Go, Cyrus!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I guess that explains HOW Anastasia became the queen.
Oh, that's an interesting explanation for how Anastasia became the way she is!
ReplyDeleteI bet Will blames himself.
This sounds great! Given the "heart" reference, I wonder if Barbara Hershey might make a surprise cameo in this episode. She pretty much has to at some point in the Knave's storyline - he did lose his heart, after all.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to seeing more of Emma Rigby's fantastic acting in this episode. She did an amazing job portraying the contrast between Anastasia and the Red Queen in last week's story, in my opinion.
Interesting, especially since there is no mention of "The Queen of Hearts" (especially since there is a GREAT Cora FTL parallel here), but instead a King! I wonder what he wants with her and what Ana had expected Wonderland to be like?? Are there/were there more than one royal family in Wonderland? Go Cyrus!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes!!XD
ReplyDeleteAnd this deal with Ana it's similar to how Cora ends up with Henry, except it's a little backwards. He is the Knave of HEARTS as well, so there must be a connection there! I'm trying to figure out if there is more than one royal family in Wonderland that can co-exist??
It's most likely similar to the situation in the Enchanted Forest - there are multiple kingdoms within the same realm. However, I believe that following Cora's abrupt departure, the Red Queen stepped in to fill the resulting power vacuum, thus essentially becoming the Queen of all Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteMy theory is that due to the pain of losing Ana, the Knave accepted an extreme solution offered by Cora - giving up his heart - and was then made her right-hand man. Later, he sought Alice's help to regain his heart and fled back to the Enchanted Forest, where he was caught up in the curse (seems to me the curse didn't have much of an effect on Wonderland, for some reason). After Will left her service, the Queen probably took on the Knave we saw in earlier episodes of OUAT; the one played by Paul McGillion.
I'm not sure if he was caught up in the curse because of the flashback from last episode said "a few years ago" and I think 28 + years would be more than a few?....but If I would be right,I'm intrigued because of the Maleficent factor, because if that flashback was curse or the very beginnings of post curse, then Male's "voice" echoing through the woods provides us with another incarnation and/or idea that her essence is split and/or still apart/in touch with FTL.
ReplyDeleteBut I agree with everything else you said. It seems likely that is how it went...
Hmm...yes, I forgot about that reference. I suppose that would have to mean that the Knave arrived in Storybrooke at some point during or shortly after the curse. Interesting...
ReplyDeleteI mean unless a few years is meant to be like over three decades ago? I guess it's hard to say what was meant by that, but I think it's pushing it XD
ReplyDeleteIt's possible that they didn't "count" the 28 years because time was frozen, though they haven't referred to them in that way in the past. The main reason why I assumed the Knave was affected by the curse was because he appeared to have extensive knowledge of our world, which could have come via a set of curse memories.
ReplyDeleteI think your right, because now I remember that Cora had protected FTL during the time of curse so she was already in FTL before the curse and we then assume this is post Quuen of Hearts Wonderland. I just wish the writers would have put "pre-curse" on the flashback to make things a little easier, but I also should have rewatched the second season of OUAT!
ReplyDeleteSo anyways never mind what I said before XD
You could still be right. What they should really make clearer is how far the effects of the curse spread. I mean, apparently it pulled Doctor Frankenstein out of the Land Without Color, and I think someone said somewhere that it affected all the worlds, but I don't see how it changed anything in Wonderland. Apparently, the only way it touched that land was by extracting the Mad Hatter from it, but nothing else seems to have happened there.
ReplyDeleteI think the Mad Hatter was om FTL by that time, because it appears he raised Grace/Page there, as it seems Dr. Whale/Frankenstein and Jefferson must have traveled together before the curse and so perhaps Victor/Whale was in FTL too when the curse hit???
