    Huge improvement over last week!


    A nice hint of what the seasonal arc could be with the clandestine anti-tech/ pro-privacy organization. Nice to have a new mystery on the show!


    I did not miss Root or Elias at all and the episode was better served by their absence. Much better pacing than last week.


    We got some of our usual Team Machine banter back, and Shaw even managed to basically fit into the usual cadence of the show. The "Shaw=killing machine" jokes will get old if they go on too long, but for now as she integrates into the team it is fun for the most part.


    Big relief that the PoI I love is back in form with a "Great" episode!

    It's better than the premiere. Good setup for seasonal storyline. Good spin on case of the week.

    I hav to agree. This episode was better than the season premiere (though i didn't have any problems with the premiere.) It's gonna be a sad thing when Carter discovers that her partner works for Beecher's godfather. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see Bear in action.

    Last episode fit in with the whole "chapter 2" feel to it that the producers seemed to intend. It showed us how the world had changed and reminded us that most things are the same. This episode was fabulous in setting the tone for the season. They've been skirting the issue of privacy versus protection for a while now, it'll be interesting to see how far they take it.

    Better than last week, still not Season 1 form.


    I liked Carter and her rookie. He's either an HR plant or a Red Shirt who will be tragically gone by mid-season, sadly. OTOH, if they were going to have her pining over Beecher, they needed to draw their romance a lot better when he was alive.



    The new cyber vigilante group is important and interesting, but it seemed like they were just kind of thrown in at the end. Less of Shaw eating and pouting would have given them time for a better explanation.


    And Shaw and food -- serious, WTF? I understand they want to portray her as rough-edged and course, but surely part of her spy training would have been "How to Eat in Public Without Attracting Attention 101." As with Finch's references to her violent tendencies, which we haven't see (why didn't she kill Root, again?) it feels like lazy writing. Still, she was less annoying to me in this episode.


    And the black SUV thing is getting old now. Can't someone crash a silver car once in a while?

    I liked that they toned Shaw down in this episode, but I still think she's going to be a problem, because I think Finch's reaction and even dislike of our POI (which Bear seemed to share), I think highly reflects a parallel with his feelings about Shaw and I trust Finch's feelings. He seems way more concerned than normal...


    Little shout out to Alias again! The floor in which the POI get's into the elevator from is "47". And kind of the hiring others to do your dirty work (kind of like how SD-6 hired Eloise Kurtz to be "Kate Jones") is similar to Alias too.




    I can't decide if I still distrust Carter's rookie partner. On one hand he did say he "chose" Carter and considering she made contact with Beecher's God Father, I could see a connection there. On the other hand he was fairly likable in this episode and it was more like Carter was the one with something to hide (that scene where she pulled over the paralegal women was hysterical!)--so the problem may be he plays too much by the book.



    So do we think this is a new enemy or is this related to Decima????


    Really like seeing Carter having a better story line, but I'm am hoping for more Fusco time down the line! Kind of interesting that Root and Elias did not make an appearance....oh the suspense!


    Don't change Carter's radio and don't call her "Ma'am" (and was this a hint that we will come to know "Ma'am" soon????)


    PS: YAY for 'Girls Night Out' Next week, including ZOE!!!!!!!!!!!XD (and was that Logan Pierce in the promo? I have been hoping we would see him again! <3 )

    I was skeptical about Carter's new partner as well. But I think him being a HR plant would be too obvious. What I think is gonna happen they develop a mentor/student relationship, he dies when someone from HR is out for Carter and his death might trigger Carter to go rouge and act outside of law.

    Better than last week episode, but I still miss more action with Reese into it. The episode was writing so good, the new enemy sounds promising and is not just a enemy for the team machine, but for the machine itself, can't wait to see "The Private Corporation" next move, sounds like a good threat like Decima Tecnologies.

    I'm really happy about the attention the show have to Carter now, the arc with H.R. start to development more and I'm not sure the rookie is a infiltrated, but for now he looks like a good person (maybe he could be the next target of H.R. to affect Carter).

    The case of week was really good and all the parallel between the victim/perpetrator with machine function was good catch of the script.

    I don't see how a person watching can't be, since they go out of the way two episodes in row to point it out! There seriously making a lot of points about her disposition in relation to the kind of work Finch has set out to do.

    I was under the impression during the episode that The Machine was behind the whole pro-privacy organisation (or atleast against that company), seeing as how the machine is developing mentally and that company is somewhat of a threat to it. But then again, the machine wouldn't have send our heroes that number if that was the case. I just got the feeling that this isn't your average big bad.

    Mostly it is the timing -- HR expressing the need to take care of Carter (implying via dialog that murder is the plan) combined with Carter getting a partner and then that pretty speech he gave. That equation usually means that the benign innocent is actually working for the bad guys.


    Although, given that I think POI is (IMHO) one of the best written shows on television I wouldn't be shocked if I'm wrong.

    aw, new group! new group! how many r there now? the HR, that group who wanted to take that laptop and set Reese and his partner up and then tried to take over the Machine, Elias' group, Root is a whole team on her own, well, there's always the 'group' or agency that handles the numbers the Machine sends to the goverment... who else? and now a new group to defend privacy online... i love it! :D

    Good episode. I like shaw, but I don't really like her being in the main team. Her character is being diluted to the point where she is basically just a female Reese. We already have one Reese. And the dynamic between Finch and Reese has really taken a blow. Three's a crowd, in this case.

    Loved it. Liked it way better than the premiere. The case was one of my favorites the show has done yet and every scene was enjoyable and kept me glued to the screen. I also liked that it would be continued because this privacy thing is a thematic that is right on the wheelhouse of the show so I like it to be further explored. Also enjoyed Carter with a new disciple, great potential there. I hope he is for real and not a mole or something, I don't think he will be though. I am not sold on Shaw yet. I like her but I think she is not needed on the team, Resse could do everything she did just fine,it becomes a bit redundant to have both, I don't know

    yeah, I think he is there to make us 'think' he is an HR plant. The fact that he creepily happened to stand behind Carter when she was on the phone to Fucso was supposed to make us think "hold on, this guy's a plant", but I'm not having it. He'll turn out to die a hero.
