  2. Felicity is older than the actress playing her, not often that happens

  3. Dang, spoilers much for Slade's background. I mean, we all knew that but still!

  4. I always figured she was around that age, considering the position she was in.

  5. Im glad Roy is not 17 or 18 like Thea, Colton looks too older to play a teen now , and too hot of a man to be a boy. Besides I secret ship him with Felicity ha ha.

  6. Ah, yeah, that's a pretty spoilery description, I'm guessing he'll turn villain rather than anti hero just by this description.
Glad to have some ages on these characters- Felicity is about the right age, I would have thought Roy was 20, rather than 22, but I'm ok with it.

  7. Oh no, I was hoping they'd go the Anti-Hero route with Slade.

  8. Did they do these for Season 1?
I don't see any in the Photo Archive, but I do somewhat recall seeing Season 1 comic pictures of some kind.....

  9. Felicity is about right age, Lol what. The actress looks like she should be playing a 16 years old in pony tails, even though she is older than that. I bet they aged her so it wont look so super creepy when sexually teasing the Oliver/Felicity thing, still a bit creepy even.

  10. Me too! Maybe I'm wrong, but that's where it seems to be heading.

  11. I kind of meant it's the right age for her position/what I'm assuming she's accomplished in life. She definitely looks younger (especially without glasses) but not 16! Come on, you need to give her at least 20.

  12. I always find it funny when ages are brought up, because with so many actors in their mid-twenties are playing teenagers people seems to think some actors look much younger than they actually are. For whatever's worth, as someone who actually is in her mid-twenties, the actress looks in her early-twenties, so it's nice to see someone playing her age for a change.

  13. Nice. I was wondering about Slade as I thought that he was a villain of sorts in the comics, I guess this will be his origin story in future eps

  14. Well, for anyone holding out hope that Felicity's feelings toward Oliver were only platonic and more familial than anything else, this puts the final nail in that "just friends" coffin.

  15. No people were saying they should remain platonic not that she does't have romantic feelings for him. Her crush on Oliver was obvious, and Arrow isn't exactly known for its original writing, so it was a given.

Of course expecting the 2 to remain platonic, is also pointlesss, considering how much CW loves to cater to popular fanbases, and these writers are straight from amateur school.

  16. While I understand the averse reaction some people have to the evolution of the relationship these two characters have, cracks about the shows originality are woefully obtuse and claims of an amateurish production are simply unfounded.

People seem to love to create their own truths about a TV show when something occurs that they don't like but not liking something does not mean the quality isn't there. It simply means that someone doesn't like it and I'd much rather see someone state that negative opinion directly rather than pretending that a program is inherently flawed simply because a viewer's preferences differ from other viewers and the show itself.

  17. No they didn't do any character profiles for last season but they use to do a comic book panel preview for every episode last season, maybe that's what you remember.

  18. Emily just turned just turned 22 in real life during the summer.

  19. I did find a few from 2012..
Oliver Queen, Tommy Merlyn and Quentin Lance.

  20. I must of missed those...

  21. Felicity's feelings towards Oliver were never platonic. Even in her first episode, she appeared to have a crush on the sexy scion of the company.

Last season, Felicity generated more positive buzz than all the other non-Oliver characters put together with the possible exceptions of Diggle and Malcolm Merlyn. Whereas once TV shows could rely on just the action plot (e.g. original Law & Order), now if they want longevity it has to be about the characters' personal lives as well (L&O:SVU and even CSI now).

It's possible that Felicity and Oliver will end up being "just friends" in the end but the show runners would be remiss not to explore their relationship further, especially given the massive fail of Oliver/Laurel so far.
