  1. Creepy final scene.....
Reminded me for a second of Hector Salamanca.

  2. So Quinn went from a character I didn't really care about to arguably my favorite character on the show.

  3. What is happening to Carrie is absolutely horrible, like really chilling.

Love the new girl Fara, Saul was being a racist prick but that probably sadly reflects the reality. I like how she is kicking ass in her own way via bank records and research.

Quinn is awesome. He will not stand for shit.

  4. Liked it, but I'm getting tired of the "crazy Carrie" storyline. It's getting a bit overdone. Saul and Peter continue to steal the spotlight but Brody needs to come back soon.

  5. Simply awful. All of Dana's scenes are unwatchable and the rest is pretty meh. I don't know what happened to this show.

  6. Luckily next week's looks pretty good. But I agree that almost nothing has reeled me in yet.

  7. What was awful? We are watching the fallout of the bombing,of 160 some odd people slaughtered Then having to watch Brody family designator and go into a further hell by seeing their farther, husband on the screen knowing he became a trader,He Turned,He is willing ti kill Americans because of his faith

Dana who was always close with her farther couldn't comprehend what he was doing, then finding out the rest of it,well, couldn't deal with it and tryed to to it the way she knew how,

These are all repercussions that everyone is paying for now one way or another, It take time, and don't forget Brody will be back and more shit is going to happen for everyone..

  8. All the things that have happened in both episodes should indeed happen, but they should balance things out to keep the show entertaining. I mean c'mon, half of the episode for Dana's storyline? Are they looking for new audience to turn away from soap operas and start watching this? If I hadn't invested a lot of hours in watching seasons 1 & 2 (and rewatching them before the new season starts) I wouldn't be so pissed off and I would just quietly drop the show from my watchlist.

  10. I like how the show has made me feel sorry for Carrie despite the fact she is 100% in the wrong. Complex situations like this do exist where the ethical and the actual seem to contradict one another. Dissecting that dilemma is something I find interesting.

Something I find less interesting, The Brody clan. YAAAAWN.
Okay, I actually find the character Dana interesting and the actress portrays her quite well! However, it simply does not belong on Homeland in my opinion. The were the drag of the series when Nicholas Brody was the active star of the series. Now that he is mostly absent from the series, excuse my language, WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY STILL ON?

Quinn has always been one of my favorite characters. Complex and unpredictable to a degree. This week brought it all (and him) to another level. Who would have thought crazy killer Quinn would be the conscience of the series this year? XD

I've always liked Nazanin Boniadi, so me liking the new character Fara is not surprising. I think it is nice to have another female presence on the show and this time it is one that is not on edge, manic, or having affairs etc..She is adding a new dynamic, both in just being who she is (competent and collected) and by being WHAT she is. Her being Muslim adds a new level of complexity and nuance.

Not sure how I feel about the season yet honestly. Past years have drawn me in, only to be extremely disappointed in the final few episodes. This year seems to be starting slower and building a bit more slowly. Hopefully the final episodes of the season continue an upward climb for a change of pace.

  11. Nazanin Boniadi is one of the actresses I would love to see on Game of Thrones as Princess Arianne Martel of Dorne.

I like her range as an actress, from Raj's sister/ Leonard's girlfriend on how I Met Your Mother to a CIA analyst. Both extremely fun and believable roles for me.

  12. I think a lot of people bag on Dana and her portrayer because a.) she (and the whole family) interrupt the main plot of the show every week and b.) TV viewers notoriously dislike troubled teen characters.

I understand both of those grievances. I do. That being said, I think Morgan Saylor does a fantastic job with this character and I enjoy seeing her performances every week, even though that prayer rug scene in yesterday's episode was a bit melodramatic.

I've thought for quite a while that the best thing would be for Dana and her issues to dovetail back to Carrie because pairing-up two dysfunctional, volatile, broken people like Carrie and Dana could be a lot of fun and would give both actresses a lot to chew on creatively.

  13. That could be interesting.

I think you're right about how people feel on Dana...

I will be watching for Saylor in future projects for sure. I've really liked what she's done with Dana for the most part.... I just wish the character had a much smaller presence on the series.

  14. I like the Brody family arc, and I think the exploration of the psyches of some of the characters has always been the real strong point of this series. Perhaps the rest of the season's action will center on the hunt for Brody, culminating with his demise by drone strike. I don't see how else the Brody character, fascinating though it is, can offer much else, plot-wise.

Also think that it's a matter of time before Carrie's activities during the 14 post-blast hours comes to light, with treason charges to follow...

  15. We know Brody will be back or they will (whoever) will find him.I don't expect him in S4,if there even is a season 4.

I'm not crazy about the Brody family, but i know they are needed.Their storyline can't be dropped because Brody is still alive, and it does show what happens to a family in crisis. There is as much fallout for them as it is for Carrie,Saul and the family of those killed.

  16. It was just ok. They made me hate Saul which I didn't think they could do so easily. I feel so sorry for Carrie. Between her and Dana I feel really depressed watching the show now, they shouldn't make it that hard. I am however missing Brody and Damian Lewis a lot. Even though it was a solid episode, I feel that it was just dealing with the repercussions of the previous episode (Dana coming back and Saul betraying Carry) and nothing new really went down. Oh and I like Peter Quinn by the way.

  17. finally caught up and watched the ep... gave it a good overall as even though I figure that it's setup for what's to come, it just felt slow and save for a few parts, uninteresting to me. Loved the progression of Quinn to a somewhat fave character. Also intrigued by the new analyst as well. As for the Dana saga, I know that it's a tale of fallout and repercussions, but I would be fine without that whole plotline altogether, but figure that they will try to intertwine it to the overall plot later.... not a bad ep, but not one of the better ones for me

  18. I see your point, but with Brody out of the picture for awhile it had to fall on one of the Brody's,and i guess it was her.Brody & his wife were already on the outs and they needed to show how his actions, what his actions caused for his loved ones..Just think it won't last much longer....
