  1. Doesn't seem to be a poll for this weeks episode so I am going to talk about it here because what a fantastic hour of TV that was. Poor tragic Eddie and poor Frank who I had grown to really like in such a short time. I've been waiting for the Willie plot to mean something and now Nucky is involved his nephew is no doubt on the path of bad bad things.

Gillian to my surprise has become one of my favourite characters, maybe its because she is the only regular female character but I feel so sad for her and yet disgusted at the same time.

  2. I'll Follow Lou's example:

I'm actually getting a little annoyed at the moment, since there are now about 4 more allusions Jimmy yet again (Henry Gains, Willie Thomson, Clayton (*Philadelphia), and Eddy Kessler), including Eddy's suicide.

Even though I really like the way they have been using literary references and whimsical names like great novels, I'm at a point where I either need a turn around for some of these characters or need the series to make it's final march, because the dead horse has been beaten and beaten and beaten to death a million times over.

  3. Willie and Eddy are parallels to both Jimmy and Nucky, as Willie killed Henry "Gains" ( The pretty and popular aspect of Jimmy) while now being placed in Jimmy Role (under Nucky's wing, similar 'help you get out of jail' scenes + parallel to an allusion to Jimmy from last season 'boy in the basement') and Eddy who left his family behind with his mistress (sold lingerie = juxtaposition to Margret) and who committed suicide, which is a juxtaposition to Jimmy's death, as they both let themselves die, but Eddy did not "face" Nucky.

Gretchen Mole is doing a great job, but I'm ready for characters to turn around and stop being so 'living dead'...
