Well... I didn't expect ABC to put that particular scene as a sneak peek clip! And somehow I doubt it will be a 'one-time' thing. Not by the look on her face. November sweeps are coming...
Omg! "That was"...... hot!! Hopefully it won't be "a one time thing" team capt. swan! I love their chemistry. The look on their faces after! I can't wait til sunday! :D
CBS put the Tony/Ziva kiss in a sneak peek too (sadly that was a one time thing). I don't understand why networks do this. The only people who go looking for sneak peeks are already going to watch the show. Casual viewers who affct the results from week to week won't know about it until it happens.
People who look for these things will be substantially hyped and there's a chance it would spread virally to those who have no idea about it s o MORE people would tune in to see what the whole thing is about.
Its the "hey my friends friend talked about that and that important possibly happening this episode, I HAVE to see it to know for myself" kind of deal.
Yeah, but the online NCIS community knew about Ziva's departure a couple months before the premiere. And yet when her final episodes aired and for the next couple weeks as people realised it wasn't a stunt there were a lot of surprised people who clearly didn't get the message. Internet fandoms are actually quite isolated from the wider population.
I'm going to actually stand aside on this one and watch all the Captain Swan hate come in. I'm also monitoring several websites and at least three tumblr pages. I'm going to prove my theory that Captain Swan haters flock here to Spoilertv more than anywhere else.
Just a cursory glance though, people who like the scene are already getting downvoted to hell. Interesting.
It happens in some form just about everywhere. Tv.com hates everything that isn't The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, for example, and it brings in a ton of people who hate on shows like Revolution.
I usually just come here for TV stuff, so I originally believed that Emma/Hook was universally hated based on the response here, but you appear to be absolutely correct. It's not.
There's not a whole lot to talk about when it comes to the story. You can pretty much sum up an entire episode's worth of story in less than a paragraph. You may find all the ship talk annoying, but I don't think there's as much of anything else to talk about as you apparently think.
I actually find a lot to talk about on this show: character motivations, plot details, certain events. I do it all the time with people I know in real life who also watch the show. We find a lot to talk about that's far more interesting that the romance. If all you find interesting about the show is the ships, that says a lot more about you than it does anyone else.
I'm dreading when Neal reaches them and the show tries to play them as a triangle. So far, Emma/Hook have tons more chemistry and make much more sense.
There is definitely criticism to provide the show with, I myself am far from a fan of Adam and Eddy's vision, but I've never had an issue talking about the plot. It gives a chance for people to share their ideas and get a better handle on some of the events or even a chance for people to vent their frustrations. Even tvline has some pretty intense discussions going on right now. I'm just wary of people trying to make "shipping" the focus of comments in these comment sections. That's what tumblr is known for and we already know what a clusterfuck the OUAT fandom is over there.
I finad I can't enjoy the show if I look too closely at the plot, I have to stand back and just let it wash over me. Kinda like what happens when I read a book when drunk. Sure, I'm reading and maybe I can make out the words, but they won't leave an indelible mark on my mind. I'd be hard pressed to recount anything more than the most basic plot points from seasons one and two.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletebest sneak peek ever!!!
ReplyDeletethis is so terrific ! is it a dream or ?
ReplyDeleteGoing by EW's article, they seem to claim that it is NOT a dream. More like spur-of-the-moment, moment.
ReplyDeleteWhether its truth or not remains to be seen.
Omg! "That was"...... hot!! Hopefully it won't be "a one time thing" team capt. swan! I love their chemistry. The look on their faces after! I can't wait til sunday! :D
ReplyDeleteThank yoy I was not sure about that :)
ReplyDeletemy favourite part was the end when she said that would never happen again.

ReplyDeletebuzz.

ReplyDeleteWas I the only one who found it awkward? Don't get me wrong, happy for the cs shippers, but...
ReplyDeleteme 2! i feel like she acted a bit...strange.
ReplyDeleteWhich, if you have seen ANY tv shows at all, means "it will happen again". :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too!
ReplyDeleteI mean, I like these two. As a friends. Sure. As a couple. Maybe. But for now, in this context, it just felt really awkward.

I've noticed the same thing. It's mostly here that haters come to hate on CS!

ReplyDeleteIt's actually very popular on tumblr :)
ReplyDeleteAs long as you don't count the ships that will never happen (Swan Queen) Captain Swan is one of the more popular ones.
ReplyDeleteThat kiss was longer than they put it out to be! But I do ship Captain Swan
ReplyDeleteEhhhh, not necessarily ;D
ReplyDeleteI just say WOW.
ReplyDeleteCome on guys, even if you hate Captain Swan even you must admit that's a pretty good TV kiss.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good TV kiss!
ReplyDeleteIt was certainly more intense than I was expecting it to be. Definitely lust on both sides.
ReplyDeletelol even Hook looks surprised !
ReplyDeleteWhat worries me is that the sneak peek appears to spoil that Hook is able to save David from the poison, unless I misheard.
ReplyDeleteIf that was really their last kiss she would not have said it in such a flirty tone. It's gonna happen again.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think that a group of about seven or 8 haters came through. Because one minute scores were level and the next everyone's down 7.
ReplyDeleteYes, he apparently saves David. But not necessarily cures him of his poisoning. Neverland's meant to be dangerous, right?
ReplyDeleteHello. Can anyone tell me the last words uttered by Emma please. I do not understand very well and my English is poor. thank you :)
ReplyDeleteEmma: "Don't follow me. Wait five minutes. Go get some firewood or something"
ReplyDeleteHook: "As you wish"
Thank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteno problem :)
ReplyDeleteaugh! Emma?!?! I expected Snow to walk in or something. Be like "Emma!"
ReplyDeleteIf you planned on standing back and observing, why do you feel the need to comment and let us know? Just wondering.

ReplyDeleteIs that a Princess Bride reference?! ("As you wish")

ReplyDelete"As you wish"....what a great Princess Bride reference!
ReplyDeleteGood catch. I totally missed that.
ReplyDeleteI'm dreading when Neal reaches them and the show tries to play them as a triangle. So far, Emma/Hook have tons more chemistry and make much more sense.
I'm more interested in seeing how Hook saved Charming's life.
ReplyDeleteThat kiss was hot
ReplyDeleteTalking about plot is hard with this show because it's so illogical and if you try and pay attention to it, the whole thing makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely criticism to provide the show with, I myself am far from a fan of Adam and Eddy's vision, but I've never had an issue talking about the plot.
