    Wow...they just created a very good way to make Stefan not give a shit about Elena anymore. Thank! God! I was not looking forward to a season of Stefan moping about that woman, and now he has no need to. In another way it does suck though. He was really close with Caroline and now doesn't even remember her.


    But that unfortunate part is greatly outweighed by the Stelena clean slate. Keep it that way, writers, and I might actually be able to tolerate this really annoying love story.

    I seriously can't take another season of Stelena. If Delena breaks up, I'm done. Have a love triangle is one thing, but the same friggin triangle for 5 years is too long standing IMO. Besides Stelena bores me (sorry Stelena fans) and the only character I truly care about is Damon.

    To be fair, this isn't the same Stefan anymore. From the promo he seems like a different guy. While I agree that I do not want Stefan and Elena to start gravitating toward each other, it has nothing to do with Damon. I want Elena to see that Stefan doesn't need her in his life anymore. His happiness has always seemed contingent upon her.


    If Stelena does happen again, and come on we all know it will, I would like it to start on even ground. Not with Stefan pining after Elena until she finally figures out what she wants. I've dealt with enough of that from shows like Castle. It's annoying.

    Unfortunately, I'm worried that Stefan having amnesia means that he'll fall in love with Elena all over again. They could spice things up and have him fall in love with Katherine instead.


    I am just sick of Damon/Elena/Stefan love triangle and this is the perfect opportunity to end it. Stefan has no memory of Elena or Katherine and he did love Katherine first.

    But Stefan can be happy and have a good time with other people. Lexi was his best friend for a long time and they obviously had a lot of fun and it sounded like he was often happy. Stefan also seemed pretty happy in the 1920s when he was with Rebekah and their fling last season had potential.

    But since he met Elena, his happiness was almost entirely dependent upon her. I mean, think about how he was after Elena and Damon hooked up. The only person who seemed to get through to him then and make him smile a lot was Caroline.

    Ya know what. Idgaf what the "universe" says...we WILL have Delena happy scenes! We didn't finally get what we want just to have it thrown back in our faces so Stefan could lose his memory and POSSIBLY fall in love with Elena all over again!! Like hell!!! He doesn't know who he is FINE. Caroline can be the one to help him with that. That is NOT Elena's job.

    I'd prefer that. The steferine fans would be happy with that. They would finally get what they wanted. Hell they could go with Caroline as well. There's plenty of Steroline fans out there too. (Steroline is my GPC), it could go either way...anyone but Elena!!! She's with Damon, it's there time, and i REFUSE to think otherwise!!....on another note, it's is a breath of fresh air, not to have "Stefan" his memory is wiped, maybe he'll be a fun version of himself. Haha

    Sooo you're saying Tatia was never an Original "Elena" That is was Amora the whole time?? Or was Tatia a version of Amora? Whom was a hand maid to Qetsiyah, WHO BTW isn't even a doppelganger, she's an original witch,(which we knew) then we have Nydia who's a gypsy, who wants to free some dude named Gregor (barf) who's stuck inside Matt's body. Qetsiyah planted those dreams inside Katherine and Elena to find Stefan and Silas. Apparently Stefan isn't the first shadowself, and Elena isn't the first, doppelganger??? And now Stefan has amnesia???? WTFFFFF?!?!!? Things are about to get VERY interesting. And now that i think about it, they did a twist, that i didn't even think they would do. Instead of Elena having amnesia, like she was suppose to, they made Stefan have amnesia instead. Huh, well i'll be damned.

    This episode was so good. For me it make a lot more sense about the doppelganger thing. don't like the true love Elena/Stefan thing but i'm glade that they explain it more. Next week episode kinda look like maybe Elena re-acting moments in his life so he can remember again.

    If I recall, the Originals date back a 1000 years whereas Silas 2000 years and being in a tumb ever since. What I find strange is, didn't they use Tatia (who I thought was the first doppleganger) to create the originals? Weird coincidence that Klaus' mother picked her..

    For me the best part of this show is the brothers. Thankfully, they didn't do anything to mess with that. I love that Damon chose to save his brother rather than simply leave him there with Tessa (yeah, I'll never spell that right, so I'll go with her preferred update. :-)
    My problem with the whole Damon/Elena or Stefan;/Elena is that I'm someone who 'buys into' what a show tells us from the beginning. In this case we the viewers were asked to 'buy into' Stefan and Elena's love. So I did. If I had been asked to buy into Damon and Elena in the beginning I also would have. I think Damon is a fantastic character and Ian portrays him wonderfully. He could so easily go overboard with a character like this but he doesn't. He keeps it nuanced when appropriate and lets it all go when needed (such as what appears to be an amazing car flip next week courtesy of Damon!)
    It cheapens the whole love story when for several years it's Stefan and Elena against all odds and then, all of a sudden it's now Elena saying how she and Damon deserve their happiness after all they went through to find and be with each other. Really? Because for the first several years it was all you and Stefan could do to find and be with each other. Now, the only real fight Elena and Damon had was the whole sire bond (with was a complete rewrite of canon anyway. The so-called sire bond had no effect whatsoever on Stefan and he was sired by Katherine. It also had no effect on Caroline who was sired by Damon. So, sire bond? Really?
    Now Elena is with Damon but...oh, not content to let that be the love story, the writers have to make Stefan have amnesia and now he and Elena will likely relive their greatest moments. It's sweet and gentle and all that but it unnecessarily complicates things. While I would have preferred no love triangle in the first place (because they are trite and cliché), once they decided to have it be over: Elena chose Damon and Stefan agreed to move on, they should leave it alone. Frankly Stefan is so much more comfortable and at ease with Lexi. Rather find a way for that character to come back and be his love. Let the dopplegangers become best friends and leave the love alone.
    My fear is that we'll have the triangle back full force and by season's end Elena will profess her undying love for Stefan. Yeah, that's believable. "Stefan, it's always going to be you." Until it's: "Damon, I love you and I'm not sorry I met you or fell in love with you. It's always going to be us." And then, oops, decided we want to keep pleasing everyone (when in fact you're pleasing almost no one) so back to where we began with "Stefan, it's always you." Sheesh. Pair her up with Matt and let Stefan and Damon be brothers with loves of their own. So much more fun.
    I'm sorry for both Stelena and Delena fans!

    Agree with everything you just said. The excuse for the sire bond was that the newbie vamp has to be in love with or grateful to the sire. Caroline wasn't in love with or grateful to Damon. Both Stefan and Damon professed their love for Katherine, but your right, neither had a sire bond with her. Personally, I think Damon acted like he had a sire bond with her, but that could have been just his obsessive personality.

    This episode was definitely an improvement on the past two.
    There had been murmurs among the fans that Tessa was in fact Qetsiyah, and I think the way in which they set her up to look like Silas' girlfriend at first in the episode was a nice move.
    Overall, it was a great episode with just enough "history lesson" and present action. I'm skeptical about Stefan and Elena being "fated" though. I really hope that Damon and Elena overcome the odds to end up together.

    Loved this Episode!! Don't get me wrong.. i totally love the Originals.. but its soooo refreshing to see a storyline in TVD without them!! Now that Stefan lost his Memory i hope that we are going to get some Steferine!!! Stelena Fans keep saying that they are Destiny but hey.. don't you forget about Katherine!! She could be Stefans Destiny too!! And to be honst.. i don't give a crap about Destiny! Elena and Damon love eachother!! That's why they belong together! Period!!

    In the books, something to do with her death. I can't remember specifically but when she came back, i think it was the second time she came back, her memory was swiped, everyone had to treat her like a child, and she sure acted like one, (a child with powers) and i forgot the reason, but the only one she knew was Damon, and she was instantly in love with him. Took a long time to get her memory back.

    I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that the show doesn't owe you anything. Just because you expect it to be all about Stefan and Elena, doesn't mean it will be. This show will/has taken its own path from the books and will ultimately do what works best for the show. I'm sorry it upsets you that Delena has taken on a life of it's own, but the fact is when Stelena and Delena are going head to head in the polls, Delena wins by quite a large margin. (I'm sorry if you can't handle that.) So in the end, I imagine the EP will take that into consideration when drawing the show to it's conclusion. If you can't get the message and still expect it to always be about Stefan/Stelena you're deluded and wrong.

    FYI - Last I checked I'm entitled to my opinion and am free to comment about it without being berated for it.

    I'm confused. If Silas was buried w/ the cure, so he would be tricked into taking it so he could die a human and be w/ his one true love.....but what "tessa" said he would really end up on the other side w/ her...how? If he took the cure, he wouldn't go to the other side....?? And, if he took the cure...he wouldnt have to get rid of the other side which was his original goal, wasn't it? Can someone please explain silas' curse to me......

    TVD Writers: You know where you guys made a impact in season 2 where you had Catherine and JT rescue Vincent but in the end revealed he lost his memory?

    BABW: Uh huh to this today fans are still buzzing bout that.

    TVDW: Can we borrow that same idea and use it on our show.

    BAW: Sure!! go right ahead we're family on the same network.

    Qetsiyah was obivously a made up name bc she said Silas true love was Amoria one of the servants who was preparing the wedding for Katisa and Silas not Qetsiyah.

    If i recall Katisa never mentioned Qetsiyah in her version of the story she told Stefan. Amora and Silas were suppose to be together forever after Katisa figured it her out she killed her so before Katisa imprisoned him with the cure she wanted him to become human and be with Katisa forever so they can die together as humans. But Silas decided he didn't want to, so since he refused Katisa told him to take the cure so he can be with Amora is what i heard when she told Damon and Stefen. Every time Silas didn't take the cure a shadow verison of him and Amora were created throughout the centuries

    If the show decides to go down that road, it would be extremely anticlimactic and it would diminish the events of last season. Most of Season 4 was about hunting down the cure and several characters asking themselves what they would do with the cure & to go from a single dose to an infinite supply.. I'm just not buying it. Also, if Katherine's blood is the cure and one sip is enough for it to work, a vampire who drinks her blood would turn human with their becoming the cure as well. Like I said, not buying it.

    First: REALLY? AMNESIA? REALLY? How many fricking cliches can they fall into?
    Second: I hate the way they keep cheating on Delena. This is a supernatural show so fate does mean something and obviously Stefan and Elena are gonna end up together, which I hate because they bore me together.
    Third: I thought they were fricking over with "the cure" arch. It's boring already, can't they think of something a bit more original?
    Damon was sweet and some scenes were good but I spent most of the episode mad at the writers, hope the story picks up or I'm out.
