  1. That's the second time Kate thought Castle was about to dump her and it looked like the mere thought of it would crush her. Instead he offered to move move away with her. That pleases me a lot.

  2. Well, that was a stupid way to get her back to New York, tbh. I love that Castle got them an apartment in DC! (They should use it and go away on vacation or something)

But Castle and Beckett were adorable the entire episode! I loved their scenes.

  4. The ending was amazing, but that‘s about it. They had Lisa Edelstein for one last episode and that‘s all they did with her?

I really didn‘t expect Beckett to get fired. I knew she would be back to NY but I always thought she would be the one to resign. I think it‘ll be extremely interesting where they go from here and how she deals with this. Does she feel like a failure? Is she relieved that she won‘t have to follow protocols that she didn‘t believe in?

  7. What's botehring me is that he only thought about it now? Since the offer last season and his ''if you take the job is over between us'', it's just now he remembers he's a writer and can write anywhere?^^;; Kind of slow going there.

Feel like the writers didn't put that alternative last season for the sake of free drama and out of nowhere they get that alternative out for sort of free drama (''I got fired just as the moment he had that brillant idea :('' )

  10. I think he didn't do it earlier because he still felt Alexis needed him close. But with Pi it was quite obvious she is growing up leaving him free to move to DC.

  11. I think the firing was believable. I don't think Kate would quit. Quitting would have meant she couldn't measure up or adapt. She doesn't seem like a quitter to me. The actions she took were believable because she is used to bending the rules. At the precinct she earned the right to bend the rules through years of moving up the ranks but with the federal team she was still a rookie leaving her no room for rule breaking. I liked how they resolved her return to NY.

  12. After last episode, I knew Beckett would do something that'd get her fired.

  15. I loved the episode!
I´ll start my toughts with the end, as it´s dividing people.Wen I first saw it, I also tought I would rather see Kate leaving DC on her own, but then I gave it a second tought and, IMO, the writting was great. The way I see it, Kate is a smart and intelligent woman and Is working with the AG for some months - do you really believe she is naive enough to think she wouldn´t get caught and face consequences? I don´t think so! For me, she was thorn between the grey areas of the work and the great cases she probably worked in that time (surely not everything was grey) and didn´t want to make the final choice (probably for her leaving would make her a loser).
So, unconsciously, she kind of sabbotaged herself in order to having someone making the decision for her! That´s how I see it, and in that light I found the writting brilliant! Of course I hope the next episode shows some light into this (I hope she isn´t with the NYPD right away).
I loved all the Castle/Beckett scenes, particullary the opening because it turned out totally different from what looked like at first!
And Perlmutter "Mr. Castle, back but not by popular demand" was gold! I love that guy, who else to push Castle that way?!:)

  16. Honestly, I think that your POV is one of the best about the all firing thing I've read so far. I actually think it's something Kate's carachter would do, sabotaging herself, I could clearly recall some other situation in the past where she had the same attitude. From the next week promo, she seems to be wearing street clothes, so I believe her coming back to the NYPD will be adress, but in the light of Castle's involvement in next week's case. kudos to the caskett scenes and can we just please get rid of Pi already? ;)

  19. I am glad that she was fired and not just quit. Everyone expected her to realize that she wanted to stay in NY and decide to quit, but in real life people just don't always get away with doing things their own way and even though Beckett is awesome, it is more realistic for her to not be perfect and successfull all the time. A failure will be good for the character and I love it because it isn't the obvious choice.

  20. I guess that's the reason they had to make Gates hate McCord, so that she would be glad and very understanding when Beckett came back. McCord ends up being the bitch in the situation.

  21. He knew it wasn't going to be on a tour his whole life and would come back after, he could've easily say last season ''I can't right now but I could move to your new town after'' instead of ''If you leave it's over!''. He never thought about that possibility at all

  22. Loved the episode but the Pi storyline is beyond ridiculous and makes Alexis look like a spoiled brat. Castle should never have agreed to this. If Alexis wants to meet him, fine, but bringing him to live at the loft? Completely unacceptable.

  23. Castle wanted to wait until Beckett had her footing in at D.C. and he gave her her space for months because he didn't want to lose her or what they have. Castle did not push the envelope so to speak. Kate is appreciative of that and I see her loving him more now than ever because he gave her her space in D.C. Her reaction to him when he gave her the key spoke volumes.

  24. I didn't care for the case but it was nice to see the mess that was bringing everyone together with Beckett on the other side of the team. I still think they should have used Lisa Edelstein better in her last episode here. Becket is also back and I am fine with the way it happened, I felt it was organic to the character so I am good with it. I have one curiosity for the hardcore Castle fans on this website: what is the point of Pearlmutter on the show? Why isn't Lannie always there? I don't get why his character exists, he serves no purpose.

  25. I loved all the Castle and Beckett scenes, especially the first and last scenes with them together. Castle how he takes Kates virtual kiss and rubs it on his face when she kisses her phone was adorable. I felt the murder plot was not the best, but when Beckett and Castle aren't working on a case together (as they did before she left NYPD) it was different. Esposito and Ryan weren't exactly welcoming to both of them. The last scene with them together was great and him giving her the key was so romantic. He waited until she finally settled in in DC and then got an apartment. I thought that was very sweet of Castle and Kate's reaction showed how strong their love for one another is. I wish she could have stayed in D.C. a bit longer, but Kate is about doing the right thing. With Secretary of Defense Reed getting away with what he did and the fact that she had to look the other way was wrong to her and I think Kate did the right thing by leaking out what she did to the press. She is honest and I love that about her.

Pi just seems so wrong for Alexis. While he may come across as nice, I don't care for him. He's lazy and I think Alexis can do better than him.
