Tuesday is now CW's best night of the week ratings wise.
I expect the CW to be announcing a full season order for TO asap its ratings are steadily good. I think maybe they'll wait to see how Reign and TTP do over the next week or two before they order full seasons and then announce the news all together?
It looks like they will have at least 4 decently rated shows next season (TVD, SPN, Arrow, TO) which they can use to sure up Monday-Thursday.
Mark Pedowitz is doing a great job of turning the CW around when it barely had any life in it when he came aboard. A TV night without anything going below 1.0 is pretty stellar. The CW is looking even better for next season with the spin-off potential and 4 decently rated shows to anchor the new ones.
How has The Originals not yet been picked up for a full season ? I blame Reign for that, they pushed so much effort into this show that they rather wait for it and let other shows flow aside while waiting for Reign to pull in acceptable numbers.
You're a little more optimistic than me. I see it all as a trade-off. They may have shored up their Tuesday lineup but Monday has turned into an epic tailspin and their Friday offerings are hardly worth a mention either.
last season Monday/Tuesday and Fridays were in trouble. Now it's just Mondays and Fridays. I call this an achievement. Dawn ran the network to the ground (Mon/Tue/Wed and Fri were all bad, the only good night was Thursday) now there are only two bad nights.
I think they're waiting to see if TTP and Reign stabilise, if they continue to drop then there may be a possibility that they replace both with their two mid season shows waiting in the wings?
I think the tomorrow people would have to drop quite some more before it is replaced by a mid-season show. A 0.7 is very acceptable when you have shows pulling 0.3s and 0.4s every single week.
I agree with this. Monday this season is no worse than Mondays last season. There is a good chance that we could be looking at all 4 solid nights on the weekdays next year (the only thing I disagree was fridays not being solid back then, I think the smallville and supernatural combo was pretty solid there)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Great for TO and less bad for POI!

ReplyDeletei hope your wrong because the originals and tomorrow people should be picked up/ renewed before reign.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see that The Originals ticked up in the finals to rebound from last week's demo drop.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping Trophy Wife can be saved..
ReplyDeleteLast night's episode was the best so far!
Awesome for The Originals and Supernatural! CW must be pleased with those numbers.
ReplyDeleteWas hoping Person of Interest would at least score a 2.0. Oh well, I'm still happy with the numbers it got.
