  1. Most people make comments the next day after a show airs. A lot of people DVR it and save it for later.

  2. gave it a good, improved over the pilot, but for me still has a bit to go but it feels like it's heading in a good direction. the only part that seemed a bit of a contradiction was if a TP is genetically incapable of killing/making the effort to kill, then why didn't the breakout target kid pass out as he was trying to telekinetically push the main character off the roof of a building presumably to his death?

  3. Better than the pilot. I'll give it that. But then again if the pilot wasn't at least remotely good, i wouldn't be sticking with the show. This second episode had a little more depth. Mostly i think b/c i love Mark Pellegrino so much, and the fact that he's a DICK! With mostly ever character he's ever played, is really keeping me interested. Seriously he got me so mad tonight. I couldn't help but laugh...He's the guy i love to hate. And i'm anxious to see what other tricks he has up his sleeves. On another subject, do i care for the triangle between Stephen, John, and Cara....NOPE! SURE DON'T!! I know it's gonna happen eventually, but i see no chemistry between Cara and Stephen, i really don't. TBH, she seems too old for him. Idk it's just her face, she has too much wisdom. lol I don't want them to have any romantic scenes at all. However i do like Stephen with Astrid. I really like her character, and god please!! If they're gonna go the whole "Chlark" route, please let it be the route that will actually happen. I hate to see another female best friend, get mixed signals repeatedly having her heart broken, b/c the male lead is in love with "the one" or so they think. (Roles eyes). I want to see more back ground on all the characters. And i would like it if Stephen told Luca sometime this season (if we get a full one) b/c personally i think he would find Stephen very cool, and they could possibly have some fun with his abilities.

  4. Hell i always comment after i watch w/e episode....I was hoping there would be more than this, but you're right. Guess we'll see how many more we'll have tomorrow.

  5. Don't get concerned yet. It's too early. = )

  6. I think i'm gonna really like this show. Dose anyone else think that John is a relative to Stephen and Dr Jedikiah Price? Also i see maybe a love triangle thing going on with Stephen/Cara/John. but kinda favoriting Cara/John and Stephen/Astrid.

  7. I didn't think there was a relation between John and Stephen, but now that you mention it, i wouldn't totally knock the idea.

  8. Awesome! But does anyone else think Stephen's father is still alive? I don't buy that car bomb incident. He probably teleported out before it exploded. They always said he's the strongest of the TP.

  9. Of course he's alive! He'll probably be introduced in the season finale, or just one episode before.

  10. Anyone think Jedikiah put a tracker in the watch? I don't he would give it back just out the goodness of his heart..

  11. I hope sooner if that's the case. It's too cliche if the season ends with Stephen saying "Dad?" lol

  12. I never really thought of that! Highly possible.

  13. I liked it. I just hope this doesnt go the way of other sf shows. But Then again- this is the cw.

  14. I agree! But that would not surprise me ^^

  15. The problem with this show is that the basic concept has been done so many times before. I.e., mutations cause a group of humans to develop super powers, whereupon they have to hide from the rest of humanity, which is trying to wipe them out. Does that sound like the X-Men to anyone else, besides me? Or like season 10 of Smallville? Or like the Movie "Jumper"? Or even like The Initiative in season 4 of Buffy (ok, they supposedly just hunt demons, but still)? ... and so on and so on.

  16. I think he did start to hear the noise but was able to get away before he passed out from
it. it was really subtle imo.

  17. I don't mind that they're using super powers plot (in fact, I love super power plots), what bothers me are the daddy issues, emo teen stereotypes, love triangles, double crossings, main characters as always the troubled/unpopular kids in school etc. Even the teens must be fed up with it nowadays.

  18. The episode was awesome. But the series started a little bit strange and i don't know what to expect. It is a great series but that's it.

  19. This show is nothing we haven't seen hundreds of times already, but I'm enjoying it so far. It benefits from nice special effects and a strong cast. Robbie Amell acquits himself pretty well with emotional scenes, Peyton List brings a lot of intelligence, spark and compassion to her character, Luke Mitchell is very sexy and charismatic but also believably tough as the leader, and Mark Pellegrino (as always) is just fantastic. That smile he gave Stephen before sending him to the debrief... love it. He manages to be endearing, yet scary by downplaying his role (when he coolly warned Stephen not to barge into his office again - chills).

I do dread the inevitable love triangle, even more so because of instead of making the conflict between John and Cara organic, it feels like it's just supposed to be the early stirrings of the love wars. Cara is defending Stephen because deep down, she kinda likes him that way, and John thinks otherwise because he's jealous. UGH. Besides, I think John and Cara are a good and believable couple with lots of chemistry. Hate to be shallow but damn, that workout scene was hot.

  20. What if Stephen's dad had choice but to come work with his brother in order to protect his family?? We seen it on Castle lol

Stephen uncle said he takes orders from above which got me thinking what if Stephen's dad is the orders from above guy. Maybe his dad realized that his kind aren't what he thought they were and figured that they may turn and cause destruction to the world so he decided to team up with his brother and round up all the Superior Humans and take them out before they end the world..

Then i realized having Stephen fight his father and uncle would be too predictable and kinda done that before scene on tv..so my guess is he joined his brother not by choice but was forced in order to protect his family.

  21. That's a good theory, but I imagine something more like: Stephen's Dad has been held prisoner in some creepy underground government lab all this time to be experimented on since he's supposed to be the most advanced "homo superior".

  22. Yeah I can see that. Just for the Pilot by the time I got on there was a bunch.

  23. I am enjoying this. Yes, the concept has been done a hundred times, but that doesn't prevent me from enjoying it and I think if the show works and finds its footing they will venture a bit more in non explored territory moving forward. On to the episode itself, I liked seeing all of Steven's conflict and I thought the family scenes blended in quite nicely. I would however take out the Ashley character and the whole high school angle, I don't see what it adds. But that's my only complaint. Also, Robbie Amell is doing a great job so far, he has surprised me. Oh, and Mark Pellegrino is awesome as always!

  24. I agree with your first sentence. It has been done a lot but I still enjoy it, it doesn't bother me. Besides, let's be real, it hasn't been done more than all the cop shows, lawyer shows, all the medical shows, all the vampire shows out there and with that I covered about 75% of the shows on TV, so with that reasoning there wouldn't be much left to watch!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Good theory, I didn't think of that!

  26. Enjoyed this episode, better than the pilot.

    *cricket chirps*

Er, by lack of comments I'm now concerned for this show.

Edit: Not so much anymore. Curious to see the ratings.

  27. Agreed, it was better than the pilot. And this makes two comments! That's double what the show had before!
