    Because now that Prentiss is gone Morgan needs a new partner and Alex has history with Reid and now that JJ is a profiler she can team up with him I guess.

    I can understand that. Even though I love the show, the one thing that I like about CM is that the group would rotate/switch around with doing different tasks for each case of the week. These days, it's always JJ and Morgan and everyone else is playing a supportive role. I think for a while, Alex wasn't getting enough screen time (except the episodes about her husband returning and the Replicator/Season 8 finale). Even when Emily came back in Season 7, her and Derek weren't paired...only like 2-3 episodes.
    I would like to see the rest of the cast (like I said before) like Hotch, Rossi, Reid and Alex to contribute more.

    Why do Morgan and JJ get partnered for every episode?

    It was great seeing Alex and Reid involved this week. Hope to see more Hotch, Rossi and Alex involvement this season.
