I think that's the first time Reese has been that dark since before meeting Finch.
ReplyDelete30 seconds is probably about right. Could be interesting to watch though.
The Tomorrow People's storylines are quite cool, but they need more action if they're gonna keep viewers interested. Arrow's storylines weren't always great at the start but they had so much action it was impossible to dislike. Having more action allows for the possiblility of the storyline waning in it's ability to interest viewers.
Yeah. Just his puppy eyes and you really can see that he dislike whatever he did (and we will know soon I hope) I really love this kind of charas. I love how he always is like "No I don't help you" and in the end he always safes the situation.
ReplyDeleteLOL at Sheldon comment.
ReplyDeleteElementary : I hope we'll see Laura Benanti again
ReplyDeleteNCIS LA : 100 th episode disappoint me
Sleepy Hollow : I really like this new show
Many people are being creative with (read...ignoring) the 7 word per show limit this week. It's like a more restrictive Twitter, so people seem to be having a harder time ..... or....
ReplyDelete7-Word Reviews - Not always easy to stay within limit
Amen to Arrow. She annoys me already (sorry Laurel)
ReplyDeletePoI - Shaw growing on me...a little bit.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy that he makes a lot of sense and I already feel sorry that such a potentially good character is going to be saddled with another annoying love triangle as well as overshadowed by "The Chosen One." Urgh!
ReplyDeleteOH YES, thank goodness White Collar IS back. Last season was so very slow.
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead: Crazy falling zombies!
ReplyDeleteBATB:Reinvigorated Action. Achingly Romantic. Unexpected Twists.
Do you think that PoI is deliberately trying to make itself more dark and edgy? It feels like along with the increased role for recurring characters that it is shooting for a tonal change as well to me. Not being able to stop the deaths and actively encouraging people to kill each other seems like they are shifting in a different direciton slightly.
ReplyDeleteI contend that the police completely surrounding Oliver is a very poor plan. It's not like they can take a chance at shooting him since they are likely to shoot each other as well. All Oliver needs to do is turn off the lights, smoke bomb arrow them, and scurry up.
Tomorrow People is disappointing me with the love triangle and super special Chosen One theme. If it had more action to distract me, I could get over the bumps a little better. I agree that Arrow started rocky but the stunts were fantastic. They tided me over until the story could catch up. I would like to see TTP emulate this as well, especially since the stunt scenes they do have been great so far.
Arrow - The writers aren't doing Laurel any favors.
ReplyDeleteLove the Neal vs Dutchman dynamics already!
ReplyDeleteSheldon regressing from funny to annoying (sigh)
ReplyDeleteElementary - Agreed; she was smashing, need more backstory
ReplyDeleteSleepy Hollow - Still my favorite new show; nothing close
Totally agree. Do keep in mind that it airs an hour later this year.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I think the whole point of this isn't to capture Oliver, instead to give a warning to him (and to us) that Laurel is a COMPLETELY changed person in regards to the vigilante.
The love triangle is weird. John doesn't seem to notice that Stephen might be a threat to whatever is going on between him and Cara. They should do away with it, since he already has enough problems working with Stephen. The Chosen One theme is alright, but them continually mentioning it AND using it as a reason to trust Stephen is what's annoying me. Yes, we know he's the chosen one. You don't need to tell us 10 times an episode. Stunt scenes have the potential to be superb. Since they have the power to teleport, fight/chase scenes can be much different than that in a normal show. They need to utilise this quality more.
TTP: Don't know how much Julie Plec is involved with the show, but I see her name listed. Could be where the triangle is coming from.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with OUAT!
ReplyDeleteI think the triangle is coming from the CW. Big, big mistake!
ReplyDeleteGood point about PoI airing later. I hope they don't get too dark and continually miss out on saving people though since that will just get depressing, Heroes have to save the day sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI am vacillating between being willing to give the writers more leeway with Laurel and being disappointed with her motivation. I am okay with her wanting to capture the Hood at any cost but her motivation is so hypocritical that I am having a hard time buying it. I'd really like to like Laurel this year.
I agree that they have enough internal conflict without the love triangle cliche so I hope they get rid of it quickly. The Chosen One motif has been way too overplayed recently for me so I would rather they have Stephen just learning his way through his new powers while they all work together to find his dad. Yelling about the Chosen One over and over again is not doing his character any favors and I expect the other Tomorrow People will get fed up with it as much as I am already. If they find a way for Stephen and John to work together instead of being endlessly at each other's throats which is what it feels liek right now, I think some of my stress over botht eh love triangle and the Chosen One will be alleviated, I totally agree that the stunts can be spectacular with this show and I'm wondering if it is a budget thing why they haven't expanded on that. I hope not because if one thing besides starring an Amell is going to unite the Wednesday shows, it will be action.
BaTB: Who knew it could be so awesome!
ReplyDeleteArrow: Laurel, no offence but go get a life
Sleepy Hollow: Gets better and better
The Blacklist: I love this show so far!
NCIS LA disappointed you? How so?
ReplyDeleteYeah they need to start saving people again. Although, they could keep going the 'root' (see what I did there?) of an opening scene where they save someone and then the main portion of the episode they don't. That would be frustrating.
ReplyDeleteTotally agreed about Laurel. Her motives as to why she wants to catch him are utterly stupid. When truth be told, she wants to catch him because it's her fault (and ONLY hers) that Tommy died, and she's looking to take the blame away from herself. If she had better reasons, I'd be fine with it. And, when you think about it, Oliver did much more to help the city than she did in season 1. Basically every case she had resulted in the hood forcing the guy on trial to confess. Otherwise, she'd have ended up dying multiple times and wouldn't have closed any cases (if you forget about the dying bit).
I think they want the internal conflict so that it's tricky for Stephen to choose between the Tomorrow People and Ultra. However, Jedikiah's methods is making that an easy decision. Once John realises that Stephen is trying to help them he'll change his mind. One thing they relate to is that John worked for Ultra at some point, so he knows how awful it is. I think the show's just in its first few footsteps so it's just trying to figure out how to go about things. The stunts will come.

ReplyDeletemás veo "Beauty and The Beast" más me gusta.
bien "construida". Enhorabuena al equipo ...#BatB, gran trabajo.
Beauty & the Beast- So much more we need to know!
ReplyDeleteI think the writers is going to leave Olirel for a few seasons and gesture Oliver into Olicity after seeing fan response. "I love spending the night with u" - Felicity. Best line ever. And geez, what's with the wardrobe malfunction of Laurel's hair lately?
ReplyDeleteThat is my least favorite line of the season so far and I certainly hope the writers are not pandering to fans on either side. Shipping wars leave me cold so I would rather have Oliver sleep with half the city than go in either direction at this time. There are far more interesting things to delve in with these characters and they are just now learning how to be a team. "Olicity" gets in the way of that for me. I want to see crime fighting heroics and Felicity coming into her own as an equal player for Team Arrow. Toss off lines like the "night" one make her sound immature and are counterproductive to her new role as equal. I also happen to like Laurel's hair right now, even if I am still skeptical about her character and the direction they are taking her in.
ReplyDeleteTrue that! Sometimes the romance gets to the forefront instead of action. Me isn't doing any shipping wars. Even when I love Smallville and the Clark - Lana pairing, I do love Clark - Lois pairing. In this story I believe everyone has their time and place in the bigger story, so I'm going to hold on that in mind while watching Arrow. Although I hope that Oliver gets a bigger story than "crossing off" baddies each week. Wouldn't mind three/four episode arcs. I'm so done with the flashbacks to the island..
ReplyDeleteAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Improving every week. Absolutely loving it!
ReplyDeleteThe Vampire Diaries: DELENA FOREVER!! Why can't Stefan remember?
The Walking Dead: How did that kid die? I'm confused...
Heartland: OMG AMY AND TY ARE ADORABLE!!!
Beauty & the Beast, revamped on fire great show chemistry,& action!!!
ReplyDeleteI thnk Oliver's big story is going to be balancing his vow to not be a killer with fighting for justice in the city. It would be awesome if there is a through storyline this season as well - my prediction is Blood right now, but who knows. I too am tired of island flashbacks but I am excited to see that story is moving forward. With any luck, he's off the island and into whatever the Russian mobsters thing was by the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteOhh, seriously bad pun there. :-P
ReplyDeleteI blame Malcolm Merlyn most for his son's death but Laurel's paper run didn't help. Mostly though I am curious how a city on a direct fault line has so many people who know nothing about earthquake preparedness and safety. St. Louis hasn't had a major earhquake in almost 200 years and we still have earthquake drills and classes. It's not like the fault line Starling City sat on was a surprise so what the heck, Health Commission?
I am very curious about John's experiences with Ultra and if he is in anyway related to Jedikiah. I hope not but I do see Ultra as a way of ultimately bringing John and Stephen closer together too. They are going to need to be ont eh same page once they start actively looking for Stephen's dad. You are right that this show is still very young. I'm just not a patient viewer. I need to work on that.
Beauty and the Beast: Vincent + Catherine = True Love Never Dies!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't even planned. I accidently mispelt it when I was writing it and thought "I can make something out of this".
ReplyDeleteI blame Malcolm for the 500 other deaths. I blame Laurel for Tommy's. Simple as.
I've never actually thought about that. I guess they should have been more prepared.
I hope he isn't. Perhaps he's related to Stephen (by his dad) in some way. I know that would technically relate him to Jedikiah but I'd prefer that than flat out related to Jedikiah only.
I guess I was expecting more answers from Callen's past...
ReplyDeleteI was hoping we'd get more answers but I knew we wouldn't. They're not gonna just give answers away like that. It's one of the main parts of the show so they're gonna have it going on for as long as the show exists.
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the beast : Totally reinvented , amazing , still chemistry , kickass Kristin Kreuk and Beast 2.0 is fantastic
