It’s hard to believe that less than one year has passed since the storm which transformed the lives of our orange jumpsuited gang of Misfits, but it looks like they are going to have to up their game considerably if they're going to tackle some real life A-grade superpowered vigilantes once the anniversary comes around later in Series 5.
We are given a brief glimpse of how they may transform themselves thanks to one of the members of the Powers Support Group that Rudy 2 joins, she knits him a cutesy jumper that she claims shows the future. This mysterious new support group meet deep in the heart of the estate and is a safe haven for people struggling with their super powers. Other members include a man trapped in a turtle’s body, whom I’m assuming we will see more of later in the series, and someone familiar to long time viewers who we last saw in Series 2.
Elsewhere in this opening episode Alex wakes up after surgery to discover that he has a new (and rather ironic considering what he went through last series) superpower which he is less than enthusiastic to try out at first, especially as is trying hard to convince Jess that he’s changed. However reluctant he is to try it out for the first time is nothing to what he has to do later to save the day though!
