    There is NO question anymore: this is the best new show this year. All the other ones I'm following got a bit worse after their pilot but Originals ? Increased in terms of quality with every single episode. The acting is getting better as most new actors grow into their part and the war between witches and vampires ? I was amazed that such a deep rooted storyline even found its way to theCW. This is amazingly written.
    Give these people a medal, tons of money and have them make more of that.


    And that Hayley/Elijah thing in the end...I'm not sure...did I like that or didn't I ? On the one hand they're really cute together but on ther other....KALIJAHH D:

    Woah, that was an A+ episode.

    Davina's backstory about the Harvest was just plain terrifying and emotional. I got chills when they were slaughtering the witches one by one. I've always thought Davina was an interesting character since the beginning of the show and this just proved why. I am officially against the witches on this show (except Davina). The war between the witches and vampires is getting intense as hell.

    Absolutely loved the Elijah/Rebekah and Elijah/Hayley reunion.

    Can't wait for next week!

    I'm glad Elijah is back, now I just have one question, was it just me, or were there some serious sparks between Elijah and Hayley?? Seriously (besides his devilish looks in a suit, and the fact that he sees her as "family") The way their eyes exchanged. There was some serious eye-sex going on there. I couldn't have been the only one to see that.

    Wow! I was…AMAZING!!! The backstory of Davina (I'm starting to like her) and the witches (Never trusted them anyway).


    The Elijah/Rebekah reunion scene was really great! As for Elijah/Hayley - I'm not really liking that too much. It might grow on me but I don't think so.

    The pace going on this show is good, and I hope they keep it up. My guess is Sophie and Davina might the only witches left alive by seasons end after this. But I am sure the writers want us to not care when Klaus kills them all.

    Interesting I initially though Davina was born a kick ass with but this was an interesting backstory for her. Sucks that she's too paranoid, though for good reason, to realize the harvest is real and she'd get her friend back but those witches aren't the saints i thought they were. Loving all the Rebeckah glad the three originals are together again

    Exactly! As soon as he looked at her after hugging Rebekah, and she looked back to leave the room, His eyes just stayed on her, and then when he went to follow her outside, he had this smirk and she had this smirk, and it was awkward silence. And NEITHER of them Blinked!! I said WHOA! It really hit me, i thought that was hot. And then BOOM she slapped him. I was like oh shit. Didn't see that coming! And he TOOK it! Elijah doesn't take that, But then again he is a gentleman. (he's too sexy for his own good)

    Yeah, this is my most anticipated show each week. I'm always counting down days to the next episode. I never thought I would be so into it, but I am.


    Some of my other favorite shows have been slipping at the same time and losing some of my interest. Makes me sad. :(

    OMMGG!! Haylijah lives!!!!! so much happened!!!!! marcel and rebekah, clearly was having a hot affair behind klaus back! we see marcel and davina arent really that bad. slut ass sophie is the real enemy., the witches r bitches. marcel and kalus' bromance. klaus calling him marcellous. cami's brother really did have demons, from the witches. i hope the mikaelsons become allies with marcel to take down sophie. the fight between klaus and marcel at the end was awesome. marcel is still just kalus' bitch. im lovin T.O. best show right now. better than TVD right now also! Klami, Haylijah and Rebel aka Marbekah are my ships!

    Too many traces of ships going on in this episode. I won't mind it too much if all the romance stays in the background (like way back). No need to interrupt the family goodness and alliances that are sure to happen soon. Overall, great episode. Keep them coming.

    I'm kind of cautious about the ships too. The love triangles on TVD is spoiling that show for me.


    I'm cautiously optimistic that The Originals could handle romance & still put the main plot & family first, but I'm in no rush for any people to start a relationship. I'm happy with the family & friendship stuff.

    Loved this episode with every fibre of my being. Loved that we finally got the real story about Devina and her history with the witches, Sophie and Marcel. I am looking forward to how the Originals will handle this now that Marcel doesn't appear to be terribly in the wrong as I once thought and how this will affect Klaus's power plans.


    Elijah and Hayley…words cannot describe that last scene <3

    I don't even think Klaus would care TBH. I mean now everyone's talking "I don't want it to be like TVD", blah blah blah. But honestly, it sure wouldn't be! Klaus doesn't give two shits about Hayley, If he wasn't talked into caring for his kid, he'd have absolutely nothing to do with Hayley. And she hates Klaus just as much. Even with their romp in the sack, that dumb one nighter (which is seriously all it was) There was no heat between them in that scene. She had an itch, he scratched it, that was all. I didn't find it sexy, (it really wasn't) i was just saying oh god here we go (and not in a good way). Klaus needs to be with Camille, (they're much suited for each other) and Hayley clearly has an attraction to Elijah. I think that's the way it should be.

    I don't feel as strongly about Klaus not caring about Hayley, but I agree that I don't see them ever being a couple. I also agree I like Elijah/Hayley and Klaus/Camille. I'm in no rush for coupling though.

    I agree, I don't see Klaus and Hayley being couple, but I would disagree about him not caring for Hayley, I think he cares about her to a degree, but not romantically, they're still somewhat of strangers to one another. What I meant was Klaus's expression in that scene, was like "I can see there is something between Elijah and Hayley" kind of thing. That all said, I feel like Klaus would be a tad bit jealous of Elijah, not because he likes Hayley, but because that's his baby momma and Klaus does't like to share (I still love Klaus though). As for the bit about Klaus and Cami, I still am not feeling them together. I wouldn't mind seeing Klaus without a love interest for a while.


    Whilst on the subject of coupledoms I was pleasantly surprised with Sophie and Marcel's past relationship.

    I started this show because I love TVD and wanted to see what would happen with the Originals once they left Mystic Falls. I didn't really expect much of it but now I can't stop watching. SO GOOD. And also, Elijah and Hayley? Didn't think I'd like it but I kinda love it...

    Neither am I. I'm not in a rush for either of them to couple up, I enjoy the tension. For all four of them! When Klaus was talking to Camille at the bar, and they just stared at each other, and Klaus had to turn his head to snap out of it, and she said "Wow i read that wrong." And he said "No you read that quite well." I said ohh yeah. Lol There was no denying that moment. I like when he's upfront about his feelings. When the time comes for Klamille, and Haylijah i will be happy though, and i won't hide it. lol I'll be typing in caps. lol But i don't want them to rush it.

    First I have to say yes I am glad that Elijah is back and second no I do not think it a good idea to put him and Haley together and have feelings for each other. I think they should let Klaus and Haley story develop. I mean its just a little weird, having a baby by one brother and falling in love with the other. That is just ho like behavior. Now on the the rest of the episode, I thought it was good I never trusted the witches especially Sophie when she linked herself to Haley. Now Klaus will have no choice but to tell Marcel what is going on in order to protect Davina from Sophie. Now the question is, will Marcel actually help Klaus? We shall see.

    Ugh!!! That's the thing that i HATE about Klaus....he's sooo...possessive. Originally he had 6 siblings, (him being the 7th) and he's still "mine mine" He really needs to get over it. Hahaha I laughed when Rebekah said "Baby mama" that was funny. Klaus and Hayley aren't THAT much of strangers, i mean you saw them in TVD all they did was argue like cats and dogs. Actually that's the ONLY thing i liked about Hayley as soon as she came on the scene she wasn't afraid to stand up to Klaus. I'm hoping that won't change too much. I think Klaus sees it as well, the chemistry between Hayley and Elijah, I noticed it when he asked her, why girls flock to his brother, (something like that, idr the exact quote) And she replied "he was nice to her" I still don't feel Klaus views her as a person, with the exception of when he rushed to grab her before she fainted. You don't see the feelings between Camille and Klaus? Hmm that's interesting, b/c he changes with her entirely he doesn't even care that she's human, which is a big surprise to me. I don't even think he would turn her, if it ever came to that. In this show, i feel like Camille is Matt. It's important for her to know all the supernatural things that happen while still being human. I think that's why Klaus fancies her, b/c she's strong. But yes I agree, i NEVER wanted Klaus to have a love interest, b/c i felt he was much more badass w/o one. When he first came on TVD TBH i thought he was Asexual. Just did what he did out of evil and didn't care for sexual relationships. But obviously that's changed. However, i wouldn't mind it now, but just not in the first season.....Sophie ugh!! That is all. lol As for Marbekah, still not on that train yet. I don't see it. Feels forced. And if they're gonna keep being in each other's personal space in every scene, they really just need to jump each other and get it over with. lol

    I agree with you about Marcel and Rebekah. I understand they have history, but I feel like they have moved on long ago. It doesn't seem like an epic love or anything maybe just unresolved.


    I don't know. The backdoor pilot of TO with their scene observing the street painter, I thought something maybe between Camille and Klaus, but since then, I don't know. Its like they're forcing Klaus to find another love interest. To me, after S4 finale of TVD, it doesn't make too much sense emotionally.


    Yes exactly. When Klaus was talking to Hayley whilst she was reading Elijah's diaries and when Rebekah mentioned speaking to Elijah last episode, I noticed Klaus pick up on Hayley's interest (maybe that was just me though). Tonight's episode kind of confirmed it for me.


    When I said that Hayley and Klaus are like strangers, what I mean is that they don't know each other's past and who they are really underneath that badass exterior. Like when they were in TVD they were at each other's throats with distain for the other. Episode 2 was the first real conversation between them.

    Agreed! Marbekah, it's old news, and i mean OLD. lol Personally i think Marcel has more feelings for her than she does for him. I think he really never got over her, but i think she didn't give him a second thought when it was all over. I didn't see it with Klamille in that scene. I just felt he was curious about her brain. But i didn't see anything "electric" but i did feel they level each other out. IDT they're forcing him too quickly. I mean he did say under different circumstances they could be friends. I'm NOT a klaroline shipper, never have been never will be, BUT idt Klaus has forgotten about her, but he does know that it's gonna take her a LONG time before she comes around and wants to travel the world with him. Caroline is still on the Tyler boat (not for long i hope, that ship has sailed, it's down there with the titantic, lol), so I don't see why Klaus shouldn't be attracted to someone else. I mean really how many times can u get shut down by the same person. He got the hint. He's patient when it comes to her. "For however long it takes" remember? But that doesn't mean he's gonna wait til he's "a billion" and stay alone. LOL (oh Caroline).


    Ohhh ok i see what you mean now. Well seeing as Hayley is preggers, i'm assuming that'll change. I do wonder though, if she's having this supernatural child, will it be a faster birth or a regular 9 month birth? I mean technically she is a "dog" and dogs have regular births just like humans. Hmmm (my brain is racing, lol)

    The show exceeded my expectations by such a wide margin. I didn't expect much from it and thought it'd be something I'd casually watch but it is a thrilling and exciting show and I still can't believe how good it is. I really, really love that family is such a central and prominent aspect of it. The Harvest was a very solid and surprising way to explain Davina's powers, provided some insight into how ancestral magic works and was a complete game changer. I'm also very intrigued by Kieran and I'm curious what exactly him calling the shots with humans entails. I still can't believe how much I'm into this show.

    Disagree, I never saw any kind of potential romance between Klaus and Hayley. They hooked up once and ended up conceiving a child that technically was impossible to conceive. I don't see anything wrong with Hayley possibly falling for Elijah.

    Sophie and Marcel - didn´t see that coming.

    Elijah is back - It just makes a more interesting story when all 3 siblings are on the loose.

    Klaus - I still adore him!
    No Cami - Oh, well, though I like her, I didn´t have a second to miss her.
    Davina - Awesome backstory!! I would never have guessed. So I´m guessing she will die at some point (but who is gonna kill her?) and hopefully resurrect.
    Hayley - still getting better.
    Rebekah - finally found a friend.

    This episode was just perfect! I'm SOOOOO glad Elijah's back, finally :) The show keeps getting better and better every week. I didn't expected it to be so good, but every week I'm just amazed by the storyline. Davina's back story was really well done. And I don't know why but I liked the tension between Hayley and Elijah at the end when he comes back. I think they're cute together but I wouldn't want a love triangle between Hayley and the two brothers.

    Anyway, I can't wait for the next episode next week, the promo looks awesome!

    A wolf's gestation period is 60-68 days vs around 266 days for a human. If you average them together and split the difference that's about 137 days or 4.5 months. But because it's magical it just might need the full time to gestate.

    BRB, I just died a little. But going by that logic, it won't be November, so we have February, which would fuel my 4.5 month timeline and then of course the season finale in May (and have that magical baby kidnapped of course because what magical baby hasn't been kidnapped at least once?).

    Tyler got the werewolf gene from his father and I don't think his mother knew about any of it, so just on that, I'm guessing it's the normal 9 months. Yes werewolves are human/wolf but I don't think it's that literal.

    The witch trying to kill the baby gave Hayley a fever to attempt to do this again through a spell or something. That's why Elijah carried her into the pool in the promo. She's not having a premature baby, but she's at risk of a miscarriage.

    This show is SO SO good! It feels like TVD vintage, back when KW was on board. I feel that this episode was much needed because so far I was loving the show but mostly for Hailey, Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah, which were the characters we already knew. This episode gave us more insight on Davina and Sophie, which was needed. Davina's story was very sad. I didn't see the twist of Sophie's end goal being to kill Davina's coming, at all. I am also very interested in Hayley's story and I want to see more about the mysterious wolf. Loved the family scene with Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah and Haley reunion. I didn't realize they were going so obviously with Hayley and Elijah but I guess I am all for it. This show is probably my biggest surprise of the fall, I almost skipped it, so glad I didn't!

    I don't think they are going down that route. Klaus has shown no interest in Hayley at all apart from the fact that she carries her child. I think the love triangle we will get is with Cami and Klaus and Marcel, but they are being smart enough to not make that the main plot of the show, which was, in my opinion, the problem with TVD. The triangle would be fine there if it was not dictating the course of the whole show.

    I agree with you entirely. I almost skipped the show entirely, because even though I still watch and enjoy the vampire diaries, it is no what it once was for me, so I was not so much into giving this one a shot. In addition, I wasn't the biggest Klaus fan back when he was in TVD (although I really like him here), so I almost skipped the show entirely! They lured me in when they brought Rebekah on board because I always loved her, but I never thought I would like it so much, I am totally hooked!

    I think they are being very smart to put the triangles and romances in the back burner. They are needed on the show (I enjoy them as long as they are not excessive and, if nothing else, they bring in the rating that allow us all to enjoy the other aspects of the show). But the good news is that this show appears to be willing to put them on the back burner instead of being the main focus of the show and have it dictate the plot, which was, in my opinion, the mistake that the TVD did.

    I agree, It´s most likely gonna be a love triangle between Cami, Klaus and Marcel and I like that it is gonna be a slow moving process. Elijah and Hayley seems to have an interest in eachother aswell, but that also does not seem rushed. I have no problem with love triangles as long as they are done well.
    TVD has been ruined because of all the different love storys.

    I didn't expect to like the show I even started watching all the episodes last night because everybody here was talking about how great the show is but WOW I LOVED IT SO MUCH it reminded me of TVD when it used to be good. Can't wait for the next episode.
