LOL at Marshall and Ted being passive-aggressive about the gift/thank-you note all episode. Awww at Ted sending him pizza.
I'm absolutely convinced James was cheated on and he's overcompensating for this with his comments that cross the line and running to Loretta. I bet he and Tom will make up by the end of the season, though.
And confirmation the wedding actually happens (again) with the honeymoon mention! Yay!
Barney and Robin were adorable. I've decided that last part with him talking to James and Loretta didn't actually happen, but he's already calling her his wife! I can't even.
Juno reference = awesomesauce. Loved the entire story with Ted, Marshall, and Lily. On that note, James is just showing himself to be more and more of a jacka**. And Barney going completely overboard with his "revelation" about marriage was also pretty hilarious. Still want them to mix things up more...One of the best parts of last week's episode was seeing people interact besides Ted/Lily/Marshall and Robin/Barney.
I love this episode much 1000 times better than last week. Barney & Robin are calling each other husband and wife before they're married it's so cute. It was funny seeing Robing/Loretta fighting this is sure to continue for along time but James was a major buzz kill and a douche he just needs to sto his BS about marriage. I even enjoyed the Marshall/Ted/Lily gift story that was funny and Billy Zabka hiding in the couch and Lily under the bed lol.
Great episode it's also nice to see Stewart and Claudia.
Loved Loved this episode, I think it's obvious by now that's anything flashforward/flashback is always exaggerated to an extent for laughs. Robin vs. Loretta is gonna be awesome to watch.
really loving this season but need to see the mother again, come on writers give us the mother!
I really can't see Ted doing that :P Barney on the other hand is a crazy (but adorable) dysfunctional guy with sooo many issues... I say last part did happen lol
Yeah, you say that, yet we all know that that's what they kept telling us the whole summer, that it will basically be the season of the Mother. How can Chalice93 and many others not be disappointed when the writers are clearly breaching on their promise?
Anyway, I will say that I enjoyed the episode. It was far better than the last two, and that's strictly for one reason. More Marshall, who is the only character I've been wanting to see more of, other than the Mother(but I won't go down that road again now). I will say though, that I would trade ten Barney/Robin scenes for just one scene of the Mother, and I'm not even sorry for saying that. I used to like them, but now their drama and conflicts start to annoy me.
I forgot to ask something that I found interesting: Shouldn't Lily be in Italy at the time she was with Barney at MacLaren's right after his honeymoon? Does that mean that Marshall's judgeship will indeed affect their plans to move to Italy?
I am super happy with this season. I think it has been consistently fun while keeping it true to the characters and the overall tone of the show. Surprisingly enjoyed the ted-marshall thing! Great stuff!
Better, but still weak. I laughed at a few parts with Ted/Lily/Marshall present thing. But much like the 2 episodes before this I have big problems: mostly pointless storylines that are merely here to stall time for the stupid wedding-weekend only season, and... more importantly... no mother!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Much better than last week's episode! I loved it.

ReplyDeleteI'm really missing the mother, its been 3 episodes now since we saw her. She better be in next weeks episode.

Agreed. She's a series regular now. Where is the Mother?
ReplyDeleteDid you notice the slutty pumpkin? :)

ReplyDeletereally loving this season but need to see the mother again, come on writers give us the mother!
Another episode without the Mother? This season sucks, even bigger disappointment than Dexter's final season.
ReplyDeleteTry not to be so tunneled-vision about mother and enjoy little things in life. It might get you somewhere and this season won't be "disappointing".
ReplyDeleteBet if it was Ted, and not Barney, you wouldn't have decided that that last part didn't happen...
ReplyDeletesome jokes were very good and barney after honeymoon was something to watch. great one and enjoyed it..

ReplyDeleteWhere is the mother?! Wasnt she supposed to be series regular? Anyway, the episode was good...
ReplyDeleteNo, it was so over the top - for anyone - that it seems more like a fantasy.
ReplyDeleteThe return of Katie Holmes as the Slutty Pumpkin was fun!
ReplyDeleteDid I miss something?
ReplyDeleteApparently! Around minute 10, you see her, right after Ted and Marshall end their "discussion" at the Halloween party.

ReplyDeleteAlright. Guess I'll have to watch it again :-)
