January? Seriously? You cancel a comedy on Thursday and are still waiting until January?
ReplyDeleteThank god Parks and Rec isn't going up against Big Bang Theory come January.
ReplyDeletedoes this mean they'll show the welcome to the family episodes until then?
ReplyDeleteI hate that we have to wait so long for it, but at least we have an official return date for it! Six seasons and a movie!
ReplyDeleteWhy does NBC hate Community? Thursday against TBBT come on!
ReplyDeleteCommunity has always been up against Big Bang Theory since the beginning. This isn't new.
ReplyDeleteNBC always seems to do what it can to screw with Community, yet they keep renewing it and putting it against TBBT because it maintains steady ratings. Albeit low ratings, but unlike most things at NBC, they remain at relatively the same level.
ReplyDeleteWTTF just got cancelled
ReplyDeletethat's why I'm asking. I mean what are they going to air in that timeslot until january? the remaining, already produced/filmed episodes of wttf?
ReplyDeleteMaybe, it wasn't confirmed that it was pulled from the schedule, so they might. We'll just have to wait & see.
ReplyDeleteBooya! I knew that buying a Troy & Abed mug + a Greendale Community College hoodie at the NBC store would pay off !
ReplyDeleteI also bought a Ron Swanson's Pyramid of Greatness T-shirt so I expect a Parks & Rec season 7 renewal too.
I was expecting a November premiere, though, but I'm too happy to really complain about that.
Besides, starting with 2 episodes on January 2 still leaves plenty of room for a back order :). Perhaps 6 episodes (e.g : Chuck season 3), hopefully 9 episodes (30 Rock did air 22 episodes from Jan 12, 2012 to May 17, 2012, with 3 one-hour episodes in that 6th season).
Though there are the Olympics in February, I don't know how NBC is going to program their shows around that. If there is nothing but that on the air every goddamn night, that will mean a 3-week hiatus for everything... hmm, still leaves room for a back order... at least 3 episodes would be great : this way, Parks & Rec wouldn't be the only NBC comedy to hit 100 episodes this season :).
It has been pulled from schedule.
ReplyDeleteFrom the press release: " ‘Welcome to the Family’ and ‘Ironside’ Will Be Taken Off the Schedule"
If they premiered it now, people would complain that they didn't advertise it properly when it gets super low ratings. Which it will, despite being awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe Voice vs TBBT
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the press release, oops.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that community will be back :) But I am surprised they won't slide Chicago PD to Tuesdays, it would seem a safer bet. Anyway, I will take anything that makes Revolution's chances slightly better and I think this does (just a tiny bit)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE Community but I doubt it will get much better ratings by waiting for January anyway. I would rather have 5 or so extra episodes and have it premiere earlier. But that's just me as a fan, I understand where NBC is coming from.
ReplyDeleteI think it was unrealistic to expect anything different at this point to be honest.
ReplyDeleteI know but NBC's sabotaging of own shows pisses me off.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be nice if they had Chicago PD and Fire back to back!
ReplyDeleteI would think that The Voice-Chicago PD-Chicago Fire would make for a solid plan. But they probably wanted 1)To avoid having it go directly against NCIS LA and 2)Invest in some comedies outside of thursdays
ReplyDeleteI agree, I don't think the voice can come out on top of that. It's interesting (and probably also stupid) that they are willing to damage the voice just to prop up sean hayes and michael j fox when those comedies appear to be beyond saving
