I loved it! LOL at Ted, Barney, and Robin all coming up with insane ways to get the phone from Lily. A+ use of the "no questions asked policy" from Ted.
Glad Lily finally knows the truth now, though! Interested in the fallout. And I like that Barney and Robin had a real conversation (even when there was some comedy mixed in it).
Great episode and can't wait to see what happens next.
I loved this episode. It was so much better than I had expected from the promo. The comedy was really good, and the 'No Questions Asked' Scenarios were awesome.
I'm curious to see what will happen between Marshall and Lily, as they're always the best couple in the world. I wonder how Marshall will fix it, and eventually what path they will take in their future.
I think the Barney/Robin moment at the end was the best I've seen of the couple. It was a very sweet moment when they shared insecurities and then started to dream of how they could make it work. It shows that they really want to be together. I missed this sort of real emotion with the characters, especially in Barney's case.
I thought this was one of the best episodes this season it was funny, sweet, classic it was fantastic. I'm so glad Barney and robin are becoming the couple I know they can be and it's nice to see them talking. Still love when they say things in unison it's really cute I hope to see that more this season.
The No Questions Asked plots were really funny especially Robin's cause it was so random. Robin in the unitard hilarious, the other situations, Ted in the mailbox, Lily with her students and Barney at the hospital.
Great episode really enjoyed it but not really looking forward to next weeks episode though.
Great episode. Much better than last week's. Hilarious antics by the entire gang. Plus, one of the few Barney/Robin conversations that I could actually appreciate. Recognizing an issue and discussing the potential for it to continue to be an issue if they don't work around it. Honestly spoiled it with the simultaneous talking and "Awww" stuff. That got old REAL fast. Maybe if they didn't use it every single episode...
Oh, and Courtney Dove/Koo Kobain...amazing pun work. Brava.
Again... some chuckling moments, but never laugh out loud moments. And instead of actually having a confrontation between Marshall and Lily this episode, they do yet another stall. Just like the whole season is a stall to the meeting of the mother... who again wasn't in this episode.
Even Barney/Robin, who I like and rooted for to get together, are becoming annoying.
I hate ragging on the show as I used to love it... but damn, it just leaves me unhappy when each episode this season is over. It definitely is rivaling Dexter in one of the worst final seasons I've seen.
Exactly. It's a cute idea to sort of be one of "their things," like Ted and Robin doing the salute thing or Marshall and Lily calling each other by their nicknames and what not, but it needs to be spread out a bit to stay cute.
Kind of meh for me. Liked it better than the last one, but nothing felt "new" about it, really, and it still feels like they're wasting time rather than moving the story forward. I like Barney and Robin together okay, but that couple has always been one I've had to be convinced to really dig (like the chemistry isn't 100% natural feeling like some couples) and the whole "aww" thing every episode is getting tired and insincere. I thought the way they pulled off "The Robin" proposal was so brilliantly executed. Everything this season seems tired and like they're trying to milk every dime joke for a twenty buck reaction. Wish they'd get on with showing us more of the Mother and stop with the rehashing of old stuff.
Agreed. The premiere was great, but we haven't seen the Mother at all since then. Maybe next week will be better since she's finally coming back. I mean, come on, Cristin Milioti is a series regular, but she's only appeared in 2 out of 7 episodes so far! Unacceptable!
Not necessarily, I just think that 24 episodes is too much, so they have to fill it in with some boring stuff. I believe it will come out great eventually, we just need to get through this. There will be some epic episodes, no doubt about that.
I have no doubt there will be some good ones... but I guess I also consider it a mistake to have so much "filler" that's going nowhere. This is their last season... you'd think they'd want to leave it all out on the field.
Who is gonna die in room 13? Do you think the series will end like that? Ever since the speech last season at the mother's door with the "I will love till the end of my days and beyond" I've been afraid that she is dead in the future :(

I wouldn't worry too much about her dying to be honest, after all we're still dealing with a comedy series, not a drama. I think that line was just a typical Ted way of confessing the extent of his love for her.
I sure hope so because if they did do that, they'd better hide from the fans for the rest of their lives especially after not featuring the mother in all the season's episodes despite her being a regular.
I thought it was yet another hilarious episode, Marshal was really funny and they had that healthful ending with him telling Lilly the truth. Really enjoying the final season!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Yeah, the "aww" stuff is cute, but even I'm starting to get a little sick of it, tbh. LOL. But having a real, adult conversation is nice!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I forgot about the dove names! Those were hilarious.

Carter and Craig were in drugs while writing this episode?
ReplyDeleteThis whole season is sizing up to be one epic disappointment.
ReplyDeleteExactly. It's a cute idea to sort of be one of "their things," like Ted and Robin doing the salute thing or Marshall and Lily calling each other by their nicknames and what not, but it needs to be spread out a bit to stay cute.
ReplyDeleteHaha yes, gotta love puns!

ReplyDeleteI really think they should show the What the mother is doing at all those hours they mention.
ReplyDeletevery good one.. Barney and Robin conversation was the high point. Now Lily knows thats good too.. Ted man.. he needs to meet mother..
ReplyDeleteThey didn't write this episode.
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily, I just think that 24 episodes is too much, so they have to fill it in with some boring stuff.

Agree. They need to be focusing more on all the new stuff viewers are salivating for rather than rehashing old jokes they've already done before.
