Sharon Seymour: The first scene with Lily Rabe and the Gator Attack
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, "Kidnapped", October 14, 2013, Actors: Kristin Kreuk, Jay Ryan
The Scene: Catherine is tied to a chair again
Virginia Fontana: Catherine's reaction to being tied to a chair again, after sleeping with Vincent. "After what we just did?!" Cat is hilarious and awesome.
BOARDWALK EMPIRE, "The North Star", October 13, 2013, Actors: Steve Buscemi, Patricia Arquette
The Scene: Sally punches Nucky in the face
Darth Locke: Sally Wheat gets bored with Nucky's non stop philosophical rant and punches him in the face!
CASTLE, "Number One Fan", October 14, 2013, Actors: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic
The Scene: The kiss in the precinct
Jamie Coudeville: I loved this, it's like they've come full circle. I'm glad that Kate's back on the team.
GREY'S ANATOMY, "I Bet It Stung", October 17, 2013, Actors: Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Sara Ramirez
The Scenes: Meredith and Cristina's showdown outside the OR & Callie's sister wives remark
Max Conte: The working parent examination was great, and this has been coming for a long time. They've always supported each other's views but we all knew Cristina's feelings on the matter. It was only a matter of time before this came out. The acting and writing was phenomenal.
Kelly Ann: Callie's sister wives remark.
HAVEN, "Countdown", October 18, 2013, Actors: Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant
The Scene: Audrey tells Nathan she loves him
Justyna Kubica: This show really amazes me this season. I always knew it was great, but right now, for the third week in a row, it had one of the strongest episodes I've seen all week from all of my shows (which says a lot, if you know me). And I'm still not sure which scene I liked best, I'm quite torn between the moment when Nathan realizes it's Audrey and the part where they finally have a chance to talk alone and Audrey tells him she loves him. Both were emotional and powerful in their own way, but in the end, I decided to go with their last scene in the episode. For a few reasons. First, I really love this couple, so it's great to see at least one of them admitting their feelings for another. I mean, pretty much entire Haven knows how they feel and they never said it to each other, not directly anyway. Also, the return of their dynamics reminded me of so many of their past moments. And I'm glad Audrey made Nathan realize that the fact he couldn't let go of her now means she faces the similar choice and she's the one who's making the decision, not him. I really hope that together they can find another way to end the troubles. They have to. After all, fighting with the impossible is kinda what they do.
Sylvie C: Audrey tells Nathan that the decision was hers because she loves him. That was a beautiful scene. Really emotional and I loved it.
HOSTAGES, "2:45 PM", October 14, 2013, Actors: Dylan McDermott, Toni Collette, Tate Donovan
The Scene: Duncan shoots Brian
Bradley Adams: Duncan shoots Brian in order to prevent Ellen from escaping. The show finally took a stand with some high stakes stuff. Also picked by Daniel van der Veer
MODERN FAMILY, "The Late Show", October 16, 2013, Actors: Ed O'Neill, Ty Burrell and others
The Scene: The end scene
Klutzy Girl: The end scene with the family was adorable. Loved Jay singing "Midnight Train To Georgia" and the rest of the family joining him. Plus, Phil's suit ripping was hilarious. Also picked by Mark Ondo
NASHVILLE, "You're No Angel Yourself", October 16, 2013, Actors: Charles Esten, Lennon Stella
The Scene: Deacon and Maddie's phone call
Klutzy Girl: It was a great scene and I'm glad those two have talked.
NCIS, "Anonymous Was a Woman", October 15, 2013, Actors: Mark Harmon and others
The Scene: The final scene at the airport
Daniel van der Veer: This was a very moving scene. Gibbs brought in the women from Afghanistan and the reunion between mother and daughter was just beautiful. Gibbs also atoned for not getting the other six women in the USA even though Mike Franks requested that.
NCIS: LOS ANGELES, "Reznikov, N.", October 15, 2013, Actors: Chris O'Donnell, Vyto Ruginis
The Scenes: Callen goes to Arkady's house & Callen watches his old family film
Bradley Adams: That was a hilarious scene. I especially loved when Arkady took the gun out of his fridge and found it... uncomfortable to transport it.
Sylvie C: Callen alone at the end and watching his old family film. Chris did an amazing job at this take. I felt all emotional and he did this without saying a word.
ONCE UPON A TIME, "Quite a Common Fairy", October 13, 2013, Actors: Jamie Chung, Sarah Bolger
The Scene: Mulan almost confesses her feelings for Aurora
Klutzy Girl: Mulan almost confesses her feelings for Aurora, but Aurora's confession stops her in her tracks. I shipped these two last season, but I honestly never expected the show to go there. I'm so happy they did. And even with Aurora's pregnancy, I believe this is the beginning of their story, not the end.
PERSON OF INTEREST, "Reasonable Doubt", October 15, 2013, Actors: Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Kevin Chapman, Sarah Shahi and others
The Scenes: Reese and Finch save the vet & Shaw and Fusco go to the bank & Reese leaves his gun for the couple to shoot each other
Bradley Adams: Reese and Finch save the vet. Finch's request for an expensive chew toy for Bear to repay them was brilliant. Also picked by Sharon Seymour
DarkUFO: Shaw and Fusco go to the bank.
A Dahne: Reese leaves his gun for the husband and wife to shoot each other. While this might not be my favorite scene, it was the most shocking scene I watched this week. We've seen Reese save some despicable people before, but he hasn't been this cold since the first episodes. It gives the show a much darker tone than last year.
REVENGE, "Confession", October 13, 2013, Actors: Emily VanCamp, Henry Czerny, Barry Sloane, James LeGros
The Scenes: Aiden is revealed to be scheming with Emily & Emily finds Father Whitley presumably dead and Conrad alive
Virginia Fontana: Aiden is revealed to be scheming with Emily. I knew it, but it was great to see this confirmed.
Pablozky21: A very strong episode ends with a very Revenge-y twist and it couldn't have played out better. It's enough to see Emily's face when she sees the car on fire and Conrad walking out of it alive; it creates a tense enviroment and I was left both shocked and pleased, as this is the kind of thing I love to see on the show.
REVOLUTION, "Patriot Games", October 16, 2013, Actors: Billy Burke, Zack Orth, Elizabeth Mitchell
The Scenes: Rachel finds Miles after waking up & Aaron catches two men on fire in his sleep
Jamie Coudeville: I love these two so much. I'm still mad they didn't show the kiss from the promo but this scene was cute.
Darth Locke: Aaron asleep in bed is able to see where Miles went through the 'firenites' and is able to catch some Patriot enemies on fire!
SCANDAL, "Mrs. Smith Goes to Washington", October 17, 2013, Actors: Bellamy Young, Tony Goldwyn
The Scene: Mellie celebrates that Olivia still walks this earth
Mark Ondo: Bellamy Young was simply amazing during this scene. Fitz already used Olivia to turn the tides in his favor and after his war declaration to Mellie, she makes it very clear that she has every intention of doing the same if she needs to. Her southern accent, the way she stumbled out the door, turning the lights off & leaving Fitz alone in the dark to think about how he underestimated her once again.. It was just fantastic.
SONS OF ANARCHY, "Salvage", October 15, 2013, Actor: Walton Goggins
The Scene: The Return of Walton Goggins as Venus Van Damme
Max Conte: Much needed levity after an extremely dark streak of episodes. Gemma's "Is it one of Nero's girls?" was a great foreboder.
SUPERNATURAL, "Devil May Care", October 15, 2013, Actors: Jensen Ackles, Osric Chau
The Scene: Dean tells Kevin he's family
Justyna Kubica: You know, I was trying to remember when exactly I got so attached to Kevin and I honestly can't. He's quite a fascinating character in a way that he's very interesting, has his own story and purpose, he's definitely someone you want to root for and also, it appears that he can sneak up on you and make you simply like the guy. So, I think I never realized how important Kevin has become over the years (it's been years already?) right till this scene where Dean tells him he's part of the family. And what a great thing to hear, especially for someone so lost, lonely and damaged like Kevin. He thinks he's completely alone in this world, without his mom by his side and here he finds out he's truly one of the team, a family member. It's a very beautiful speech from Dean, as always perfectly acted by the amazing Jensen Ackles. A very emotional, but also warm, positive moment on a show so dark and painful at times. Easily one of my favorites this week.
Sylvie C: Dean tells Kevin he's a part of his family and he would die for him. Jensen is amazing in those emotional scenes and he nailed it again.
THE BLACKLIST, "The Stewmaker (No. 161)", October 14, 2013, Actors: James Spader, Megan Boone, Tom Noonan
The Scene: Reddington saves Liz and kills 'The Stewmaker" (picked by Darth Locke)
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, "Original Sin", October 17, 2013, Actors: Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Janina Gavankar
The Scene: Damon tells Elena she's his life & Tessa tells Stefan her backstory
Virginia Fontana: Damon's speech to Elena that culminates in "because you are my life." Swoon!
Justyna Kubica: I could not pick my third favorite scene, but in the end I decided to go with this one. If only because it's just such a beautiful thing to say, to anyone. What a lovely speech! In his usual Damon-y way, he hides his feelings behind the sarcasm and a very specific tone, but he ends up saying something truly beautiful. And I have to say, I hate triangles with great passion (especially the ones that last so long) and I don't like the fact that it appears we're coming back to square one on this matter. I had high hopes for Stefan and now, I'm getting really tired of this story. BUT... this was just such a nice, romantic moment, that even I wanted to appreciate it.
Kelly Ann: Tessa tells Stefan her backstory.
Jamie Coudeville: I was disappointed with this week's episode, but this scene made it so much better. I'll love these two (especially Damon) until the day I die.
THE WALKING DEAD, "30 Days Without an Accident", October 13, 2013
The Scene: The shopping mall with "raining zombies" (Picked by DarkUFO and Sharon Seymour)
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, "The Big RV Adventure", October 17, 2013, Actors: Mary McCormack, Justina Machado
The Scene: Lisette distracts the cop to keep him from taking Caroline to jail
A Dahne: Caroline gets the RV stuck in the drive-through while Lisette distracts the cop, sexy grandma style, to keep him from taking Caroline to jail. This show is one of the two funniest new sitcoms of the season and I am sad to see it go. I didn't laugh near as hard in any other show this week as I did in this scene. Part of why I liked it so much is that the scene also had heart. I love how Dan stood up for Caroline's need for a burger in the end and Chuey made his wife feel attractive again. Such a combination of laughs and heart is rare these days since most comedies strive for the lowest common denominator instead. Once again I wish I was a Nielsen family.
WHITE COLLAR, "At What Price", October 17, 2013, Actors: Matt Bomer, Mark Sheppard
The Scene: Curtis Hagan shows Neal the pictures he has of Neal breaking into the vault
A Dahne: Mark Sheppard returning on White Collar has long been on my TV Wish List and this episode did not disappoint. I love how Hagan gets Neal right where he wants him and I look forward to seeing how Neal turns the table on him in the future. Here's hoping for lots of Hagan-Caffrey banter this season.
