This episode just shows how fucked up this show can get. Although, the incest was a little too much for me. Still loved everything else!
I will forever be laughing at LaLaurie's reaction to Obama being the president. That was amazing. Still trying to pick up my jaw after I saw Madison get slashed in the throat. Ugh, I was starting to love her character.
I really hope there aren't any more witch deaths this season because I am already attached to them but I doubt it.
I'm still like OMG, what did I just watch. I can't believe they went there. I don't know how they are going to top this ep. I hope Madison isn't fully dead. Everything about this ep was epic, the incest was gross, but I can't believe they took it that far. And the stuff with Queenie. I'm wondering how they will end this season. It's probably going to be big.
Particularly disturbing episode. Kyle's mom was gross. I can't wait for Lily Rabe to join the coven. I'm wondering if, now that Madison's dead, another young Supreme will rise or if she herself will rise from the dead (guessing the latter since in the trailer they show a hand comming out of the ground).
Loved it again!!, everything makes perfect sense, I know incest is gross and terrible but now I understand why Kyle fought so hard to "defend" Madison that night, he was living a similar abuse, it was a shame he didn't do the same to his piece of shit mother when he was actually alive. I didn't understand why Queenie did that with the Minotaur, I mean, is she actually that desperate to get laid??. Unbelievable, Fiona made me feel sorry for Madison, now l'll wait for her revenge. I feel really sorry for Misty too. And I'm astonished by Madame... whatever!!, I find the character totally disgusting, but Kathy Bates really ROCK IT!!, she's AMAZING.
It was my favorite episode of the season so far, but man, those scenes with Kyle's mother were very uncomfortable, sooo creepy! I am liking it more now, I am learning to let go of my love for Asylum and try to judge this season sans comparisons. The storylines were quite good this week.
There was so much disturbing stuff in this episode - incest, sodomy and the fertility ritual. Misty Day still creeps me out but in a good way. There is something about her character that just draws you in. Fiona killing Madison didn't surprise, as soon as she showed signs of being the next in line, she was dead. Madison will obviously come back, the question is just how.
I agree, it was the most disturbing episode yet and I did call it that Madison would be dead by the end of the episode, the flashback at the beginning foreshadowed it
I agree, that was the one part of the episode that I didn't like as I didn't understand where it came from at all. It reminded me of why I didn't like and stopped watching season 1. Season 2 was way better because all storylines made sense and there were no scenes like this for shock value. It was just that one so far though, so I am willing to overlook it in what was an otherwise awesome episode, but I definitely wasn't a fan of that scene.
I agree with all the other posters who have been saying that this is both the most disturbing and yet the best episode of the new season so far! I hope we see a lot more of Lily Rabe in the coming weeks, as Misty Day is one of the most interesting characters and I love hearing all the Stevie Nicks songs they're using!
Fiona and Madison's story this week was amazing too, and even though I knew she would end up killing Madison, the way it was executed with the line 'This coven doesn't need a new supreme, it needs a new rug' topping things off was perfect!
The Kyle/his mom incest story was disturbing, as was Queenie and the Minotaur - seriously, who's first reaction when they see a Minotaur is to entice it into having sex with you?!!
I enjoyed Madame LaLaurie as the slave but we didn't really get enough Kathy Bates action this week, so I hope we see a lot more from her too in future, as well as Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett (who's short scene with Cordelia was hypnotic), Denis O'Hare and Patti LuPone. Wow, there's so much acting talent this season!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Like it's gross, but I loved how fucked up and over the top this season is. It's amazing!
ReplyDeletePoor Cordelia. Sucks that she can't have a baby.
LOL at LaLaurie's reaction to Obama being president and hee at Queenie making her a slave.
Poor Madison. That sucks what Fiona did to her. And who played young!Fiona? She looked familiar.
Great episode!

Sex with the minotaur was too much for me...

ReplyDeleteSo is Madison really dead? Emma Roberts is in the main cast and here I thought we'd see her for a bit more.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so - I think she'll be back.
ReplyDeleteYeah I just read articles on the EW and the hint of her return but not what we expect which I think is awesome!

ReplyDeleteI don't think it's Madison - for some reason, I can't shake the feeling that Nan's the next Supreme.
ReplyDeleteWho's Nan?

ReplyDeleteMaybe she starts haunting Fiona. That would be really cool to watch.
ReplyDeleteWell, the show has a necromancer, so I don't think Madison is gone for good. She'll be back.

ReplyDeleteThe Madame as maid was one of the highlights, I agree. I also didn't get the Queenie thing, that part was a bit too much for me
ReplyDeleteI think it could be Zoe. It's sort of obvious but I think it could be.
ReplyDeleteI doubt Madison is dead, she is likely to come back one way or the other.

ReplyDeleteI think you're out of luck in wishing that the deaths cease ahah
ReplyDeleteYeah I really think she will be back
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know but a lot of people are saying that Madison comes back alive! I don't know if that's true or not but we will have to see...
ReplyDeleteI also think she will be around but not too sure about the "alive" part :P
