  1. Lily is literally my favorite person ever right now. Ever. And
Barney/Robin’s love story killed a preacher…yeah, about right. Episode as a
whole…pretty dull. This wedding is really dragging right now. And no Mother.
    Again. Which sucks.

  2. Loved this episode, It has hilarious.
I loved LilyDaphne and Lily's version's of Barney and Robin's story. And the knight, that was hilarious every time.

  3. Honestly, it's like the writers are trying to further my disappointment each week.

  4. Awesome episode, Barney & Robin are just perfect their love story is perfect the way they love each other it's a special kind of love.

Daphine was really funny, I loved the role reversal of M/L's story and B/R's story.

I was bored with Ted's part of the episode I didn't care in the slightest that he had a date.

  5. Ugh... it is sad that this once phenomenal show is just painful to get through now. There were a couple chuckling moments, but God... I hated it.

    Bad points:
-I hate Sherri Shepard's character, and the scene where she kept saying "start over" was grating
-Ted trying to hook up with a girl who isn't the mother
    -Not that funny of stories
    -Still no Mother!

  6. Agree. They need to stop with the regurgitating of old story lines and get with the stuff every loyal viewer has waited nine seasons to see: how Ted meets the Mother.

  7. I found this episode (and the last few episodes) frustrating because I feel like they're holding out on what everyone wants to see (the Mother) and has waited to see and are spending too much time rehashing old material. As much as I love Ted, Robin, Barney, Marshall and Lily... I have watched them for eight full seasons and they need something new in there to freshen things up. Having Ted date a crazy girl or stuck with a crazy girl is a plot they've done countless times. Barney and Robin are cute together, but their story didn't go anywhere it hadn't before. Even as a person who totally likes that scene in Indiana Jones, it got old and tired fast.

  8. There was something really meta about the whole minister being all "You're terrible people!", "Yes, we are messed up people, so what?". A message to all the swarkles haters, and then the minister dying, I loved it.

And I also love how the actual voting never seems to reflect the comment section, if it's that aweful how some poeple say, how can it be that ~70% of the votings are positive ones?

  9. ITA!!! If I hadn't watched this show since the beginning and I feel like I need to stay with it until the very end, I'd be done with it.

  10. Well as of this moment, there are 35 votes but only 10 comments...not everyone feels the need to comment on why the loved/hated the ep, only the people with strong feelings comment, for the most part.

  11. Vocal minority it is who keeps complaining it seems.

This one is hilarious.. But some plots are getting old.. I liked the Knight "vision" and his you chose.. I really liked the role reversal but hated the start overs man sherri shepherd can be a drag ... routine Ted may be they wanted these first few episodes to be call backs.. so we feel all seen and done stuff.. Ok i will give them this but come up with something new next... I am not that worried about not seeing mother every week.. actually that was the deal right we were supposed to see her in the last episode.. and also i am worried at this rate I may end up not liking her much.. Any wayz hope whenever we see her we like her even more and with better story lines..

  13. Okay seriously, if you are going to make the mother a series regular why don't you show her more than TWO EPISODES??????

  14. This season final is suppose to be a goodbye to the characters, and personally I think they're doing it well. Yes I'm very anxious to know more about the mother and see her more, but the reason I'm still watching is because of the original cast. So not too bothered she hasn't been in it for a few eps. I'm sure they'll more than make up for it in the second half of the series.
Was also great to see Richard Gilmore.

  15. I loved this episode. LOL at the minister dying like that.

And I love how Barney and Robin met. It's an awesome story.

  16. It's really getting on my nerves.

  17. I like Sherri Shepard but her character is annoying and how dare she tells Lilly!

    ReplyDelete
  18. It had some funny moments but it was a filler just an episode to make people laugh but story wise there was nothing interesting except Daphne telling Lilly.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fair enough. I had never heard of Sherri Shepard so her role on this is the only thing I have to judge her on. And you're right, she had no business telling Lily!

  20. Agree!

And bwt the only one liked this season are the barney/robin fans and even if I liked them as a couple I would have hated their "storyline"
And please how their meeting is a great story? They became friends and then Barney broke the Bro Code by sleeping with his best friend's ex so please... You love the couple ok but be objective a little

    ReplyDelete
  21. I knew her from Everybody Loves Raymond.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't care who likes the "bro" dynamic of Barney/Robin, but it is deluded to think that cheating and promiscuous sex makes a good love story. It makes them gross and frankly awful people to be proud of that history.

    ReplyDelete
  23. On what god-forsaken planet is cheating and promiscuous sex (in Barney's case with 250 different women) a perfect love story?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah, the cheating was wrong, but I don't care about promiscuity. They were free to sleep with whoever they wanted.

    ReplyDelete
  25. More referring to the "promiscuity" in the fact that Robin claims that she likes the fact that Barney slept with 250 women before he settled on her. Accepting it is one thing, but no sane individual would be happy with that fact, and I just personally think it does a huge injustice to Robin's character to claim that she likes that facet of their history.

  26. What the damn hell indeed.

  27. I like this episode, I think was fun and I don't care if the producers not show more Mother scenes, I trust t hemand I wait for see more of future Mrs. Ted Mosby in the right time.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I liked it, especially due to the mix up in the histories of Robin/Barney and Lilly/Marhsall, I thought those were hilarious. Ted's story was ok too. I didn't like it as much as the previous ones, but it was still quite good. I am really enjoying this season.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Thank you for that. I don't get why everyone is complaining. We've seen her already and I am sure she will be meeting Ted soon. I am interested in her but I would much rather spend the last year with the characters I've spent the last 8 years with than with someone I had never seen before last season's finale.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Amen to that! I have been saying that since the beggining of the season! It's about saying goodbye to the characters, the mother is just a bonus of sorts!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't understand this. Why are you so eager to learn more about some woman? Like it or not, the show has been about these 5 characters for the past 8 years. Personally, I would be angry if they were sidelined in the final season for us to meet a woman we had never seen. Give it a rest. We've met her already and I am sure Ted will get his chance. The final season of a show is supposed to be about getting closure with the characters we've spent the last 8 years with. That's what they've been doing.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I liked the Marshall storyline better in the first episodes, I was really digging it. Now I think they are dragging it too much, I would rather he had arrived already.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Why am I eager to learn about some woman? Umm hello get a clue the whole purpose of this show is to learn about that women. The writers went out of there way to say that this year would be all about learning more about that woman. And considering the amount of people that agree with me it's you who needs to give it a rest or better yet GTFO.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Rude much, han?

I think people misunderstand the purpose of the entire show. Yes, it's called How I Met Your Mother, but the show is about the transition of a group of friends into adulthood, about their personal growth and their relationships and friendships among each other. If you think meeting the mother is actually more important to the show then, let's say, Lilly and Marshall's relationship or the Barney Stinson character, I doubt we are watching the same show.
