I am of officially loving this show! It's definitely filling my merlin void, with a lot prettier dresses (I don't care how historically accurate anything is) plus a good layer of mystery, supernatural elements and just chock full of dramaaa. Plus she has a country to worry about! So gooood!!!! Also the music is so on trend. Loving it!!
It was a really good episode, it was better than the pilot, things are starting to reveal even if they are little things, one thing i hate was why the woman that helped Collin told him to get out instead of keeping him hide with her¿? she knew the Queen will have him no matter what, i couldnt stop comparing that Queen to Cersei i mean dont kill me here, i know they are totally diferent but both have one thing in common and is both are strong women that are willing to do anything to save her son!
I was prepared to not like it at all, especially as I am very interested in the history of the period and this is so widely off the mark it makes The Tudors timeline look good, lol. But I have to admit it's actually become a bit of a guilty pleasure, and I too thought during this episode that it's filling the Merlin shaped hole in my schedule that Atlantis is having great difficulty filling.
The mysterious Clarissa and the druids in the forest plots are playing out nicely without being too rushed imo. and I'm really enjoying the modern soundtrack too. The accents are biggest bugbear thou, some of them can't seem to stick to just one even in a single sentence. If you are going ignore historical presidence when it comes to the real language and accents they would have used then why not just let the actor use their own anyway.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
