BETRAYAL AT THE MASQUERADE BALL --- After discovering interesting news about someone in Marcel's (Charles Michael Davis) inner circle, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) come together to attempt to unravel Marcel's empire from within in spite of Elijah's (Daniel Gillies) concerns. They enlist help from Sophie (Daniella Pineda), who is reluctant to get involved for fear of the wrath of Marcel's secret weapon, Davina (Danielle Campbell). Rebekah sneakily invites an oblivious Cami (Leah Pipes) to a huge vampire party thrown by Marcel, managing to anger Marcel in the process. Elsewhere, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) learns from the witch Sabine (guest star Shannon Kane) that the supernatural creatures of New Orleans are reacting to the potential existence of a hybrid baby. Chris Grismer directed the episode written by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (#103).

Episode two and Rebekah is already willfully putting an innocent person in danger. That's disappointing.
ReplyDeleteepisode three and there is already a ball going on and here i thought they would hold off for at least until the seventh episode. And i take it Marcel doesn't like humans in his balls. they can go to the parties but not to the ball. what are they suppose to drink? and i take it Cami will be finding out about the vampires in N.O this episode.
ReplyDeleteEpisode three. Right. I should really learn to read a little better. Anyway...
ReplyDeleteI don't think Plec and Co. ever miss a chance to throw a dance or a ball so getting this out of the way quickly doesn't surprise me at all.
do you want to establish a wager as to who is unmansking under the stars to share a steamy make-out session. the couples are Marcel/Rebekah and Klaus/Cami. and correct me if i am wrong, didn't Klaus fall in love or became obsess with Caroline at a ball? is it possible that there are horses outside Marcels house too? ok ill stop being so pessimistic but i just read the entire interview by Plec and what little hope i had for the originals is crashing fast.
ReplyDeleteIt has been said that the main focus of The Originals will be family, as opposed to TVD and romance, so I'm willing to go with that until I see it contradicted onscreen. I'm not expecting any of these characters to stay celibate but, if Plec intends to be true to her word, their libidos should not take over the series.
ReplyDeleteyou are right. it remains to be seen but i say that by the end of this episode we will have a good idea of where Plec is taking us. and in her interview, did she really call Matt legendary?
ReplyDeleteShe certainly did. Although I'm sure she said it cheekily, Plec's affinity for Matt Donovan is so unwavering she may actually believe what she's saying.
ReplyDeleteJoseph has said he doesn't have a love interest so far, which I actually think is a good thing. In a deleted scene from the backdoor pilot Marcel indicated to Klaus that he was interested in Cami and then Klaus turned around and left Caroline a voice-mail.
ReplyDeleteCami is the only character who is unaware of the supernatural and maybe Marcel wants to keep it that way?
Okay, now I definitely know that is not going to make it into the series. The new scenes for the pilot were shot sometime in August, long after TVD s4 ended so those deleted scenes are from the back door pilot not from episode one, Always and Forever. I don't even think the phone call to Caroline is going to be in 1.01 or the conversation with Cami and Klaus at the end. But I guess we will know by this time next week.
ReplyDeletePlease everyone!!! just focus on the fact that we'll finally get to see #Klebekah together again!!!!!!!
