Wow. That woman was a cold bitch but even I felt bad for her when she got burned alive. By the way, good job with the fire effects. It's really odd how even today how fake fire can look on TV shows.
more backstory on Skype and her motives........is she looking for her parents? I bet they were SHIELD agent who were killed? I don't understand the ending? but I think the female will be back
the show just keeps the goodness going... loved the little tidbits on the Coulson mystery (he doesn't sleep/much) and that they further expanded on the overall mytharc with the Extremis group.... liked that they brought the Skye agenda out in the open as that will go further in tightening up the slightly fractured group into something hopefully stronger than before
this mysterious group that flower girl is involve in is very dangerous and they are planning something and they were responsible for the Mike Peterson power so it has to be some kind of test experiment for bigger plan.
Loved seeing Ruth Negga on here! The show has had some great guest stars!
- Still not a fan of the score music, too heavy-handed. - I was also annoyed by the car chase scene. A lot of blurry quick cuts, but always punctuated by a crystal clear close up of the Lexus logo on Coulson's SUV. Then of course back to quick blurry cuts.
- Glad to see the obvious double agent plot play out even if I did expect her to basically be on SHIELD's side in the end. - Nice action and VFX again. - I do like the Whedon-esque dialog, but I still feel the show is skimming the surface too much. No depth unless the viewer adds it themselves from the MCU.
Another decent episode, but after 5 I have not been pulled in deeper and probably have more issues with the series, not less. I'm writing this one off as yet another series I just do not find as good as many other people.
Loved it! I needed an episode where Skye felt the feeling of abandoned even if short it was needed for me, who loves her character. Liked Fitz/Simmons this episode, that scene in the apartment was great.
It was a GREAT episode......This show is getting better and better with each episode......I really liked Ward and Skye in this episode, it really showed their vulnerable sides....and yay at skye for not being a traitor anymore...
I'm not loving the show as much as I thought I would but right now the show is at a point where it's planting the seeds for multiple storylines. We have Coulson's "stay in Tahiti", the Centipede/Extremis group, Skye's parents, Graviton & the background stories of the team members. I think once the show moves these storylines along, I'm really gonna start enjoying it.
I probably will check back later in the season, maybe watch a mini-marathon if I hear it improves. Just for now other shows Interest me more. Always nice to have shows waiting on the back burner though!
I struggled to get into it this week. The stuff with scorch was kinda dull and pretty unoriginal. They need to spend less time on these guest characters and flesh out the mains.
While watching this episode I got reminded why I really don't like S.H.I.E.L.D. (the organization) very much. Their methods are just so wrong and contraproductive.
On the other hand I liked Skye's friend/lover a lot and hope to see him again.
So the girl with the flowered dress (which, as a title, reminded me of "There are three flowers in a vase..." meets the "Girl with the dragon tattoo") seems to have some kind of... power over people? Or is it just me? Anyways, awesome new character. And one I hope we get to see more often!
This episode made me root for agent Ward a lot. That look when Skie complimented him in front of her "boyfriend" and their scene together at the begining? Priceless!
I loved it as usual. I loved that they called themselves out on the tacky super hero names ... Scorch ... really? Coulson is by far my favorite character - I need to know what happened "in Tahiti". Advancing Skye's story line is a good thing - keep doing this. The role reversal she portrayed from her first episode from bashing SHEILD to defending them to her former colleague was well done.
Liked it a lot, another very solid episode. I am liking the characters more and more, which is great. I like Wald and I am growing to like Skye, I was glad that they advanced her storyline now and didn't wait until the midseason finale to do something like it. I still think it would be more interesting to have someone else than two of Fitz-Simmons, I don't see the point of having two. A different character with a different background would add more IMO. Anyway, I also liked the case and that we FINALLY saw someone with powers. I had a lot of Heroes flashbacks with the exploding scene though, it brought me back to the season 1 finale scene in the plaza when Peter is about to explode and Claire comes but then Nathan arrives. Good times.
I agree with this. I think there is a lot of potential in all that. And I do enjoy the episodes a lot (except episode 3 which was very meh for me). I think the show is struggling to develop a serialized storyline while trying to keep a procedural esque formatt. But I think they will get there in time.
Probably the worst episode yet. It takes them like 2 minutes to convince this guy that all they want to do is help, after kidnapping him that is. And for nothing in exchange. Just the goodness of their heart? Is it physically possible for someone to be that stupid?
Also, the technical jargon on the show? Complete bullshit. Has nothing to do with how thigns actually work. I never realized because they never used any networking or programming jargon till this episode. :D
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThis show is getting better and better! Glad the Skye storyline wasn't dragged out too much longer.

I like Agent May and Coulson's budding friendship she'll probably be the first to call him out on his Tahiti fantasy

ReplyDeleteI liked the fire effects too, especially when the doctor was scorched.
ReplyDeleteI found her very intriguing as well and hope we'll get to see her soon again.

ReplyDeleteGreat episode. I kinda guessed that Skye had other motives then getting inside info about SHIELD for the rising tide.

I laughed at Coulson saying he can accept this box or a much bigger box then this lol

Now that I've thought about it ... the name could be worse than Scorch.

ReplyDeleteI like Ward too, I don't know why people don't like him
ReplyDeleteI kind of feel that they made the case serve the development of the main characters though. No complains there from my part.
ReplyDeleteAgree, I liked the vulnerable sides showcased by both.

ReplyDeleteI agree, I thought they wouldn't give us her storyline until way later, glad to see it playing out now!
ReplyDeleteI agree. On a sidenote, ABC could spread the love a little and give OUAT some much needed improvement in its effects too.
