I hope this is not the solo surgery fight all over again- Suck it up, Mer, Cristina is right! She did not "steal" your surgery, she acted in the best interest of the patient!
I agree with that, BUT Christina should have put it a little more delicately... I felt bad for Mer, that came out of nowhere. While Chris/Mer don't have the most conventional friendship, they still support eachother.
Even though I also thought Christina was right in a way, I really didn't like the way she told it to Mer. It was like, we were the same at the beginning but you chose to have kids and therefore not be extraordinary. While she adopted, got pregnant right after, gave birth and come back to work really soon.
I liked it. They have been doing a very solid job with this season so far. All storylines were enjoyable for the most part, except maybe for the Stephanie one, I don't care about her. I kind of like Leah but I am not keen on seeing her with Arizona. Meredith and Christina's issue was organic and well played, I can see both POVs so it was good and I am glad they are going this route. I wish they had done more with Alex, but I think we'll get there, love this storyline. Jo was cool.
IDK- But at this point, shouldn't Mer have understood that she was too preoccupied to be part of a cutting-edge surgery that was completely new to her? She's an attending, she should know when she should not cut. And it's not like Cristina snuck the patient in earlier than she planned, the patient went into distress and needed to be taken in. Mer was occupied elsewhere, Bailey was available, and prepared. If Mer had put it along the lines of, "Hey, How come you took the patient in an hour before time?" , as opposed to "You stole my surgery", maybe she'd have gotten a different response.
At this point I'm actually liking all of the interns except Jo... But I suppose I'll get there as her storyline develops. These last couple of episodes Leah and Stephanie have kind of proven themselves, and I've always found Ross adorable :-)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteMer to throw herself into her mother's old research and work on that to show she is on top of her game.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted Alex to talk to his dad...

ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the episode! Probably the best one so far this season.
ReplyDeleteReally starting to like Leah and Stephanie, and I definitely enjoyed Jo more too.
The friction with Mer and Cristina was well played, and I see both of their POVs. They'll be back to the twisted sisters in no time though I'm sure :)
