what it's about. I don't particularly enjoy it, but for some reason I still like the show.

I give credit to Jared for switching so quickly. By the way no way Dean's gonna ditch that gown :)
I am suspicous why Zeke would be slowly healing Sam, yes I think he could be playing but...
This storyline was out of the ordinary and like Dean I will have to get used to the Sam and the angel, can't wait to see Cas! :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. It's hard not to be suspicious but for now I'm cautiously taking Zeke's word that because he is injured it will take a while to heal them both. For now.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yes, you're right. The outtake was hilarious because Jensen never broke. Jared was trying so hard to make him laugh and he just kept going. I love that clip.

Naomi kinda turned out good at the end but lifespan was short. Maybe Cas girlfriend is actually a nice angel?. I do believe we will come across kind female angels its pretty early in the season.
I suppose its so early in the season to judge about Zeke, and I would gladly look like an idiot if he was simply pure. I would feel like I could trust Zeke more if Cas approved of this (if he knew).
My suspiscons are heightened more when Sam went for a 'jog' what if Zeke walked somewhere?. Although I get that's Sam's coping mechanism, because he has done that before.
The red flag was when he met up with Metraton, I did say it could be a trap or he just happened to be there.
Anyway like I said its early and like you said it could be good intentions :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm really enjoying Jared's performance as Ezekiel. :) He's doing a good job. I'm happy to see Dean's concern for Castiel too, and am looking forward to seeing his struggles to survive as a human come Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  44. All he ever does? That is a bit much in my opinion. Yes, after breaking Sam's wall, killing all those angels, and slaughtering all of the people on Earth that we're sinning greatly in his unbalanced (at the end) opinion.... Castiel did apologize to Dean... Not Sam... Not the world... But.Dean. I'm sure that means a lot to some people, but not me.

Trying to stay in Purgatory was a start on the road to redemption in my opinion, but he wasn't tortured like Dean and Sam were... So that short time in Purgatory wasn't sufficient. After that he was totally used by Naomi.... And nearly killed Dean which was some punishment. Again, not sufficient. Since then he has tried to help Heaven, but accidentally messed that up. He still has work to be done to atone in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Poor Dean, if Zeke is going to butt in on his conversations with Sam like that, he is going to be edgy all of the time. The more Ezekiel pops in, the more likely it will be that Sam notices something is off.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sam gets power and glory? Is that the meaning of being an angel condom today? I thought in the Supernatural 'verse, this was a bad thing. One minute Sam is having a conversation with his brother, the next he is pushed aside for Ezekiel to talk. Sam doesn't have the power, Ezekiel does. Sam is not getting glory, he didn't finish the trials and is somehow not feeling guilty for that... He was totally willing to die to finish the trials but stopped for his brother. There is no glory in that. He should be feeling as guilty as Dean does for every demon death, but instead feels good for the first time in forever. That is how he was supposed to feel after getting his soul back because he felt he had atoned for his sins. That is how he was supposed to feel when he abandoned Kevin and all his responsibilities to play at normal with Amelia. That was how he was supposed to feel while the trials were cleansing him... But now he feels good.

Maybe that is what all the glory of Traci's admiration gave to him.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'd much rather see his jammies. These boys wear too many layers.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I also hope Ezekiel is a good angel. My sister and I were just remarking how the angels behave just like the demons. That angel that possessed the grief counselor threatened to strip Sam (or Dean's) skin from his body. Naomi was killing numerous innocents just to track down Castiel. Uriel was always ready to annihilate entire towns.
Aside from Castiel, we haven't met any other good angels. It would be nice to have another good angel as an ally.
And I also think it may be taking time for Zeke to heal and then for him to fully heal Sam. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

    ReplyDelete
  49. We did meet Joshua in the garden during Darkside of the moon. I think Balthazar and even Gabriel were good as we'll... At least they sacrificed themselves to do what was right. Gabriel did bad things, but he came through in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm not sure about Balthazar, but as the Trickster, Gabriel routinely killed and/or tortured innocents whose only crimes were being smug or arrogant. Remember the poor guy who didn't believe in black holes or whatever so Gabriel dropped him in one. Nice!
I'm just saying it would be nice to have an angel on the show who isn't cold towards humans and who isn't willing to kill any human who stand in his/her way. Zeke might be that person>

    ReplyDelete
  51. It was a worm hole and for all we know, that guy ended up being treated like a god on a world that he thinks is a paradise. If it was a black hole, he would be dead of course. If we compare Gabriel's periodic cruel pranks with Castiel's outright slaughter, which is worse? Castiel sacrificed himself to help the Winchesters... But so did Gabriel, and he had less incentive. The professor that the Trickster killed at the beginning of Tall Tales drove a girl to suicide, or maybe she killed herself. Either way, at least some of the people he targeted were more than just smug.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'm blanking on that one. What part did he she play? I know Samandriel was helpful also and Castiel's lieutenant seemed non-evil until Castiel killed her...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Inias was the angel with Hester, back in Season 7, episode 21. Hester tried to kill Cas and Meg killed her. Inias told "crazy Cas" he didn't share Hester's anger and wanted Cas to go back to Heaven with him but Cas refused.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thanks, I had forgotten.

    ReplyDelete
  55. When he was under Naomi's control, he was forced to kill an angel who was good and kind. He then almost beat Dean - the person he cares most about in all of creation - to death. He had no autonomy. Every time he wants to do something good, he instead destroys and hurts.

There's no real apology to the world. But he did want to heal people, and use his powers for good. He wasn't even allowed to do that.

    He did apologize to Sam.

Essentially all Cas does is suffer and die. He never has a moment, even a second, where he feels proud of himself, or feels like he has made a difference.

If that's not punishment, I'm not sure what is for the character.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Gabriel also had someone raped over and over (the frat boy), although the show treated this as comedy.

    ReplyDelete
  57. When did he apologize to Sam? I would hate to not remember something like that. I know that Sam and Castiel talked for a bit a couple of times, but I can't remember that. Do you remember which episode or what was happening? Season 7 or 8?

    ReplyDelete
  58. I don't recall that he had someone raped. I think of it more like an involuntary Doctor's exam. But since slow dancing was the disturbing part, that is why I took. It as comedy. I believe he was a womanizer.

    ReplyDelete
  59. 7.17 "and if I can't tell you again, I'm sorry I ever did this to you"

    ReplyDelete
  60. I wish I had experienced that surprise too, but I saw somebody posting the video on FB with a ''Aaahh Zeke!'' on top of the video or something like that...X_X damn it people!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Does anyone else really hate the men of letter quarters? I was hoping the'd get rid of it for S9 but it looks like it's here to stay :-( I prefere Bobby's place and the dirty motel rooms. This place is awful and i'll never get used it.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh bummer ;/

    ReplyDelete
  63. why don't you just blame the writer for that OK!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Sam did not see Cas say watch the ep again OK!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh, yeah, I had forgotten about that! I was never a Trickster fan, and I didn't care for Gabriel. He was a jerk like almost every angel we've met.
And I how could I forget the emotional and psychological torture he inflicted upon Sam in MS.

    ReplyDelete
  66. To be honest, I do not remember that angel, Hester, or that episode! Haha!
Even though I got S7 as a Christmas gift, I only rewatched like 3 or 4 episodes. I vaguely remember Cas playing "Sorry," but that's it. I didn't care for S7.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yeah . . . Sam was completely out of it when Cas "apologized" to him, so it was not heard by Sam. Then, Cas went crazy and was thrown into Purgatory. He as apologized to Dean a few times for hurting Sam.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Guess you'll have to take my word for it then. I haven't watched any episodes Season 7 since it finished, at all (not time), but I have seen gifs and just have a really good memory when it comes to some TV shows.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Of course it is the writers. Everything that happens with our characters is created by the writers. I was responding to Mac's assertion that this season had Sam getting powers and glory while Dean was forced to feel guilty.

I haven't seen any glory for Sam. I see Sam being put in the corner. Dean protects him by helping Ezekiel take up residence. Then, Ezekiel protects him by blocking Sam's consciousness... And hiding his memories. To me, that doesn't equate to power and glory.

Now, I love hurt!Sam, so those scenarios don't bother me. But, when I see Sam being invisible during most conversations that matter, that bothers me. It most especially bothers me when some fans are mad because they feel that "everything is about Sam" when I am hoping he can at least be looked at by a primary guest. Often he is not even in the room... Or at least conscious in the room.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Ok, he at least tried to tell Sam. I probably blocked that out because I H.A.T.E. the writers "shifting" Sam's problem away. We waited so long for something to show the damage that other characters kept warning Dean about... Then poof! All healed...

    ReplyDelete
  71. Oh, yes, I believe you :-)

I can't remember the episode you reference, but I really enjoyed the first three episodes and Plucky's. I hate that the third episode kicked off that lame "Amy" subplot, but I enjoyed the actual episode!

    ReplyDelete
  72. and I really think that kind of sucks too it just messing him crap sucks out loud and when he finds out I wish all hell can break loose but he will forgive Dean same old same old and I am suck of that.

    ReplyDelete
  73. yes I think he heard Lucy say it you know who I am talking about he said it but we see Cas say it but not Sam.
