  3. Well the first half was a bore, so i won't even comment on it. BUT i will say, Glad Elena did what i KNEW she would already do, which is say SHE'S WITH DAMON! And really? Ur gonna play the song they first kissed to?? Could you try anymore to throw that "CB" in our faces? Anyway it failed, and i'll also say that was a major tease for the stelena's out there. I swore i heard them yelling. lol Moving on...The second half i actually liked. I'm glad Jer came clean, and i loved the moment between Deremy! That hug was pure, and you can feel the grievance in it. I loved all the Steroline scenes, but seriously Caroline you fell for that?? You of all people?!? SERIOUSLY? Anyways, this episode was mostly about Bonnie, and i'm glad it overshadowed everything else. I'm glad Matt has a little bit of knowledge of what's going on with him, And i'm glad Bonnie had a proper send off. That funeral, and her goodbye to everyone was beautiful. And the song (i'll DL that later) was perfect. The ending was a bit blah, can't say i didn't see that coming, but then again Jesse did last longer than expected. Am i glad Tyler's around? Eh, not really, but i'm glad he came back for Bonnie, i would've hated him if he didn't. More so. I hate that professor. Hated him from the first time i saw him. And now i definitely know why...Meredith 2.0??

  4. Good Elena stopped it. Now fly free, Stefan! Get out there and have some actual fun without being tied to that woman.

  5. Thoughts on the episode

    - Tyler is finally back, missed him
    - Caroline is an idealized teen character, she lacks real depth and seems to only be there so girls can live trough her. But as long as she has a storyline with Tyler and Stefan I am willing to accept her, for now. The writers have to seriously retool her to become likable from my side again.
    - Stefan prooved that despite him being memoryless he doesen NOT have to be a monster and still posseses his good side, he worded my thoughts on last season perfectly and has every right to be mad at Damon and Elena
    - cut Damon and Elena out of the show, this isnt the Damon we grew to love. This is the idealized version of most teen girls dream guy. The roles seem to have ultimately shifted, Damon is now the snoozy character while Stefan is fun and badass
    - Dr. Maxfield is definitely trying to create more vampires to experiment on them or create his own species of vampires. Finally the storyline takes shape
    - Silas and Quetsiyah were heavily missed
    - I still cant believe that Matt has his own storyline now...god how blessed we Matt fans are this season
    - didnt miss Nadia AT ALL, this is one character that needs to be cut. Shes horribly annoying
    - Katherine better be on her way to a certain attic in New Orleans
    - I like Jesse, the actor is really REALLY bad tough, he needs to improve

    - the romance angle between Stefan and Elena did actually appeal to me, it did feel a bit like classic TVD again, the relationship between Stefan and Elena wasnt as idealized as Elena and Damons is now, what looks to be Delenas general problem. Its tearing both characters down and makes both look even worse considering that they didnt just throw Stefan under a bus but that from the moment he found out he had nothing but misery going on in his life. These two need a serious update in their relationship to have it actually be a justified plot threat or just have less scenes together.
    - the funeral felt pretty akward, the entire procedure was...weird. Also it felt emotionally forced since we didnt say goodbye to bonnie, shes coming back....hell Alaric didnt even get a funeral...
    - TYLER GOD IM SO FUCKING HAPPY

  6. I disliked the Stefan/Elena scenes. Elena should just let him figure things out and not be throwing herself at him (especially while she's dating or has feelings for his brother). I liked that Stefan walked out on Damon & Elena and decided he didn't want anything to do with them right then - that should have happened back in mid Season 3.

They wasted Tyler again (just like they did in the prom episode). He had no lines at all. He and Caroline need to resolve their relationship drama.

I didn't feel anything/care about Bonnie's funeral. Elena seemed more upset back in Season 2 when she thought Bonnie had died than she did in tonight's episode - I don't know if Nina's acting has gotten worse or what.

  7. I agree. I don't like that professor guy either and i'm still afraid that we might get an initiative SL (Buffy) or something like the vampire camp in True Blood.

  8. Perhaps funeral scenes ring phoney when they are not about the deceased, but rather the deceased's best friend's love live. I'm thinking about Finn's memorial on Glee and how hollow would've been if the story revolved around Santana's new girlfriend or Tina's new boyfriend instead.

  9. lol i wouldn't take it that far into the buffyverse or TB. But we shall see. = ) But i do feel like maybe he could've killed the roommate (what's her face, lol) to test if she was a vamp? I wasn't thinking that before, but now that he's seemed to kill Jesse with no conscious whatsoever, i don't completely doubt it now.

  10. "Finally", that is how I would describe this episode in one word.
Jeremy finally got the courage to speak out and tell his friends the painful truth,
Elena finally said no to Stefan,
Damon finally gave Jeremy some long overdue respect,
Stefan finally distanced himself from Damon and Elena's relationship,
    Bonnie finally found some peace,
Tyler was finally there for Caroline when she needed him... it was a great episode.

On a side note, I would not have a problem with Stefan never getting his memories back. I hope Tessa never answers her phone haha

  12. The best written episode this season for me. A lot of unresolved issues came to a close tonight The acting was really good as well. The final scene was well executed, yet very sad. BECAUSE DIARIES ARE 4 READING, I am Nobody!!!

  13. Here for Stefan and his big F U to Damon & Elena. None of this 'I'm happy for you' crap.

  15. I don't think we can compare the Glee memorial episode to this episode though...

  16. All I'm saying is: I felt the grief on Glee, and not just because it was a real death but because the storyline rang true in a way TVD could not with this character.

  17. finally an ep I can vote 'awesome' for.

that scene when Jeremy told Damon about Bonnie illustrated why Damon is one of the main reasons I watch this show. he is such a complex and interesting character. The other reason is Caroline
