Helloo, Phoebe! Kidding aside, Mellie manages to annoy me even without sound. The first time I watched it, my sound was off and she still irritated me.
Lawdy "tame his cobra" and Cyrus says it's "good - - - catchy" Mellie looks disgusted but she's the one who let the cobra out of the bag both literally and figuratively.
Cutr. But sometimes I think the writers aim for these catchy lines and quotes every week, instead of focusing on telling a good.story. It's like they want to start the next Twitter trend. What happened to just focusing on a plot ? In a way, it's disgusting. But, still I watch
Heres how: if the writing focuses on zingers, catch phrases and one liners, you get an hour of zingers, catch phrases and one liners, and maybe some story to go with it. However, if the emphasis is on the story, you get an hour of great story telling, with some zingers thrown in as icing. I'm not saying zingers and story should be mutually exclusive. I'm saying they should not be in that order of importance
Part of telling a good story is how it is being told and these catch phrases and one liners do not diminish the quality of the writing but rather add to it, imo.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteIt is officially my mission in life to use the phrase "tame his cobra" at least once a day.
