  1. Lots of good scenes in this episode, but I adored Charlotte's "confession" and then the evil, self-satisfied look Victoria gave her. When I first watched the scene, I thought Christa Allen was doing a poor job as usual (sorry - I really dislike her acting), but once you realize it was an act on Charlotte's part, it makes much more sense. And damn, Victoria can be downright soulless sometimes, no? Getting her daughter to lie to her father that she tried to KILL him? She really does stop at nothing to forward her agenda.
The Nolan/Patrick stuff was cute, and Ems telling Daniel about losing her parents was a great performance on the part of both the actress and the character. Like she said, sometimes you can gain the upper hand through a show of vulnerability. Well-played, Ems.

  2. Emily opening up to Daniel was such a great moment. Emily rarely gets emotional but when she does we get a glimpse of that little girl that is still somewhere inside her.

  3. Emily opening up to Daniel. The photo might not be her, but everything she said was true, and that scene was just really very good.

  4. It was hearbreaking to see Emily's face when Daniel (who has learned to live up to the Grayson name) said the man his father destroyed and killed was a great dad!

  5. I went for Emily opening up to Daniel because of how much duplicity there was in there with Emily speaking the truth hidden between lies. The fact that her plan worked perfectly also had a smile on my face.

  6. Exactly, the duplicity was what was so good about that scene!

  7. I agree with you on the Charlotte scene. I don't have a problem with Christa's acting, but I thought the scene was extremely poorly written and acted up until the revelation, which made it all the more awesome!

  8. Yeah, it definitely became awesome at that moment. Although, I still found Conrad's reaction pretty unbelievable. It took him all of 3 seconds to not only stomach the fact that his own daughter supposedly tried to kill him, but immediately forgive her and say it's for the best (?!). This whole "Conrad finds Jesus" or whatever plot is going too far. I hope he's got something up his sleeve, like maybe he thinks that if he grants Charlotte his forgiveness, she's pretty much in his debt and he can use her for some nefarious purpose. I still have trouble reconciling Conrad the loving father with the evil douche from the beginning of S2 who had his daughter unjustly locked up to steal her inheritance.

  9. I had actually forgotten about Conrad locking her up to steal from her. I think it was the whole disease thing that made him change a bit his perception of Charlotte. Even though he knows he is fine now, he had a near death experience and thought everything was ending. Although he is now back to his old ways, it is not a stretch to me to believe that made him realize he needed to make amends with his children, hence him being so willing to forgive Charlotte.
