Loved the whole episode. Was surprised that Dean didn't know about "Clarence" and "It's a Wonderful Life". Liked it when Dean says "I lied. I do that" and the look on Dean's face when Cas was telling him about having sex with the reaper.
I thought the scene where Cas had faith explained to him was really poignant. I love how he's coming to understand humanity's perception of who he was more and more... and maybe getting some new perspective. All in all a pretty solid episode.
The reactions the boys gave Cas when he told them he had sex. Also Sam getting on Dean about his pie. Sam explaining Clarence to him. Cas using Clarence as his human name (in honor of Meg).
My favorite scene was the discussion Cas had at the church with that lady along with the scene where April kills him,Dean panics and Ezekiel heals him.I have many many more though!!It was a great episode!!
I really debated over Cas - don't ever do that again or the I lied... I agree - that was great acting and a powerful moment. It also really made the last scene even more poignant for Dean...
The scene where Cas had Faith explained was really nicely done. Subtle. Cas telling the boys he had sex was priceless. I hope the eviction that started with "Listen Buddy" ended with 'here's the complete and honest status of what's going on and why I have to kick you out.
My favorite dramatic scene was Cas at the church, and my favorite more humorous scene was Cas in the bunker and the boy's reaction to him having sex. Also, "all i read is PIE, the rest is blah blah blah blah blah blah."
Jared turning from Sam to Zeke to Sam, now thats acting and Jensen was going right along with him. Reacting to Sam then Zeke then Sam again all the while trying to hide it from Sam that he was just speaking to the angel inside of him.
Fantastic from the both of them. I hate the angels and the storyline but that was some epic acting by these two, which doesn't suprise me but never fails to make me say WOW!
That scene SO has to happen that way - but I can't see him admitting to Cas what he's done. And if Cas knows and the angels get him that puts Sam in danger... I hope he has a safety plan for Cas.
It's just that the truth is the kindest thing to do for Cas. The man has lost everything, been hunted and injured, and rescued by his only friends in the world and 5 minutes after being told he's safe...he's kicked out. If Dean tells him why, Cas would be upset but he'd understand and go without hesitation (and probably a good lie to Sam.) But if Dean doesn't tell him why....it'll be devastating to Cas. I beg the writers to let Dean tell Cas the truth. Why do I suddenly feel like I'm in the middle of a debate class exercise? :-)
It was a fantastic episode overall. The Zeke scenes were great especially the one in the car!. Faith talk was a powerful scene and Dean 'white lie' that was qick thinking. The Sam movie reference is funny :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
All of the above :)

ReplyDeleteCas finally getting some was priceless, even if the morning after was a bit of a downer.

ReplyDeletethis is my favorite

ReplyDeleteThe scene where Dean reacted to Cas' dead body. I thought it was amazing work from Jensen Ackles, very powerful, especially his voice breaking.
ReplyDeleteI chose three: Zeke bringing the news, Dean's line about lying (very funny), and Cas telling the boys he had sex. Those were my favorite scenes.

ReplyDeleteMy favort was when Dean was trying to explain what happen to Sam and Cas when Ezekiel took over Sam. And when Cass at the end saying he had sex

ReplyDeleteThe above and so much more.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed it all, but favorite is Dean's reaction to Cas having sex and protection..Angel blade..Sam reading what was in the pie and Dean's response.

Haha,Castiel had protection!!
ReplyDeleteThe moment when Dean is resorting to 'Plan B' in his search for Cas, baffling Sam as he tries toi talk directly to Zeke and draw him out.
ReplyDeleteThat scene SO has to happen that way - but I can't see him admitting to Cas what he's done. And if Cas knows and the angels get him that puts Sam in danger... I hope he has a safety plan for Cas.
ReplyDeleteAnd Dean probably actually got to eat the pie for a change!
ReplyDeleteThe pie scene was soooo close to making it!
ReplyDeleteGreat scene - and poor Dean - so out of his depth...

ReplyDeleteI liked the camera shot of the grill of the Impala shaking as we hear the enging being maxed out. It really conveyed a sence of urgency.
