I had a feeling the Red Queen was Anastasia, but I still got that chill of shock when she came out of the cabin to see Will/Knave. Just . . . wow. I can't wait for 2 weeks!!
Really liked the last scene! Not as big a fan of the episode as a whole, though, esp. when compared to last week. Was there always a planned week off next Thursday? Or is this a new thing?
Nice twist with the Red Queen being Anastasia! That definitely came out of nowhere. Now I really can't wait for Will/Knave and the Red Queen to see each other after all these years. That's gonna be fun XD
I was expecting Red Queen = Anastasia but I still enjoyed how innocent & in love she seems in the past versus the way she is now. I'm curious to find out more of that backstory :)
This was a really good episode! The scene with the Grendel was really well done and that plot twist at the end with the Red Queen actually being Anastasia was brilliant! :D
Only because of the press release for the next episode did I figure out that this woman, Anastatia, would be The Red Queen! If it wouldn't have been for that, I would have NEVER seen it coming!!
Such a fun episode whispering woods and the Bandersnatch being a similar to a Giant Boar and nice shout out to Beowolf! Gosh I hope we picked up some viewers I love that the 'forget me not' was a rope in "knots"! And the Caterpillar is like a freaking drug lord! XD
just an ok ep for me tonight... I was kinda bored at times, and found Grendel something of a letdown (really liked the tale of Beowulf, so I guess my expectations were too high), as soon as they hinted that Anastasia was a blonde, it was too predictable that it was the RQ, but an interesting twist nonetheless. Still not sure if it's the writing, the characters, or the somewhat meh sfx, but I'm still waiting for the show to click with me like OUaT does, but it hasn't yet but I'll keep sampling a bit more before I make up my mind.
I liked this one so much better than the previous ones. The show has been improving with each episode, too bad that it started out so badly. I still wish they would take out those childish elements. The rabbit narrated introduction for instance is off putting, I feel like I am watching a child show. Also, that terrible wonderland set that they have is too bad and I am not that picky on production values, but it's just too much to be ignored! Other than this, I really liked the episode. It felt like OUAT Season 1 because of the backstory we got on the Will. I miss the way OUAT used to let us have backstories of different characters and when it was not all about the charmings, regina (I love her though) and rumple, it gets boring after a while. Also loved that they had robin hood and malefficient on this. And I really liked the twist with the red queen being anastasia, I didn't see it coming at all. Too bad the show is done for, I could see myself really growing to like this.
If you read the comments of previous polls like this will see that i said that Anastasia will be the Red Queen. From that scene where she is saying that they had with Jaffar about the rules and more importantly impossibilities of magic. http://www.spoilertv.com/2013/10/poll-what-did-you-think-of-once-upon_18.html#comment-1087192511
I'm ok with the production, except for outside the Red Queens Palace and the main roads in Wonderland. I like the forest scenes and interior scenes and even thought the Bandersnatch looked alright.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Whoa, I did not see the "Red Queen is Anastasia" thing coming at all. A+.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they found out about White Rabbit betraying them and aww at that poor guy.
Rude at having to wait two weeks.
That ending elicited a verbal "holy crap" from me. Not enough Maleficent in the flashback though.

ReplyDeleteNext week is Halloween . . . BOO! ;-) :-D
ReplyDeleteABC airs "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" every year on Halloween.

ReplyDeleteThis show gets better every week. Great overall episode including the flashback with Robin hood. now a 2 week wait :(

ReplyDeleteI loved the shout out to the Sarlaac of Star Wars fame...awesome.

ReplyDeleteI didn't see it coming either!
ReplyDeleteagree, the re-encounter should be good
ReplyDeleteI agree, I am glad that they didn't drag out the rabbit reveal any longer

And HSC us clearly Jabba the Hutt! We almost got Sophie Lowe in a Princess Lea outfit :p

ReplyDeleteThat is true except that the roads/paths in wonderland show up way too often :P I would rather them doing all scenes in the forests.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! XD
