Severide brings his suspicions about Hadley being the arsonist to Chief Boden, wishes to get his blessing before getting Hadley investigated. Chief Boden finds it incredulous that Hadley would do such a thing, but lets Severide and his father, Benny, persuade him anyway.
Shay accidentally lets the cat out of the bag about Hadley to the crew at the firehouse. You know this can’t be good if you have a snitch in the house. And yes, it is not good. Gail McLeod pops out of nowhere and drops by the Chief’s office. She tells Chief Boden that he shouldn’t have let Hadley go without filing agreements with human resources. She also says that if one of his former firefighter is setting fire all over town, it does not flatter the Chief’s leadership capabilities. With that, she saunters out of the room.
Hermann is pissed that things happening in 51 is getting out and threatens Clark indirectly, saying that they will discover who the snitch is soon enough. They almost got into a fight just when Hadley drops by the station. It’s tense. Saved by the bell, it seems, as the crew responds to a call.
While 51 is being called out to a burning building, they spot Hadley on the sidewalk watching them do their job. Severide loses his cool and grabs Hadley, telling him he knows Hadley’s the one causing all these fires. However, Hadley was at the station when they got the call. But Severide is not buying it.
I’m diggin’ Casa Shayveride 2.0. I love huge windows. Severide and Shay found an apartment and the guys at 51 are fighting over the third bedroom. In the end Otis gets it without much competition from Mouch and Cruz.
Casey is having a hard time taking care of the boys. While on shift, he gets a call from the principal and finds out that Griffin had been in a fight. Dawson shows up as his faux girlfriend and convinces the principal that they will take better care of the kids.
Dawson’s love life seems to be on track, until she finds out that the mystery guy, Jay, works for Arthur(Molly’s silent partner). Mills is getting friendly with Mouch's campaign consultant, Isabella, who happens to be Dawson's friend too. But it's cool. Dawson told Isabella she doesn't mind.
So what do you guys think about this week’s episode? It might sound weird but I like episodes where they deal not only with fire emergencies. It’s nice to see Severide trying to save a guy trapped in his car, underwater, although the guy did not make it.
Let me know what you guys think about the episode!
