  1. Herschel's speech. My fave by a wide margin.

  2. Me too. It gave me chills. I reminded me of a speech a great leader would've given to his soldiers before enter battle in a war.

  5. Herschel's speech was a damn awesome speech. That and Daryl & co. getting stuck by the zombie herd made for some good ol' fashion zombie killing. Best drama and best action scenes.

  8. The swarm of zombies. Oh my. And then the car got stuck--Yikes!

  9. So many -- first, the excellent scene where Carol is overcome with rage and starts tipping over the blue water barrels. That's the moment I looked at the TV and said "oh wow, it was Carol -- she burned those bodies." There was just something very subtle Melissa McBride was able to telegraph in her performance that strongly suggested this without giving it all away. I thought this scene was so powerfully juxtaposed with Carol's grim resolve at the very end, where Rick asks her outright and she just says "no" and walks away. Another favorite was Hershel's comments about going into the sick ward -- but especially that scene where Dr. S coughs up the blood and Hershel doesn't even flinch. Anyone can make a stirring speech, but that scene really communicated Hershel's grim resolve. I feel like "Grim Resolve" is the theme of this whole fourth season so far -- people are putting all emotion (and sometimes humanity) aside and just gutting through whatever they feel needs to be done, even murder.

  11. Carol says "yes." The idea that her act was neither heroic nor villainous is the crux of the show.

  12. It was reckless.

  13. Had it worked and it saved lives, then the debate is whether the ends justified the means. But it didn't stop the epidemic so now she has to deal with the ramifications of those actions, particularly with Tyreese.

  14. I'm wondering if the disease is making a whole bunch of new zombies now too?

  15. I voted for Carol saying yes, which is the obvious one, and for the group being stuck in the car.

  16. This so many times. You put it so well!

  17. Very likely yes. If it is spread beyond the prison (which we don't know yet), then other people would be dying and becoming zombies.

  18. Just that it wasn't the only choice. Locking them in their cells was another idea, then letting them turn on their own and then finishing them off. Then she could have come clean to Tyreese and he would have to accept her action. She's on the council, but she isn't THE council.

  19. I wouldn't classify that as reckless. Besides, I don't think she was afraid that they would die and turn zombies and attack people. They were locked up so I doubt that was the issue. I think she was trying to prevent the disease to spread.
