Whoever gave the ep a poor score is crazy! The only thing that could have made the ep better is if Izzie or Teddy would have walked through the door. Or if the cast did a thank you clip at the end. I LOVED EVERY MOMENT!
It was a good episode. - Still not too fond of the interns; The episode made me hate Shane even more and I didn't think that was possible.
- Alex finally gets a storyline with his dad coming into the picture, I'm really looking forward to that. - Cristina seems to have a harder time moving on than Owen and I admire her for doing what she's doing. - It was nice that Arizona got to talk to someone, still wish that someone would have been a therapist. - I'm starting to like Jackson/Stephanie, even though I still prefer him with April. But I'm okay with them being just friends (for now).
I really enjoyed this one. I think it may be b/c I've been disappointed by some of the more recent episodes and this episode really took me back to a vintage Grey's feel. I think I came in w/ low expectations for the episode b/c lately Shonda, Tony Phelan, and the cast have been pumping up the episodes and they turn out to be let downs (ie Everybody's Crying Mercy). No I don't think it was as great as the 100th and I don't feel like any of the newer seasons have lived up to the past seasons but I thought the episode was better than the premiere and better than most of the eps from S9. This episode made me think they're finally getting back to the Grey's we fell in love with. I think a lot of ppl were let down b/c they thought it would be like the 100th and the last couple of seasons don't even begin to compare to when the show first started but it was nice to see old element that I missed since the core group finished their residency (ie competition).
I liked it. They have been delivering very solid drama episodes this year. Last year, the early part of the season I was unhappy as I felt the show was trying too hard to be comical for some reason. This year they are doing excellently, focusing on what they do better. Impressive how they still got it 10 years later.
I agree there. I was just saying Shonda needs to get back in the Grey's writers room and give us a really emotional S2 type episode. I was thinking the other day when was the last time an episode of Grey's really made me cry and it was probably the S8 finale. I didn't really get emotional when Mark died b/c it was known that Eric Dane wasn't coming back. I just really enjoyed this episode b/c it reminded me of some of the things that I have been missing from the show since S8. Sometimes it kind of feels like Shonda and her writers are giving up on this show. Shonda said she would want it to continue to set a record as the longest running medical drama. I don't think a show should continue on just to set records if the quality isn't there. After watching this episode 3 times I definitely agree it wasn't 200th worthy but I still really really enjoyed it. Shonda said she took the show back from the fans maybe it's time to give it back to us

ReplyDeleteNot as good as the 100th. This didn't feel like an 200th ep. It didn't feel celebratory like the 100th one did. So a little disappointed.
ReplyDeleteReally thought we'll see Addison come in and give a donation.
Can't wait for the Alex/Father storyline though. It's about time.
