  1. I read some comments from our friends from the North that they didn't particularly like this ep but I really did...particularly Beckett screaming when the "mouth" bit Castle's hand...hilarious even though you knew it was coming after watching the sneak peek.

  2. Weakest ep so far. Though I did enjoy the Alexis/Castle stuff.

  3. As someone who devoured "The Da Vinci Code" and loves adventures films like Indiana Jones, I found the week case great and that´s what made the episode for me; so, yes, I liked the episode (liked the previous 5 more, but doesn´t mean I found this one bad).
Alexis?! Let´s say for me Castle´s behaviour in her and Pi´s home was as disrespectful as Pi´s in his; he was making a face and depreciating everything and I it was my father doing that I would feel a bit humiliated and hurted. And she had a point about knowing the engagment from her grams and trough the phone. BUT the way she treated her father at the end? Letting him in theallway? A father who always had the closest of the relationships with her? And compare his relationship with a person he knows for more than 5 years and is dating for more tha 1 to HER relationship with a guy she knows for wht, 2 months?! IMO, she lost any reason she could have and was being a spoled brat!

  4. I think Castle can't be ALWAYS in the wrong when it comes to his relationship with Alexis or Beckett, that's just ridiculous, writers...

  5. Alexis was right in a way, but I hate how disrespectful she was. It was a great episode, though!

I have the very sad feelings that the root of this whole Alexis-Pi fiasco is in that Andrew Marlowe sincerely thought that Pi is funny. I mean he was intended to annoy Castle, but entertain the audience. I can't imagine any other reason why was he pushed into our face so heavily without even the slightest effort to show some merits of him? Were he really funny the viewers could accept more Alexis' feelings towards him and her insistance to defend him against her father.

The good intentions however don't make the result any more bearable - it's a true shame that they turned the refreshingly honest and open Castle-Alexis relationship into the cliché heap of the "bratty teenager with wounded and clueless dad" scenario.

  7. I found the case great. However the macGuffins were a bit weak. The cousin as the murderer was telegraphed way too early.

As a fan of Dan Brown and any mystery quest I loved the case (though fast in resolving but understable in a 60' ep.) as usual the ep was funny and I'm eager to see how the writer will ease the tense and even bring back Alexis and Castle together and get rid of Pi.. :D

  9. It might just be me, but I hate the way they have turned Alexis' character. Castle and Alexis have always had such a great relationship and the writers have taken that away with this stupid Pi character. Alexis came off as a complete *itch last night. It takes a lot for someone to admit they are wrong and apologize and for her to behave so coldly was just not the Alexis we all know. Get rid of Pi...I hate that character.

  10. The episode was good. Didnt care for Alexis' attitude at all. Rick has a right to feel the way he does since Alexis has only known Pi for a month or two. Rick has known Kate for five years (big difference). Alexis was a snot. At least Rick apologized. He made an effort. Frankly, Pi is a bum. Time heals all wounds and they will both come to terms with one another.

I missed our Caskett moments last night.

I enjoyed the reference to Roman Holiday when Rick stuck his hand in the mouth and screamed like Gregory Peck did. That was cute.

  11. I love Castle, the episode was fun but they've done similar episodes that were better. I like the continuation of how it is both real and a game, kind of like they explained they weren't really time travelers/but yet they might be in the last episode. I am getting tired of all the Alexis backlash. I am more focused on Caskett and don't care that much about Alexis one way or another, but still I think it's a bit unfair. Perhaps she is being a bit "disrespectful" of her father but he has always said she was the responsible one and pushed her to be less responsible. Now she is saying I am a responsible adult and I am choosing to move out with this guy with my money, for better or worse, and he is questioning her over this. Unfair of Castle no? Maybe it is the wrong choice and Pi is a loser, but she will have to figure that out on her own. Which is what Beckett keeps trying to hint at. Most young women make a mistake with a guy who is not right for him at some point or another, Alexis is not unique in this aspect. Also I know a lot of people were buttsore about the comment she made about not knowing if Beckett was the one? But remember we see Caskett, she is a character who is not in the precinct and has a limited view of their relationship. She does not see what we the audience see, at least not all of it. Marlowe needed to add some conflict with the Alexis as a character, needed to give her something to do this season and needed to allow her to grow. Having her first riff with her father, first experience on her own, first serious boyfriend... all growth opportunities.

  12. It was Indiana Jones meets The Da Vinci Code meets National Treasure (I giggled when Beckett said that) I loved it.
