I liked it, but I didn't love it this time, I start feeling a little desperate with the Vincent's memory issue, I mean, he's smart enough to figure out that something is wrong with his life, how come that it hasn't occured him that if everybody who was in his life before his "recruitment" is telling him that he was running and hidding is because he didn't want to be they way he is, besides why has he never thought, why was it necessary to wipe out his memory, what was the matter??, and in Cat's side is even more desperating, why she hasn't told him "HEY, these people you're now proudly working for, grabbed you in a net in order to have you working for them, I don't know, maybe I'm misunderstanding but that's the way I feel.
It was a great and very touching episode. I loved the 911 memorial, very well done. The guest star , Brian Eckhart playing Aaron Keller was very good. I loved that Vincent regained more memories, and the action inn the fire scenes was really good. Cat & Tess scenes were hilarious, and the touch on romance was awesome once again! This episode once again proved how diverse BATB is,- action, suspense, tragedy, romance, comedy- all in one . This is a great series!!
I understand what you are saying Jazzy, but I would like to think that when Vincent was "brainwashed", it was done so that anything that isn't told to him by the "brainwashers" would seem questionable. And that his memories erased have been done for his own benefit. I hope we do get to see how they did this?
I think its sad that the main female of this show, who was a smart, caring cop, now has nothing better to do, and her friends ride her coattails, then to chase her boyfriend around and that is it. they don't work cases anymore and instead wait for Vincent to remember something or get in a sitch and forcefully help or preen around. add that to all the other changes and cast shedding and I can see why the show is struggling.
Yeah me too, and now that I think about it, that would be a very good way for Vincent to wake up, imagine if he remembers the procedure!!, he would kill them all!!.
Getting a glimpse into Vincent' s background was a nice touch. Would iike to see Cat and Tess still be detectives. They should have become private investigators.
Loved it! This season just keeps getting better and better! As for all the questions some of you might have, I think all will be answered in due course. Ot's a tv show with 22 episodes. If all our questions were answered in one episode, what do we do with the remaining episodes? ;)
I loved this episode! It had everything! Developing relationships, humour from Tess as much action as anyone could want, sweet VinCat moments to warm the heart and Jay Ryan working out in a singlet! What more could a Beastie want? We got more with the inclusion of hottie Bryan Dechart as Vincent's nephew and a respectful ending honouring the first responders at the twin towers site. Totally spellbinding!
Brilliant episode! Loved it. The tribute to 9/11 was perfect & touching while incorporating the storyline of Vincent's brothers! As always we see what exceptional actors, writers and crew we have on this show!!
I don't know, maybe she is working some cases and we just don't see it. The procedural is gone now so for them to focus on that too much would take up valuable time, when they can just reference to cases. (Personally I don't care about the procedural aspect at all.) Besides, I'm enjoying the focus more on Vincent. What's he doing, who's he talking to, what are his struggles and how is he coping? Last season was all about Cat, I like the idea of having a season about Vincent. But that's probably wishful thinking.... :)
Very true. What fun would it be if we got what we wanted right away and knew all the answers? With the exception to VinCat. I want them back together ASAP!! :)
Wow, I found the episode to be way beyond Awesome it was just sooo amazing, we got a glimpse of Vincent's past and what a past it was, he comes from a long line of good looking guys, I'm going to go out there and say that was the best episode to date, and that to me is something else, cause I've loved every episode, it was beautifully done!!! Great tribute to 911 again, Wow!!!
I thought it was a great episode. I loved the progress between Catherine and Vincent. Finally talking openly and honestly again!! YAY! And the kiss was perfectly timed and very appropriate for the moment. I can see the old Vincent emerging more with each episode. The beast was pretty cool in this episode! Excellent special effects!! I really enjoyed Aaron’s character and what he brought to the episode. His presence really helped the storyline along and watching V save him reminded me who V really is. Not the beast with no emotional ties that he is right now. I REALLY, really hope we will see Aaron again but this time with a reunion between him and Vincent. He’d make a great addition to the cast. And, WOW! beautiful ending!
Fantastic episode, loved it! Action, intrigue, humour and romance - it had it all! I've even managed to get my husband on board, watching this season with me and he's enjoying it too!
Thank you Spoiler for providing the opportunity for beasties to interact and share their opnions about the show! We love the polls, the lists, the reviews, the extras you have! You are helping to grow our FANmily and we appreciate it so much! Excellent episode last night, the writing was quick, funny and so much to watch and learn. Just gets better and better!
I see your point. He is a smart guy and he is starting to question Bob, thankfully! :) But other than JT showing him a picture of them, nobody else can prove they aren’t lying about being in his life prior to meeting him when they tranqued him. Cat has no pictures, only stories to tell that could easily be fabricated with nothing to confirm what she’s telling him, not even his own memories. There’s no family around (until just now) Gabe nor Tess have any proof of knowing him before so I think it’s reasonable for him to question if they are telling the truth. His programming probably has him set to assume anyone other than Bob is lying and to trust Bob automatically without question. I wouldn’t want to be Bob once Vincent is free of his programming! Run Bob! R U N!!! ....No. Scratch that. It’s ok Bob, Vincent won’t hurt you....bwahahaha!!! :)
I think the memories and the old V will be back around ep8. Though I hope V keeps his confidence, cause that’s hot! Vincent 2.5! (Vincent 3.0 can be for season 3!!) :D
The writers hit it out of the park in this episode. Each episode gets better and better this season. This episode had everything, action, comedy, struggles, compation, true love. The only thing is there was no JT, missed him. The best part was the relaxed relationship and compasion between Cat and Vin. Absolutly loved this episode, amazing.
911 scene was sweet when he reached down and took her hand. Missed JT. Glad to see some male bonding next week. Each show is better than the last. Be sure to vote on the People's Choice Awards 2014 site many times until the 31st.
Fave ep of Season 2 so far ~ loved the wonderful Vincent and Cat moments at the hospital, the kiss and the ending which bring back glimpses of the loving relationship they had in Season 1. Also learning about Vincent's past and how the writers turned it into a tribute to 9/11 is just so meaningful and heartwarming which is what I love most about BATB. 11/10. A+wesome.
HotHead was way more than the word Awesome can describe. From Catherine kicking butt in the bar scene (you rocked it KK) to Jay Ryan's protayal of Vincent as he was regaining painful memories of his past to the very emotional and beautiful scene at the 911 memorial with Catherine and Vincent where they paid tribute to Vincent's brothers who died in 911. HotHead is one of the best episodes of season 2.
Really enjoyed Hothead - loved finding out a bit about Vincent's past and looking forward to the next one where we find out a bit about Catherine's past. Thought the ending of Hothead, especially the fact that it was around the 9/11 memorial, was a nice touch.
Well you're right, nobody has proofs of anything, I forgot that... I guess I overreact last night... still, I would like him to be a little more aggressive with Bob.
He has been told he joined forces to eliminate the rogues - he didn't do it willingly to our knowledge Claudia, If someone were to be able to erase someone's memories, they would also, in turn, plant memories and suggestions that everything he is doing he is doing voluntarily, were that may not be the case. But like I said, who knows what the writers will come up with to explain Vincent working with Catherine's dad. I guess we only have a few more episodes to wait and we find out :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Who voted awful?

ReplyDeleteAgreed! Tess did great but there is nothing like a JT scene and I really missed him last night!

But do you realize he joined forces to eliminate Muirfield and all the beasts gone Rogue so he is actually on a vengeance mission
ReplyDeleteIncredible show. The 9/11 tribute at the end was wonderful. Getting a glimpse into Vincent's past/family also another great moment. Love this show! :)

ReplyDeleteNow you confused me even more, so Cat's dad wasn't working for Muirfield??, he used one of Muirfield's beasts to destroy the organization??.
ReplyDeleteWell you're right, nobody has proofs of anything, I forgot that... I guess I overreact last night... still, I would like him to be a little more aggressive with Bob.
ReplyDeleteNot directly with Muirfield, he was an FBI division (secret) working with Muirfield now he has to eliminate everyone including M.
ReplyDeleteI personally would LOVE to see V give Bob what he has coming to him. :) That will be VERY satisfying. The more aggressive, the better. :D
ReplyDeleteHe has been told he joined forces to eliminate the rogues - he didn't do it willingly to our knowledge Claudia, If someone were to be able to erase someone's memories, they would also, in turn, plant memories and suggestions that everything he is doing he is doing voluntarily, were that may not be the case.
