    Matt actually getting a storyline? In what fantasy world are you living in? LOL. I'd be pleasantly shocked if they actually give him a storyline, let alone a good one.

    I wouldn't say he never had one. Maybe it might have not been SOLELY his. But I would say in season 3 he was definitely a bigger part of the show. Him wanting to drown to see Vicki, him now being able to see ghost. AND he's the glue, basically that holds Elena together(even Bonnie sometimes) . Ok he's not supernatural, but for me personally, that's the best thing about him. The fact that he can go through all of this and STILL remain human. I feel that's important, and that's why I feel JP hasn't cut him off yet. B/c there has to be some middle ground and he's it. I'd choose him over Tyler anyday. I seriously feel that Tyler has run his course on the show.

    But can he see ghosts now, or was it just Vicki and back then? I feel like Jeremy is the only one who can see ghosts (so we can make him special and when that wasn't enough, they did that storyline last year with the Hunter's mark). That storyline in S3 was the last real attempt to give him something that ISN'T being the girls' emotional support. Well, that and the sorta storyline with Rebekah, that they knew wouldn't go anywhere, cause she was going to the spin off.

    At least with Tyler they have to write that he goes off when they can't figure out what to do with him, with Matt he just doesn't appear. I like the character, but he's the least developed in the bunch and I don't think they really know what to do with him.

    Yes. Matt can still see ghost. It wasn't just for that storyline. And I think Damon depends on Matt too. Sure they don't get along, but b/c Matt is never really a target (or even when he is thanks to Kol) he's always aware of everything and gets the scoop to warn Damon, or Elena, etc of what's going on. Especially in season 4. They can always give Matt a storyline where Kelly returns, and maybe they'll finally do that succubus storyline, that they once started working on. And with his Mebekah storyline, there will always be crossovers, so they're not done yet. I don't mind Mebekah but it bothers me that Matt is/was COMPLETELY against dating vampires (We all know why) and now he wants to do this whole "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas thing" That kinda irks be but then again, I feel it also evens their playing field. Tyler on the other hand. I mean they did his whole storyline already, his next storyline would pretty much be to die. I mean really what does he have left? Caroline's off to college, other break up will occur eventually, she'll end up being interested in someone else and what is Tyler gonna do? Try and run for Mayor? Step into his parents shoes? IDTS. He really doesn't have anything left. His pack is dead, his family is dead, he gave Matt the deed to his house (although he could move in with him) and his gf is off enjoying life. If they're going to bring him back, or rather when they do, they need to have one helluva storyline for Tyler. It's annoying to see him once every 3 or so weeks, at least with Matt if we don't see him, we can just assume he's working. With Tyler he's off running for his life, we don't know where he is, how's he's living, he doesn't even return Caroline's calls, or didn't when she called to tell him about Jeremy,I know he was in hiding, but still Jeremy ended up being one of his really close friends.

    i hope they put some storyline on Matt this time, lets hope that trip with Rebbecca really change him like the producers has said
