Looks good. - They gave us the "meet the cast / setup" portion of the show instead of spoiling the good stuff, which I appreciate. - Why did they have to cast Minka Kelly? There are so many better options out there. I can already tell she sticks out like a sore thumb on this show. They could have just re-teamed Karl Urban with Olivia Thirlby from Dredd and I would have been fine with it. - I'm glad they introduced a mystery element right away instead of sitting on it. - The dialogue from the supporting characters could have been a little snappier. Mackenzie Crook (Rudy) had some decent lines though. - Visually, the show looks great. I hope the budget can sustain it. - Using the song "Personal Jesus" to introduce us a character who is responsible for bringing these synthetics to life is both hilarious and creepy at the same time.
I am looking forward to this show a lot but I am skipping this for now. I don't like to go to the pilots having seen too much of it because then I inevitably feel let down. I'd rather wait I think.
Geo-blocked again. PLEASE, put a warning in your tweets when something is US only. I know that the 'net business is all about drawing people to your web site but this is quite annoying for anyone outside the US.
Like how we just jump in with the mystery of The Syndicate and "programmable DNA" (kind of like The Observers, I suspect the cases of the week might also center around subjects relating to Dorian's creation)
The MX-43's are so going to continually be disposable! XD
Really like Crook's Lom character. Love the parallels that both characters were in coma/stasis state.
Although this section is not that action heavy, I like the display of emotions between characters here. VERY well acted and nicely filmed. It feels like a good cast already.

If that becomes a running gag on the show where Kennex is repeatedly dragged into his boss' office and chewed out for being reckless and destructive with the 43s I would love it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Stupid Hulu. Doesn't work in Brazil.

This looks good. I guess I'll watch this, tape The Voice and catch HIMYM OnDemand. Mondays just got more crowded.

ReplyDeleteDoes not look very good to be honest. But as a huge fan of Fringe, I will be sure to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping she's a mole in the police department who they hunt down and neutralize by the end of the season. :)
