  1. So I might be a bit biased since Alexis is my least favorite character but all this screen time she's been having ... why can't they use some of it to dig deeper on Lanie or Gates? We don't know much about them at all!!! While we know too much about Alexis. Not really that excited for this.

  2. I totally agree with you. At times, Alexis can be annoying and bratty and this story line with Pi isn't helping (plus we know enough about her background, family and interests). But yes, I would would love to see more back story with Lanie or Gates.

  4. I used to be one of the biggest, fans of the dynamic, between Castle and Alexis, but when she showed up with that dude, didn't ask her dad just knew she ran that loft, I lost every manor of respect for her, I just haven't seen the respect and support for her dad, I sure hope this episode redemnn her for me!!

  5. The show is called 'Castle', Alexis is a 'Castle'. I think it's pretty self explanatory why they're basing a storyline on her. Her character has come a very long way, and it is just as important to explore the goings on in her life, as it is in Castle's life. Yes, we may not agree with what Alexis is doing with her life, and we may not like Pi, but it isn't our decision to make. Just in the same way that it isn't Castle's place to deny her the mistakes that go with growing up, it's not our place to fret and complain about a character that very well may become integral in the story of our characters. It is not fair, as viewers of this story, to try to rewrite it. How often do you scribble out paragraphs of a book because you don't like it? I'm guessing not very often. The important thing is, that we focus on the parts that we find important, and enjoy the writing of the show for the reasons we became addicted to it in the first place.

  6. I totally get you. I know a lot of people are excited for this but I just can't be. I don't like Alexis, especially this season, and so far she's been in every episode. So having an entire episode centered around her is not good news to me. Plus, by the way it's presented in the press release, it seems like it's going to be Beckett light and I'm not a big fan of that. The only thing I can hope for is some good Beckett/Alexis interaction.

I also agree about Lanie and Gates. I really love these characters and would like to know more about them.

  7. I'm really hoping this episode will bring back some of that endearing
side of Alexis we haven't seen in a while. After all, seeing Castle
with his daughter was what first hooked loads of viewers on this show!
Some really good father-daughter interaction, (with Alexis turning to her father for help, instead of ignoring his advice!), and hopefully a little Alexis-Beckett interaction too, might be just what we need. I'm looking forward to it!

  8. I've always loved their interactions and although i may be a little worried about what's happening with Pi, I'm not hating on this whole new thing like most of people out there seem to. I do believe the writers know what they're doing so i'm not judging without knowing the whole picture. Besides, this change in Alexis is not much ooc in my opinion, we seem to forget she was kidnapped not long ago and that has to change you, whether you like it or not. And I also hope this episode brings us some good talk between them about Beckett and the fact that Castle didn't tell her about her engagement but Martha!

  9. Yeah, I honestly don't mind Pi. He's enough like people I know that I mostly just find him pretty funny. What's bugged me is how Alexis -- always so bright, devoted, and so incredibly thoughtful -- has been acting increasingly foolish, selfish and spoiled lately. I'm very much hoping she'll snap out of it very soon! But I'm with you: the writers know what they're about. They'll sort it all out in due time!
