    Awful. If they would have left out all the robin/barney scenes/ written a different story for them it would have been great.

    Barney and Robin were adorable during this episode! LOL at James. A+ at all the Princess Bride references.


    LOL at all the old people. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.


    I like that Lily and Daphne have become friends now. That's awesome.

    And holy shit at the end. Was not expecting that bombshell!

    Again, LOVE everything involving Lily and Ted. Awesome awesome friendship. And Marshall and his Packers hatred was also adorable. And loved the Princess Bride reference.


    And as for the Barney/Robin stuff...could have been so left out. Really don't need to be reminded every time you talk to each other that your relationship is built on sex and scotch. Unnecessary.

    Fantastic episode, definitely one of my favorites I loved Barney and Robin they are just so perfect and cute. Loved James helping them out and the Ted and Lily scenes were great too.

    This whole 1 episode = 1 hour thing is already annoyingly old... and that wasn't a pun because of the story. There were some nice moments, particularly with Marshall and his hatred for the Packers, but overall it was just... let's count: meh story, stupid dragged out wedding weekend, no mother, nowhere near what the premiere was.



    Last week at least gave me hope the stupid structure of this season would be bearable if the stories were funny and heartfelt, this one obliterated that hope.

    Great episode, It was really funny and touching. Didn't expect the ending though.
    Also, I am a little disappointed that the mother won't be in every episode, like I suspected.

    I agree. It was a good episode, but I was also disappointed that Cristin/The Mother wasn't in the episode. I hope they won't have her absent from too many episodes this season.

    Horrible episode. The Robin/Barney stuff was boring, repetitive and unnecessary.


    After 8 years of waiting we need more of the mother. Heck this entire season should be putting here in the spotlight with everyone else just supporting it.

    It was generally a good episode....i liked the Lily/Ted scenes but I wish The Mother was in it.....Let's hope that she will be in next week's episode.....

    I for one think this structure is working for the show. Also it has taken a step up in quality this year, as I find myself laughing a lot more.


    The backdoor jokes, Princess bride references and "horror movie" stuff was all really funny

    I have seen a lot of hate for the episode but I really liked it. Lily and Ted's storyline was very heartfelt, the ending scene with Lilly was really great and I honestly feel bad for Ted right now for where he is in life. Robin and Barney's story was just hilarious, loved the Mandy Patinkin joke. The only thing is that they could have used Marhsall more but I am sure he is about to meet the mother somewhere in the trip, it's fine.

    Disagree. I want to spend the last season with the character I spent the last 8 years with, I would feel frustrated if a new character was thrown to the spotlight like that. Robin and Barney stuff, while not needed, was very funny, IMO, and provided the episode with a very nice balace from the more serious Ted/Lilly storyline.

    I enjoyed this episode more than the openers. The Marshall/Daphne scenes were quite funny, although it's a bit ridiculous if they're going to not make it that they stop in that shop but I digress. And I liked the Lily/Ted stuff, even if Ted has become unbearable.
